Doesn't really matter which one wins in this contest. They're both beasts and very close to each other, especially considering the Dodge was an automatic!
The best challenger to buy is the hellcat widebody. It handles better, and the redeye isn't really faster due to the redeye's troubles keeping the rubber planted to the ground. The challenger is about 150+ Lbs lighter than the charger, and u get 20X9.5 wheels. If u added say a set of RPF1 Einkei 18X10's, you would save considerable unsprung weight of the challenger as well, which is noticeable more than curb weight. @@843MudMafia. can we use yours?
6:20 - the habibi yell had me rolling lmao
This guys always losing the race on which ever car he’s put in
Should of been the redeye instead of regular hellcat but enjoyed the race
Thanks for the video, on a different channel "not naming any names" they had the TRX out running the GT500 I just hope they're watching your video. I knew then that wasn't right, the TRX is a bad ass truck but no way can it stand beside the 500.
The TRX does from a dig. AWD is no joke. Once the GT500 hooks us though the TRX gets obliterated.
While I prefer the Shelby, Hellcats are amazing. I love everything about these cars.
Even with a bad start Mustang still won Impressive
Idk why they testing an old hellcat vs new gt500. Like obvs mustang will win. It's lighter, more power, and newer. Now try the redeye which would be the actual match up
The driver change and the hellcat get slow
@@Exhausted707 what more could change about the challenger? They retuned it or it got a transmission revision?
That first mustang driver is better of driving a golf cart. Those cars are ment for professional drivers.
The guy behind the wheel of the Ford Sucks big time! That Mustang has serious horse power!
Gt500 has 43 more horsepower and weighs 300lbs less I'm not sure what you thought would happen
Camaro guy here..
The Hellcat had the jump on every single run and all but the first 1 the Mustang came back and gapped the Cat. Impressive! 👍👍Win or lose I'd rather have the Shelby
If they would of done a 50 or 60 roll the GT500 would of put a monster gap on the Dodge!
Hey just want to say I respect you for being man enough to know when you're unable to do something I respect your Channel first time watching it now I'm a subscriber Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's
The critical element is the skill of the driver, as seen in this video!
"This thing won of course, as expected. "
Best sentence of the whole video !!! 💣
One things for sure those are two absolutely beautiful engines
With HP numbers this high it really is a negligible difference. It all comes down to looks, feel, and manufacturer preference
Just from intro
Mustang: burnout, all of the cameo, 50 revs
Challenger: 3 peek a boo's and 2 revs
Clear bias lol. Good vid
"Puts the car on the thing." ...🤔...Great clarity of thought 💭 ...
I'd take the Shelby no hesitation i prefer track cars
What a great niche this channel has carved out. There are a lot of great channels that offer a detailed review of cars and I enjoy them ie Matt Maran but if you are not in the market to purchase and just want to enjoy seeing how various cars stack up against one another this is great. I enjoy more and more, real world conditions, everyday drivers etc, its excellent !!
When he said he’d put it in track mode, I WAS SO TRIGGERED. Why not put it in DRAGSTRIP mode?
This just shows no matter what you got it all comes down to the skill of the driver.
Run 1.. you don't know anything about vehicles. RUN 2.. THANK YOU MY G! All the rolls thank you for representing.
Gt 500 just needed a good driver. 👍 easy win for ford
They should have used the Demon as opposed to the Hellcat
That was an awesome battle cry that gave the GT500 a boost.
I'd still take the Challenger, bigger and more reminiscent of the old muscle
The high reving and the weight advantages made the difference.❤️👍Ford should still make this car it is soo amazing.Ford went from a 760 horsepower track king to the dark horse.Dont get me wrong I'm thankful they build the mustang Gt and darkhorse. They are all wonderful cars🙂
Hellcat would win every round if Sam was driving the Shelby .
Lots and lots of gas ⛽️ was wasted today 😫🙌🏼🤙🔥💯
Tell me about it
Totally worth it :D
Sam, Shelby hasn’t built the Mustang since the 60s. Ford Motor Company builds the Shelby GT 500. Special vehicle team. (SVT)
Well his last mustang was the 2011 GT500 before passing , idk if you’d count that one since then
Ford performance
SVT is no more. As the other person said, it's Ford Performance.
@@1470boyz no his last was the 2014
Double clutch auto is untouchable in gt500
It was the way he started screaming 😂 please just always have him drive 😂
"I had a horrible launch" Like how, it's an automatic, just stomp on the gas and point it somewhere
707 HP on the narrow body Cat.. which is a 2018 or older. I'll race you in my 22 widebody Charger Redeye. Would be a much better race.
Sure, just join us. DM on IG
You'd still lose to the GT500...
@@yusufgta4341 would still like to see it lol
You will still loose to the gt500
@@shelbygt500miranda7 idk, it beat the regular hellcat 2 out of 3 but not by much. The red eye with another 90hp would be interesting
With a good Dig launch (by it's owner) and then it's power during the roll racing. The GT500 is a Nasty Fast Mustang. I should also add the GT500 sounds awesome compared to the Hellcat and I own a modded Hemi powered Chrysler 300C. These GT500s are built by Ford, Not Shelby. Ford works with Shelby and pays them for using their name, but they are built on the same line as the Mustang GT.
Redeye or Demon 😈 against the GT500. Same GT500 owner tho. Wanna see him make noises again...lol
literally hahaha
👍
Demon has added mods same can be done to the GT500 and bye bye Demon
@@fmly4life769 added from the factory. Are the 500's mods added at the factory too? I'm not a Challenger fan boy. I just think the Redeye or Demon are more in the GT500 class or category than the regular Hellcat. I'd say the GT350 would take the Hellcat. Probably the proper competitor.
@@venom999333 a gt350 is not in a hellcats class straight lime supercharged versus a track car u don't know nothing about cars.. and a demon is meant for drag strip with a transbrake.. put it against cobrajet and watch what happens. I do believe a redeye is a better comparison but it'd still would lose.
Come on now, I don’t care what manufacturer you favor, as a gearhead, how can you not love the music these two monsters make? Glorious!!!!
The exhaust note on the Challenger is so much better to my ears
Yeah it’s also the weight and horsepower difference the mustang is pretty lighter than the dodge challenger hellcat. If it was the hellcat redeye then it would be more fair.
Facts
The mustang is also a more sophisticated vehicle and doesn't have an ancient chasis
I would had loved to race that GT500 with my modded Stinger :(
Sure
@@SamCarLegion Let me know, I'll take the drive up there.
Let’s do it!!! I have a stinger as well and I’m in love with it after 2 years 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What mods your GT Stinger has?
RWD, AWD?
@@vadim7131 FBO with lap3 2.5 ECU, lap3 stage 2 TCU, CPI with JB4 control, AWD.
Doesn't really matter which one wins in this contest. They're both beasts and very close to each other, especially considering the Dodge was an automatic!
The GT500 is automatic too
My boy looking pretty green behind the wheel
🤣🤣😆😆driver reaction at 7:02 ctfu
Hey Hellcat everyone gets lucky once.... sorry buddy.2 very very impressive powers in the future 2 thumbs up👍👍 good job guys ...I still ❤️my FORD'S
Now try a super stock vs the gt500 😈
Or a demon or redeye
@@zurielthompson6420 for real. Putting ford (and Shelby)s best mustang up against a base hellcat.
I’m saying like if your gonna put fords best mustang than meet dodge half way like wtf that’s like putting a mustang gt to a hellcat
How about vs a cobra jet.
@@S550GOD not a street legal car. Try a drag pack 🤣
The 807 HP challenger Super stock comes with 18 inch wheels anyway. Also maybe a carbon fiber hood from Seibon too? Unless it already comes with one, haven't looked.
I love both cars! My dad and uncle were Ford Racing fans. The 427 Shelby Cobra is my dream car!
Any one get here from the "SHELBY Unveils 1300hp Code Red GT500" video?
