Im not sure you could call it competition now. ConsumerSam has practically won. *comment by ConsumerSam* 😁 The last mainstream mod left is foam / dampening behind the pcb. I'll have to get creative with that one...
@@DoubleTakeTechUk iv heard sorbothane, neoprene sheets are best rather than bog standard foam. The key is to add mass to increase damping. Saying that when i wanted to add foam i got it from hobbycraft 😂 50p for some nice 22.5x30cm sheets in black. Easy to cut and layer up
Well im sure the 50p sheets improved the sound even if it was a small amount. Yep there are a few options, you have to wait to see which one i go with 🤷🏻♂️
sounds really nice! you think it will sound like this if i lube my getreon reds on my epomaker ep84? Im pretty sure it will but i dont know a lot about keyboards.
Hi Exdder, thank you for the comment. The keys themselves would sound similar to this but due to different bodies, the sound may be a bit different. The type of lube you use can also have a slight influence in to the sound so go with the Krytox 205g if you are aiming for a similar sound. You should defos look at adding some foam on the EP84, it usually improves the sound quality. Something I've been meaning to do too! Happy modding!
they sound quite good tbh! you and YooMyr have a nice competition now. let's se what mod is next
