The man is very talented, but I mean, what he’s saying is fully and carefully scripted by himself and a team. All he has to do is read the teleprompter or go line by line and it’s all spliced together to make a video that holds your interest and has you commenting what you did 😊

One thing I'd like to add as an S24 Ultra user. The adaptive battery actually does understand your usage metrics and improve your battery life over time. I get an easy 2 day battery life even though I use my phone with fairly heavy usage.

@@RadiationNetwork Arun and the Tech Chap used the screens at very different brightness levels. The Tech Chap set each phone to just 150 nits. Here, the brightness is almost maxed out.

As a first time iphone user with the 15pro, my biggest gripe has been the battery and the Photos app and also the lack of a universal back button/gesture.
And this battery competition has me drooling for the Galaxy.

Samsung came a long way. I still have my s22 ultra with Exynoss chipset, and it barely lasts 6-7 hours. But seeing this I will upgrade to this or the s25 next year.
Imo, I would wait for the S25 ultra to be released, S24 ultras will hit the market at a discounted rate and refurbished and buy the 24 ultra for a 30% discount.

Edit: just went back to last year’s battery test and the iPhone 15 plus did over 13 hours. The 15 pro max also did 11 hours 41 mins. Would the updated app list you used really make that big of a difference this time round?
He literally mentioned that the battery tests each year are done differently, so you should not compare results from one video to another because the variables and apps are different. So yes, last year test saw the 2nd place 15 Pro Max getting 11h 41mins and the 1st place 15 Plus getting 13h 19min, but in this test, 15 Pro Max got 9h 35min and is 4th place.

If there’s anything about batteries that I do know, it’s that degradation can happen even if a battery isn’t being used much. The 15PM Arun got for the test could technically be new but the battery cell within might be several months old and thus not contain as much actual capacity as it otherwise would have. Last year’s Pro Max still did well though compared to the non-Pro 16s solely due to the LTPO display being more efficient than the standard 60hz Apple used on the non-Pros which is locked at that refresh rate.
Either way, I still treat battery tests as more of a baseline of what to expect with current conditions and not as the one-all-be-all because as others have already said, it varies based on your usage.

Just upgraded from a 14 Pro Max to the S24 Ultra and the battery life difference is absolutely incredible. I watch a lot of videos on my phone and do some gaming as well and it has consistently lasted me from 7am til 10pm. That's mind-blowing, especially since I remember battery life being a negative on my previous Androids.

These tests are heavily screwed who ever does it (even if it’s me). Multiple variables. Watched other person whose s24 ultra died near 16 plus.
My advice .. just enjoy the content but don’t run to buy based on these results. Also battery test on newer Models of phone ( notice I mentioned Phones not just iPhone) should be done after 3-4 weeks as phones are constantly learning /indexing in background. Good video. 5:28 there is a cut that adds about 30 minutes to the timer without any affects to the batteries of any phone(either the battery graphic OR the phone screens). Is this intentional?
Yo I just noticed that, that’s really weird. The standard time in the top left corner of the timer smartphone also jumps in time, so time definitely passed. Hopefully he clarifies.

One thing to note is that the samsung was released on january, and the iphone 16 and its variations were released on september this year. so the iphone may not be as optimized as the samsung galexy s24 ultra, but the arguement that the iphone 15 and it's variation were released september last year and darefore should be more optimized as the samsung s24 ultra. so it should be an equal playing field

Depends on what you want by upgrading. Personally I'm not. Not enough changes that impact my user experience to make the switch. I have an s20 ultra and no plans to upgrade for at least another 2 to 3 years. I've found upgrading every 5 to 7 years is enough of an incremental improvement to justify an upgrade where I'm looking primarily at better batteries and better camera. But right now, the s20 ultra is still performing extremely well and still don't have any significant performance issues 4 years into the phone
I would suggest you wait for the s25 ultra
I personally switched from Samsung to iPhone and regretted it because the iPhone felt so lackluster compared to my samsung phone, so I switched back to Samsung in less than a year.

Fact about battery percentage: Does everyone knows that there's actually no way of telling exact % of energy or charge in a battery, the phones just use extremely smart algorithms and guesses depending on voltage and times of output and all such stuff... And just guesses what it thinks is the most accurate would be.
So battery % is basically a little bit too complex than normal people think.
