    • @unboxedexperience8809
      @unboxedexperience8809 4 роки тому +41

      C the clicky sound of blue switches aren’t as bad as many people say honestly. As a programmer who spends most of my time on a computer I thought I wanted a kind of keyboard with that kind of feedback kinda like of a typewriter or something. I liked it and used it for a good few years before I passed it on to another worker who needed it. Time passes and I found myself spending more time on a computer for work and was looking for another good mechanical keyboard.
      Doing some research and looking into some videos here made me realize the clicky sound of blue switches ISN’T really the one that I was really looking for.
      My mother is an accountant and spending time as a kid around her while she was working I find her always clacking away with those really old and big calculators that has a printer built-in that prints the numbers on a small piece of paper similar to a cash register.
      I would lul myself to sleep with the sound of those CLACKING keys that she types on the calculator. It was a very comforting sound to me and still makes me reminisce that nice wholesome sound today.
      When I got the chance to do some research more on red switches and watching and hearing their typing test, I realized I wanted more of that CLACK than the CLICK!
      the problem with red switches is you sacrifice the tactile feel that you get with blue switches. Then theres brown switches. Which are basically the same as the blue switches minus that CLICK sound.
      That being said, I finally decided on getting an Akko retro keyboard with brown switches and I’ve never been happier with my purchase. If I can turn back time and had the chance to actually test, hands on, with the blue and brown switches, maybe I would have chosen the browns as my first mechanical keyboard.
      To summarize, blue switches are okay, the clicky sound aren’t really as annoying as most people say, and you wouldn’t be missing anything BUT, if you get the chance, try out other switches if you get the opportunity to do so.
      Good luck on your decision and let me know what you ended up buying!

    I intended to buy brown switches but I ended up getting a good deal for a blue switches keyboard. The first weeks were awesome, the tactile and the sound were really satisfying, but after a few months I realized just how loud they are if you live in a house that practically doesn't have sound barriers.
    Everytime Im using my keyboard and there is someone in the room besides mine, they CAN hear it. It's very stressful because I know it can be annoying for them. It got to the point where I started to get annoyed as well but I don't have another keyboard and this one is still functional and relatively new.
    I don't regret my purchase since it was still a good deal and a good first experience, but If you're someone that might experience the same problem as me, I would recommend you either choose a different switch or keep your old keyboard to take a break from the sound once you start to get tired of it. Taking breaks on my laptop is what keep me from buying a new one.

    I'd prefer the red switches the most just because it is perfect for gamers, it also sounds really nice. I don't really like loud and tactile switches. Brown switches are not the best but I would say it's the second best. Good video btw!

    Since i really like the clicky sounds and the feel of a mechanical keyboard and i've tried all three types, here's my opinon, with number one being my preference:
    3) Red: Personally, i don't like red switches. They're basically browns without a bump in the middle and when you press the keys it doesn't really give a good feeling of typing on a mechanical keyboard. They're soft and can register keystrokes easily which makes typos more frequent. Plus, They're more expensive than blue and brown switches.
    2)Brown: I don't mind using brown switches. They're pretty good and are cheaper than red switches. They're silent and also have the bump, so typos aren't a problem. The only problem is that they aren't very comfortable (maybe it's just according to me) because they have the bump but don't make a satisfying sound.
    1)Blue: These are my favorite type of switches. They're the cheapest, have a bump and have a satisfying sound. Typos aren't common at all and they're actually more durable than both of the above switches. But if you don't like clicky keyboards or are looking for a keyboard in an office or something then i recommend going for browns.
