I wasn’t getting sound all of the sudden, Thank you for sharing regarding the update, never knew about that. Hoping this fixes the sound issue. I was watching TV and then I went inside and it came back in and all of a sudden there was no sound and I’ve been trying to figure out what happened. I don’t know if my cat stepped on a remote control or not but I’ve been trying to get back to Sound. Maybe this will help.
What if I don’t have usb connection plug my reciever isn’t newer it’s the Yamaha HTR 5740 is it too old to install and or /update
I followed the procedure as described and when I pressed the info button the screen said VERIFYING. After that the screen said DEVICE ERROR. The trouble I was having was I could not get sound from my computer to go through the speakers. When I checked to see if the radio was playing, it would play but the speakers would cut out. If I held the side of the receiver, it would play again. Would your fix remedy that, or do I have something else going on? I don't know what it is that I would need to buy to connect to the internet.
Lost my sound after the update.
Blu ray player works but no sound from apps through my amp RX-581
How do you connect these to the internet? Can it scan for wifi and then you enter wifi code? What was the issue? I have a few where they make strange sounds in some of the sound program settings, also seems to be lacking bass which can sometimes come back in some of the sound program settings, I suspect one of 3 IC's has gone bad either DSP, DAC or the one that does tone and switching.

Why does it go into automatic in straight when I put on a movie with dolby atmos and the Yamaha screen tells me straight instead of atmos?

I am having auto tripping problem in My Yahama YHT 299.
As I am turning it on it continuously switching to many functions with tik tik sound.
Once I had reset it through pressing power button +info+ tone control button same time.
that time it works. But this time I have done it multiple times and the results were same

Went thru the network verifying but said says File not ready.
Error came up at the end, saying 0020🤔 I have a RX- A710

For u do you no of any kind of adapter I can buy to have usb on my reciever just wanted to see if mybe you heard of one ,I wanto be able to plug into my internet modem or router Lol which ever one thanks I’ll try see if you had a reply for me Seems you no a lot about Yamaha and it’s my favorite brand so mybe you have the correct answers 4 me Thanx GB happy new year Mariezee94
no there is no way to add a usb if you dont have one. there is no such adapter
