I am a black man who’s listened to Led Zeppelin since 1975. They quite simply are one of the three best bands of all time. Led Zeppelin, Parliament Funkadelic, Grateful Dead. Nuff said. Led Zeppelin is extraordinary music not heard then or now. Glad I got to enjoy them while they were young. Enjoy young people!

What is this ENOUGH that you speak of? There is never enough Led Zeppelin!!!! I once told my new boss to come back after the song was over, never, never interrupt Led Zeppelin. He looked at me astonished, then walked away, luckily he was a fan too 😂😂😂
yeah i'm 68. i saw them live in '73. Robert Plant has a 5 octivge range. Page is considered one the best guitarist ever, John B one of the best drummers ever and Jones? could play anything. love the reaction. ❤
The "secret sauce" regarding Led Zeppelin was the interaction between jimmy Page and John Bonham. Throw in Robert Plant and a dash of a very competent and under rated John Paul Jones and you have possibly the greatest band to ever grace a stage or the grooves of vinyl.
The two sides of Jimmy Page... A monster in the studio, precise, accurate, able to replicate over and over. On the stage, he and the band improvise, interpret and effortlessly expand on the songs. You'll never hear them play songs the same live. A Jam Band.
Someone (Danny Goldberg?) once called JP a "Quadruple Threat" for: his guitar playing, his songwriting, his producing work, and his charismatic live performances. We are so, um, FOURtunate to have him, and Zep, in our lives!
he actually wasnt precise or accurate, nor able to replicate over and over. he said so himself.. if you make a mistake just keep going and things will work out in the end.. we all fumble every now and then, knowing how to not lose yourself in that moment is what makes you great. and he sure as hell was great.
Page's legendary status on guitar is well earned, but I don't think he gets enough credit for also being one of the greatest album producers ever. The production on the LZ albums was perfection and much of it ahead of its time. Shout out to JPJ too for his multi-instrumental contributions and orchestrations. I've been listening to this band since their first album came out and I'll never get tired of them. So nice to see the younger generation being exposed to this band of prodigies.
That funky jacket with the ornaments hanging off the sleeves is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. Yes, Jimmy Page, the guitarist is A MASTER VIRTUOSO on the guitar. He is world renowned. Jimmy Page thought of Led Zeppelin as primarily a BLUES band and took most of his influences from African-American blues.
I was there for both Friday and Saturday night.. we where all one. Still to this day I remember the feeling of floating through MSG. Zeppelin is to this day the greatest band of all time...on recordings and LIVE !!!
I am jealous. But the downside to witnessing this performance is. This is as good as it gets and every band you go to see you will compare them to this concert and they are going to come up short
I was there for the Saturday show. Flew in from Dallas to meet a friend that served with in Vietnam. Stayed with him and his Ole Lady. She hooked me up with her cousin. She flew back with me Monday. We have been married 50 years.
Great reaction . I feel blessed to have grown up in that era of real music . They put their heart and soul into each performance . Page added so much flare to blues leads. He's one of the few rock guitarists to get what blues is about and knew how to play it right. He was great with the tones too.
His scream at 9.54 is what sets him apart from other vocalists, he not only has a hig chest voice, and blends, and a great head voice, but he goes to a place where no one else does, . .incredible.

So glad you've discovered Zep, the journey is only started, they band grew, influences changed as did each album, never doing the same thing twice. Four Fantastic musicians worthy of being in any top band. Together they played off each other and were something.. Hammer of The Gods!

The audience indeed knew they were hearing greatness, and an individual performance that no others before or after them will ever hear. That is the greatness of live performance, when a band doesn't play like a jukebox, instead leaving opportunity for improvisation and experimentation to arise based on an artist's mood, state of mind, level of drunkenness or severity of intoxication. It's different every time, but always maintains the spirit of the original piece. Add to that a high level of talent and musicianship, and these folks are getting their money's worth ($7.50 for most seats at this show).
I saw Zepplin 5 times back in the day, they always did a minimum of 2 hour shows. These 4 guys together really were the secret sauce, all equally talented. I live in Los Angeles and met Plant at a club in 73, super nice humble guy. Sexy as hell! They could have done 10 shows and always sold them out quickly! The one fucked up part? LED ZEPPELIN were, are and forever will be the greatest to ever do it,they could get together right now and sell out any stadium in the world, even in their late 70s, with Jason Bonham on drums of course.long live the mighty Zeppelin
Their sounds first entered my ears when I was 9 years old. Listened to everything they released growing up. Zeppelin is a banquet at heavens gate. Everything else like a ham sandwich at a picnic on a good day.
I liked the subtitles. Always great to see a pretty woman swoon a bit on Robert Plant, lol! Glad you dug this performance. Many more such out there. Random three songs you didnt ask for, but might like? LOL, "Going to California" (soft, acoustic, gorgeous), "The Rover" (harder, groovy, funky) "The Rain Song --Live MSG" (soft AND hard).
I love this song. It's bluesy and sexy as hell. And watching a beautiful lady groove to it. Now I don't feel bad bout sitting on my back porch with a glass of wine this early. 😅🥂
I love the written comments while you are viewing the videos. Instead of interrupting with vocal comments you give us your thought written so as not to disturb the performance - that is great.
There are a few live guitar solos that rank near the top. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd lays out a couple of great ones in "Comfortly Numb" during the Pulse concert. Eddie Van Halen doing "Eruption" from Live Without a Net. And Jimmy Page rips a couple during "The Song Remains the Same/The Rain Song" and "Dazed and Confused" from Madison Square Garden in 1973.
This live concert this year will be 50 years old...from 1973 at Madison Square Garden. Amazing quality whe you think of the time is was recorded in. The band itself and thier talent is best described by Jack Black at thier introduction to the Hall of Fame: You sold yourself to satan...no other explanation to your ungodly talent 🙂 I have been listening to these dudes for 50+ years...and they only become better with time.....or should I say...my appriciation for them only grows by the day.
If you haven't heard it already, check out "The Song Remains The Same" and "The Rain Song" from the same live movie you just heard. The fit together perfectly....fire, then a journey through a cool misty forest.

I love Led Zeppelin! I’ve seen Robert Plant in concert 4 times. I love this song! My favorite Led Zeppelin song is Rain Song!❤️
Great video, love the way you just let it play and add text comments, and you're so pretty. Please do MORE of the mighty Led Zeppelin!
I was lucky enough to see Led Zeppelin twice and there's nothing like it ever onstage it's amazing
🤘 Rock Gods 🤘 ❤there will never be another......"" You know.
They say they sold their souls to the devil,,, R.I.P BONZO 😭
Ahhhh your reacting to my favourite song ! Well one of them, and agreed this felt iconic, superlative, inspirational
Beautiful that the younger generation will be able to love these guys once all us old guys who experienced them turn to dust ❤❤❤❤
If you haven't heard it already, check out "The Song Remains The Same" and "The Rain Song" from the same live movie you just heard. The fit together perfectly....fire, then a journey through a cool misty forest.
