Cecil was a great leader honestly, true grey morality, but he did what was best. He made use of even his enemies. His flaw was not being able to detect when someone is going undercover. Omni Man, and later Robot being the most major examples.
Plot twist: Cecil uses the Mauler twins create a younger clone. Creates an upgrade suite and becomes the Batman the invincible earth needs!!! He will be the kryptonite for all Viltrums Ohhh yeaahhh
Man Conquest Vs Mark was the best damn comic fight ive seen, it was beautiful the bloody details and primal rage and desperation of the two really makes the fight feel more...I can feel more of their fight
The word I would use for Cecil is pragmatist he doesn't really like what he does but at the same time he knows that it is what's necessary to ensure earth's survival and while yes some of those decisions result in mistakes everyone has made mistakes. Cecil is a man willing to sacrifice anything for the greater good even if others label him as a monster.
Idk why Cecil never thought of getting samples from actually fully formed viltumites like omni man or conquest. Cecil has really good opportunities to do so, omni man would've been ideal when he was removing in the hospital after his fight with the guardians. And conquest would be good after invincible beat him. If Cecil did that then he'd have a lot more STRONGER viltrumites
I find it really interesting how the show decided to wait until episode 8 for the fight and had all these missions before that versus the comic that had the fight then the missions

But unlike a generic government villain his actual goal is ultimately the protection of earth firmly planting him in that morally grey area. he may do some fucked up shit but everything he does has sound reason to it if you can look past the moral hangups.
Cecil was so badass in episode 7 season 1
Cecil is one of those really mysterious characters that I just wanna know more about.
Cecil always reminds me of Amanda Waller & Nick Fury in his goals and motivations.
Cecil is one of my favorite characters he can make the hard and the cruel decisions without let his emotions take control of him unlike most of the other good characters, smart character and do anything to keep earth safe no matter the cost:)
Well Kirkman is on the show as writer so I would hope events flow the same as comics
just finished the show and literally went online to look for a video like this🖤
cecil was absolutely my favourite.
RIP, Cecil. You probably had to have known that this was how you'd go out.
I just found out about this series from recommended clips and instantly fell in love with Cecil, now I'm bummed to know he died so awfully..
Part of me hopes Cecil continues to live (at least a little longer) in the show, dude's just too cool.
I will admit, I came to the series expecting it to be re-written just as an animated version of The Boys, at least in spirit. But... It won my heart.
I actually like the superhero genre, I like Spiderman, I like Ghost Rider (grew up reading the Danny Ketch run), so... Yeah, seeing that Mark is actually trying to be the best hero he can be, and the rest of the Guardians as well, brings a good feeling.
Kinda doesn't make sense for Robot to have killed Cecil when they both have the same goal: world safety.
The Robot War Arc is considered by most the worst arc in the series. Robot becomes essentially a way worse, and less interesting version of Nolan, in literally like 3 or 4 pages, with almost no believable explanation for his very extreme change in behavior.
Hopefully they will fix that and other issues in the show
Guess robot became empathetic af after getting out of that time tube dimension
@@halfiem2510 Yeah I get that there's no way he wouldn't change by being on the Flaxan homeworld... But Monster Girl only slightly changed, and it was for the better, not the worse. Robot just became a douchebag.
@@Akiraspin fr i really hate tge robot arc and the arc where mark travelled to the past, the 5 years timeskip still ok to me, but eve find another man just seems so unnecessary
I gotta say Cecil was probably the best character in Season 1.
At first there was a worry he'd be ur stereotypical 'controlling government bad guy' especially with his morally grey line but he was perfectly consistent in his character proving to be sympathetically morally good (not ethical) and yet brilliant and calculating as a man of his position should be.
He's like a mix of the Rick Dicker (Incredibles) and Amanda Waller (Justice League)
Man, they really did Cecil dirty at the end.
Awesome This video was up quicker then I expected thank you
Keep up the great work
I know he's not been in the show yet but Angstrom levy would be a cool one to see
I hope they don’t kill him off or becomes a villain in the prime series
*Nolan beats Mark senseless* “Look at that. Taking it like a champ!”
I love this character, and his voice actor does a great job
Man I love this guy. Knows what's what, does what needs to be done, and he has a heart.
Love these vids they are uploaded at the right time
I never use my Amazon video prime stuff until Omni Man came out
Vinland saga and the boys are why I even got prime video!
Invincible gives me another reason to keep it!
@@anyhonywilliams6160 sounds like I got two more shows to watch, I read the manga for Vinland sage,
@@porkchop1659 The manga is excellent!!
Show is fantastic IMO, plus bloody
If you have not seen the boys, please give it a try....if you like Omni man, you'll love Homelander.
@@anyhonywilliams6160 I will definitely watch the boys too! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know thank you
Wow I can't believe Omni Man is gay that's crazy
Honestly Cecil is a really good character he does some questionable things that need to be done but his heart is in the right place
Literally was just trying to look him up! Thank you!
We got you bro!
Walton goggins is so good in this role.
I’m excited to this character in more seasons.
12:02 oh fu-
LOL, love how this comic balances the comedy
This character is really interesting and tragic
Now I understand why Mark & his father destroyed robot & his squad
Cecil was a great leader honestly, true grey morality, but he did what was best. He made use of even his enemies.
His flaw was not being able to detect when someone is going undercover. Omni Man, and later Robot being the most major examples.
Here is what you need to know, Cecil is like if Batman and Amanda Waller had a kid
An nick fury
Ew
@@IzumiDaniel whats wrong with that they’re cool characters
@@ukplug6629 It’s the idea of them having kids I think
Cause Batman is incredibly rich and smart like Cecil.
Plot twist: Cecil uses the Mauler twins create a younger clone. Creates an upgrade suite and becomes the Batman the invincible earth needs!!!
He will be the kryptonite for all Viltrums
Ohhh yeaahhh
I haven't read the comics yet, so I was shocked to see 'Pitt' is in the series... I used to collect that comic when it first came out in the 90's.
Cecil is the batman of invincible not darkwing, because Cecil has PLANS
Darkwing is the opposite of Batman, Poor and Stupid.
"400 billion dollars for the world's most expensive nosebleed"
I was just going to re watch some of your invincible videos and then this popped up
The technology in the Invincible universe is really impressive
When I saw Robot slice Cecil's throat in the comic, I thought maybe he could get to a medic fast enough, and then Robot stomped his head.
You just got another sub, happy and glad you’ve done the research for us to enjoy!
I love Cecil soo much, At first i thought he was bad, But he is actually a very good man !
I love that he’s different from all the other men on top that are very authoritative and make stupid decisions
When faced with existential threats on the daily, you can't afford to lose. I completely understand why ceicel did what he did.
I really do love your channel. You always dish out solid contents.
Idk why everyone hates him while he is litelary helping everyone
Because the writer told them to. That's literally the only reason.
He's my favorite character in the series at the moment
You guys deserve a metal for the good content. Are you guys going to do a how powerful is ( insert invincible character)?
Watching 4 ads in a 15 minute video was super cool thank u
Cecil is like Nick fury with a Amanda waller trait
Man Conquest Vs Mark was the best damn comic fight ive seen, it was beautiful the bloody details and primal rage and desperation of the two really makes the fight feel more...I can feel more of their fight
Please do an episode on Thragg!
Or on the Viltrumite race as a whole!
He'll take care of that once the Invincible TV series gets to that point of showing Thragg off, at least a little bit.
Ay Spawn is here!, Can't wait to see him in the show
Cecil's my favorite character and knowing he does just freaking BREAKS me man TwT time to go make AUs where he does die
Cecil seems to adamantly follow the saying "Si vis pacem para bellum"
If anybody wonders what this means it say if you want peace prepare for war
Anyone notice spawn in the invincible war conferming this comic has a heaven and a hell
If Cecil did that then he'd have a lot more STRONGER viltrumites
i mean Cecil does at the very least keep conquest alive in secret but that ends up backfiring horribly anyway
Thank you for making these videos !
Moment when you realise Cecil is doing what darkwing was supposed to do
Cecil is definitely an amazing character he has every play in the book
Damn he choose to keep the scar to remind himself of the people he got killed. What a character
Thank God! I've been asking for this one!!
Hes the true hero of this story, nop not even Mark, not anyone but Cecil
I find it really interesting how the show decided to wait until episode 8 for the fight and had all these missions before that versus the comic that had the fight then the missions
I’m so sad Cecil dies man…it’s gonna feel like L dying if they follow this storyline in the animated show
L dying was such a mistake
@@horrificpleasantry9474 word then they brought these two random guys like wtf
I really love these videos it's so cool getting to hear the backstory of all these people
Well done my friend well done
If Cecil made into live-action he must be played by Hugo Weaving
This. Hugo Weaving's voice and his calm demeanour will be unique as Cecil.
Clint Eastwood
