@@MsKeroseneLamp why do you think she was so powerful? They come from a prestigious lineage of wizards, how could she let's her child stay with an American tourist?
Monster Girl could be immortal if she wanted. Once she gets too old she can just take the belt off and transform until she's at the physical age she wants. It doesn't look like the comic really covered this possibility though.
It did in the since that’s she’s still alive in the future helping Marks son. Mark would live to be about a 1000 so the fact she’s still alive kind of proves that
So let me get this straight, she had a lesbian affair with an alien, in which she turned into her monster form during sex and impregnated? Man these comics are wild.

I know Robot took on the name Rex to honour his death but that's kinda messed up, especially since he uses him for cloning. He basically just stole his identity, and since he became while identifying as Rex, that's just gave Rex a bad name.
Robot seriously did not deserve that two-fold betrayal in the Flaxon's dimension. I know he went off the rails after that, but I think the two knives in his back did a lot to steer him in that direction.

@@Anon-xh3tu I feel like that was only done to give the comic one last “hurrah”, and a semi climatic end. Because it doesn’t make any sense to me, all robot would have to do is stay in good graces with Mark and he would be fine.
Yes that's very cruel and I can't get how some people can be portayed as heroic for doing such cruel act and that desitions is celebrated (I have to scream but I have no mouth) while he is portayed as irredemable for less crueler actions. At the end he wanted a world in peace and be loved not really a cruel goal. He was sickly pragmátic about it because he was neurodivergent and did a lot of questionable stuff but that punishment was far to cruel and Nothing to be celebrated.
Knowing that Monster Girl's monster form is fully erm...functional, she's basically a walking Maury episode isn't she? Imagine having a paternity test on your affair and being both the mother and father
I just /love/ how Amanda repeatedly undermines and betrays robot during their relationship, but because he’s “evil” she gets to have a happy ending while Rudy lost everything.
Agreed, she is ultimately he reason he turned cold. That he ended up that way, then she triumphantly tells him off at the end of the series like. At that point, I hated her so much. She has no right being the “hero” of the situation and I hope that Kirkman changes that storyline in he show. To at least allude to the fact that he IS that way BECAUSE she betrayed him. Super juvenile writing back then.
Watching that summary of the Flaaxan dimension a second time, I now realize that storyline was a great way of aging Robot and Monster Girl up to the same age as the rest of the Guardians!
So does de-aging have the potential for immortality? If she transforms too much without the belt will she turn into a fetus? Can she become a talking baby with the mind of an adult and a monster that's like 20 feet tall? This is one of the most interesting super powers I have ever heard of.
No she will just turn into a fetus with the memories well I don't even think fetuses have brains and will probably just die since it has nowhere to be in
I have to ask: Did the grandma who cursed her know about the de-aging side effect? If so than that's an extra level of spite, but if not than that's some pretty shoddy spell-work.
@@smileguyanimations8776 yeah if there’s no de-aging she just has a kickass super power that she has full control over and can’t possibly affect her life in any way if she chooses not to use it. Also she can become a man at will now 🥴, gotta be a drawback for such legendary abilities.
I believe the curse wasn’t meant to be controlled. It was random at first and uncontrollable so I believe she was supposed to slowly see herself de age to nothingness.
That's not spite - that's the biggest blessing in the entire universe. Never die from old age, always be able to exist in your physical prime when you are at your smartest, strongest, fastest, and most attractive. Never get grey hairs, never get kidney failure, etc. There are entire pieces of media written about people/groups searching for "the fountain of youth" as the ultimate reward and desired outcome! It's the opposite of a curse in every way!
I got so annoyed when she was willing to take down Robot because he was crazy for control, but refused to do the same to the flaxxans, when they were clearly much, much, much worse, and had a huge hand on turning Robot to evil
Monster girl is basically what you get when your writer is inspired by the classic "Way older than she looks so technically not a loli, but everyone knows she's a loli" anime trope. Edit: 2.9K hot damn this blew up. Y'all are a bunch a lolicons lol
@@biggshoverwelder3690 The imagination of the human mind is an enigma Spilled milk But what really draws me to her tale was when she n robot was in the alien world for thousands of years. It's like an anime isekai trope. But she actually makes it back.
It really sucks that after 1,000 years of history she and Robot couldn’t make it work. But he was too damn focused on what he thought needed to be done. The Immortal was immortal and still found what was important in life. Robot was a benevolent dictator and turned his back on his friends.
Well, tbf, immortal never had to live with the knowledge that his basically wife slept with his imprisoner after she helped to overthrow him. For a person who dedicated the first decades of his life to finding a way to essentially free himself, that must be an impossible pill to swallow
@@cleanharry3770 then dedicating huge portions of his time to devising a way to eliminate the draw backs of her power. I don’t like her as a character as she’s extremely selfish, but I guess she just acts like most people.
I can’t say I’m liking the changes , I feel like it’s missing the point from the comic. With the way episode 1 progressed, I would have expected a showdown between Mark and Omni-Man by episode 4 but they decided to add some much filler.
Rudy honestly had it coming though. And so did Amanda for cheating... Rudy was probably driven mad for living that long (kinda like immortal was, but it took him way longer) and it doesn't help his case when he gets backstabbed twice.
I might be mistaken, but he said that Robot had a talk with Monster Girl about her conduct/interest toward/in Rex, but in the text of the comics, it mentions Bulletproof in that talk instead of Rex. Am I missing something?
@@adriankoh4859 I am not so sure about that. At 4:17 where Robot mentions her conduct during their downtimes, she looks quite young. Under that, Robot says "Due to your appearance, your actions have been extremely inappropriate." I do not believe he would have said that if her appearance was that of an older person.
If Monster Girl were to take off her belt every couple of years, maybe decades, would that make her immortal? Would doing that over time make her monster form stronger? The second question comes from how at the end of the comic her monster form is about the same despite Monster Girl's human form being older. So maybe her monster form's strength isn't from how young she is and more of how many times she de-ages.
So far they seem to be developing all of their characters well, I am being hopeful that they will do all characters justice and not just Invincible and Omni Man
Not only that but in theory the show will improve in several aspects of the comics, for example that Titan had a personal genuine motivation like his family instead of just manipulating Mark for his personal gain.
@@KeyIssues ah, understandable. Just can’t wait to see them is all. I’ve already reread the compendiums for the 5th time and I can’t wait to see them in the show
I can’t wait for Dianosaurus to appear in the show. He’s my favorite Invincible supervillain, an environmental terrorist whose human form turns into an anthropomorphic dinosaur whenever he gets bored and apathetic. I’m not kidding, that’s how he transforms, which is why his prison cell is full of entertainment to prevent him from transforming. He’s basically a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type.
I love Monster Girl! Such a great character,. I love how her ability's side effect, which under other circumstances would be beneficial, is really detrimental when used too much! If used correctly, she could live on indeffinetly, but her chosen path forces her to use it alot more then what would be considered good for her.
If you think about it, Amanda is kind of immortal, while yes she can be killed, if she takes off the belt she'll de-age to a point and then she can put it back on to stop the affect.

Wow, seeing this video and the panels covering Monster Girl's origin made me realize that I had come across this series about 9 years ago when I was just a kid. I can't remember where I saw it but it was probably a random comic book I was looking at in the library. At the time, seeing all these adult topics and graphic imagery (like gore) honestly just made me nauseous, and the designs weren't that appealing to me. It's weird that I'm revisiting this series after so long without even realizing it.
Monster girl is technically immortal since she can de-age, I have yet to read more of the comic but in the show she is pretty funny. I like her character over Rex and Robot.
Robot is such a fleshed out awesome character. Super well built up too, i'ts funny to see how even since practically the beginning he was a master manipulator
These videos are amazing! I can’t get enough of the Invincible universe. They seem to be changing a lot which makes me wonder where they are going to take the series!
Behind the one with the yellow cape... Near identical clone of his dad, Omniman/Nolan Greyson. The one on the bottom left is also terrifying cause you know that he's ready to breed and test his children if they are worthy of having Viltrum blood, and if they are not, he'll kill them and then enslave the planet he infiltrated.
@@ProjektTaku Yeah, it's always interesting to see side comics where the main hero becomes evil. The Barman who laughs comes to mind. It'd be interesting to see a comic where Mark becomes Omniboy.
I was wondering for a while how monster girl got an alien girl pregnant, well I didn’t know her monster form was male which is how the alien boy was conceived
Monster Girl should definitely take a moment and think about how her actions and decisions ended up leading to Robot’s takeover of the Earth and the murder of several heroes. The Zaxals and Heroes blood is on her hands too!!
Imma copy paste my comment here: Hmm I don’t know bro, I would say she was with the guy for MANY years, then he started to ignore her (even all her advice) so she starts to hang out with the only aliens that speak her language (remember she did NOT know their language for centuries so the only one she had was Robot and he was already pushing her away) she sees that maybe Robot’s way ain’t right since he basically made concentration camps for the zaxals (who she bonded with since they were the only ones that spoke her language besides Robot) so she tells him to make their life better and he just ignores her and eventually lets power get to his head and starts yelling at her for wanting to do what’s right. So he keeps getting worse with the power so they defeat him AND don’t kill anyone in the process. So yeah many years pass and again she’s alone with the zaxals so she does something terrible which is cheating because she didn’t have anyone else, then zaxals start going back to old ways so she breaks Robot out of jail and apologizes for her actions, later reveals to him that she cheated because again she was alone for decades with them, she asks for forgiveness and nothing she asks to be hated and nothing he just ignores her because he’s probably disappointed in her so their relationship is gone down the drain and now he finally decides to return to their dimension because nothing went as he wanted. Just before they return he gets the message that they found MG’s lover and is about to have her child, let’s remember MG wanted to have children with Robot so if she knew she had one bastard son she would have stayed in that dimension to take care of him,so what does Robot do? Don’t tell her, order for genocide of zaxals and specifically to execute MG’s son not because it’s logical but out of spite. One could say she did again wrong on talking with the guys from their group who she herself barely remember anymore and did she did anything with them? Nope but was it wrong that she allowed them to flirt with her? Hell yes! But at this point her relationship was broken with Robot and only they return together when the Flaxons come to invade why? Because Robot ordered to genocide them and specially eliminate MG’s lover and son. Then when Robot supposedly forgave her for her actions the moment she went against him slaughtering the heroes what did he do? Threw her into space to die. I think both messed up pretty badly, don’t get me wrong I really like Robot but we cannot put all the blame of his actions on MG. Hell he was unhappy that he was not in charge anymore which lead him into taking control again by force. Robot is a very complicated individual but again let’s not put all the blame in one of the two.

@@Andreasuprema Dude, you are copy and paste that comment everywere. And then when he forgive that, cheat him. Cheating is bad but cheating someone who has you as the only moral chain and human contact, AFTER he forgive you past TREASON (who lasted years) is a other level of low, who can affect the sanity of some people. @@wiseguy01 Eh, what he has going on now is worse than death, and I don’t know how much of his shattered sanity can really be placed on him but that’s a can of worms that I don’t want to get into.
In my opinion Amanda is a bad person. Her entire character is themed after maturity which she never overcomes right up until the end. Her power came about as a result of her immature teenage actions that were dictated by her hormones and lack of responsibility mirroring her entire ark going forward. Choosing to mess around with a kid and ignoring potential dangers caused her to be cursed. But what she never realized is the curse was meant to teach her a lesson of growing up and stop being selfish which she never does. Her powers are a representation of her character. The more younger and childish she is the larger and powerful her Monster form is correlating to her entire story The witch cursed her for being irresponsible and childish. But when we first meet her she says she’s an adult in child’s body but she acts the same as her age. Choosing to lash out at her teammates, was so self absorbed by her own problems that she rebuked Rudy attempts to empathize and demeaned him, then demanded he fix her when he tried to ingratiate himself with her, and finally complained and through a tantrum when he’s taking to long. I was seeing all kinds of red flags with the star of their relationship on both ends of I’m honest but more so on her end as she was just as manipulative with someone showing interest in her that’s wasn’t as socially competed as she was. His awkwardness was attributed to his lack of human contact She has no excuse. Then in the flaxxan world she as stated above didn’t really learn much of the flaxxan society beyond base concepts and fell back on her superhero limit view of “helping” whoever is currently being mistreated. Rudy freed enslaved races that weren’t integrated into society and couldn’t contribute to better the flaxxans outside menial labor they refused do themselves which resulted in a stagnated civilization that depended on raiding others to exist. It wasn’t just bad for its own sake or for ‘hurting others’ it’s was a practice systemically broken system that perpetuated facist tyrannies. Rudy changed them for the better by making them freer and more independent economically. There were growing pains which fell on the old rulers zaxels but that was a result of their own way of life that wasn’t productive to the greater society and it was stated that more and more flaxxans where coming over to his side. But before that Amanda being estranged from Rudy due to very reasonable issues like him not paying enough attention to her instead of learning about an entire civilization’s economics to Improve billions of lives and disagreements she has of Rudy decisions that stemmed from her not knowing enough about flaxxan society caused her to turn to the zaxels who then tricked her into siding with their blight as her superhero nature couldn’t give her enough context to see that the zaxels wanted a return to the old imperialistic ways and then betrayed Rudy 2 folds before in allegiance and emotionally in an affair and resenting Rudy for not getting her pregnant(which is extremely shallow) with the very people that imprisoned him just for saving the flaxxans from their prior tyranny. Then when she realized her mistake immediately did a 180 and put things back right. The lesson here being that she let her short sighted view as a “hero” cloud her judgment in trusting the zaxels b/c she couldn’t she past their immediate blight as a product of their own making. Then I don’t really think enough people bring this up but SHE IS A TERRIBLE GIRLFRIEND. Including the above after she cheats due to being “lonely” (which is a terrible excuse cheaters use) she then holds its against Rudy for not forgiving her and in her own words “You through everything away just bc you couldn’t forgive my One mistake and I’ll never forget that”. I’m sorry but the level of selfishness on display there is infuriating. As someone who has experienced this and recovered from infidelity I can say that Amanda displayed all the signs of an abusive selfish shallow person that isn’t sorry for what they did, takes no responsibility for it or betters works to better themselves. She the kind of person that dismisses all the pain and life long emotional trauma a cheater causes to their partner and even blames their cheating on them. All cheating comes down to selfishness and she is almost a case study on it. Rudy did all the things someone should never do with a cheating partner. He forgave to soon and too easily without her putting in more of the work to earn his forgiveness back and thus is meant nothing to her and she resented him for it. That’s why she was mad at him for holding it against her. She was so selfish and immature that she couldn’t understand the deep trauma that she caused him, trauma that is life long as any survivor of infidelity will tell you. But she took it as an offense that he wouldn’t give forgive “one” little mistake yes very mature for grown woman. But then he forgives her and puts all the blame on himself once again showing a lot of maturity in seeing any mistakes he thinks he didn’t while never taking her to tasks for her shortcoming that lead to her going stray. But the final insult that made me give up on her character is how she would go on to refuse to forgive Rudy for his “one” mistake and betrayal/imprisonment. After all he maturity and humbleness he shown by never even getting angry at her and quickly putting blame on himself she has the nerve to not just refuse to do the same but act superior and talk down to him multiple time from a place a extreme anger. The sheer hypocrisy that is her character is staggering to me. In the end she doesn’t even a moment of clarity in realizing her mistakes and humble her to someone who did to her what she once did to him and completely dismisses Rudy who was just looking for some kind of closure for the both of them. In short Amanda from her first scene to her last is that of a immature child outside and in that never learns from her mistakes, takes responsibility for her bad actions, or emotionally grows up. And I do hold her and her actions to Rudy a primary factor in his eventually downfall. Her toxic behavior hardened him as most emotional trauma does a person and made him more radical and easily antagonistic. I am sorry for his fate and hope the animated series will correct a lot of these wrongs.
Damn bro. Thanks for the explanation. I had a feeling that monster girl was not the victim everyone was making her out to be. It is funny tho how people are very eager to turn a blind eye or come up with justifications for the cheater for the sole reason that the victim is a male. Also the fact that the flaxxans were not a race abused by robot yet people are very eager to portray them as such is very telling. They learned nothing and still went on to invade earth even after everything robot did to help their society prosper is sadly a cold reality. Some groups can not be reasoned with or left on their own because they will willingly make the wrong choices that are not only detrimental to them but others.
In the best part about that belt is now she's basically Immortal, when she's 80 all she has to do is take off the belt and transform into a monster form a couple of times and she's a child again and then she puts the belt back on.
I gotta say thanks too dude. Shows don't always last and over time I feel everytime I hit a comic store at almost 40 it's at least a hundred bucks hit. Not that I won't support the franchise but I'm not made of money.
She has some crazy potential.... In the other dimension, the one where she's a baby, her monster form is as big as a Kaiju so.... If she gets too old she can just take the belt off , get younger (with the monster form becoming also bigger and stronger) and put the belt back on so that she can age again without loosing the stronger monster form since the belt works only on her human form.
She’d still lose the “stronger monster” because her monster size is directly correlated to her human size. The smaller she is human, the bigger she is monster. She can’t have the best of both worlds, unfortunately.
Thanks Nick, all this work you do is very much appreciated. I like this series on Prime however is is just so overloaded with villains and aliens and chaotic fighting that I wonder why they even have the world as a semi normal world at all. It seems to me that there would be no way to have any form of a functioning society with so much constant attacks & destruction, etc.... lol. Oh well, gotta just enjoy it for what it is. Crazy
When seeing Invincible, I got a certain vibe from Monster Girl that I couldn't quite put into words. Then it hit me: she is basically the combination of Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Bruce Banner / The Hulk from Marvel.
I actually rlly love this series cause it’s a rlly interesting comic and thank you for all this and i love the invincible storyline and even tho it ends would love to see more
It kind of reminds me of the 1980s thing cartoon on TV. Where Ben Grimm uses a ring to turn himself back into the thing. But in order to be Ben Grimm again oh, he is turned into a teenager
I reaaaaaally cannot believe that NO ONE finds strange that this man manipulates a lot of people to be together with this woman, steals someone DNA, makes a copy of his body because she have a crush on him, takes the name of the one he copy, al of this literally to make this girl fall in love with him, latter he becomes a dictator, twice, tries to make a genocide of one of those people. "Hmmmm, seems like a NICE GUY".
Its interesting how monster girl's whole act was "Love is the destroyer of life".... Cause the reason she WAS a monster girl was due to a curse cause she loved someone, lost her kid cause robot and that didnt last, lost robot too..... Its a LOT of loss for her........ I feel bad
I have a couple of character requests. Mauler Twins, Titan, and Wolf-Man. I know the last one isn't a Invincible exclusive character, but he exists in the same universe and they crossed over.
Let's hope they modify the scene while staying true to the source. Take for example: Rex's brain is imprisoned but Amanda, Monax, and Mark are the only ones allowed to visit him. From there Amanda and Rex will have a conversation leading to a closure ending for the two.
@@farrelat Yes I think was far to cruel of her. She loved him once and they made a lot of damage to each other but that was kicking someone who has alredy fallen.

Agreed, she is ultimately he reason he turned cold. That he ended up that way, then she triumphantly tells him off at the end of the series like. At that point, I hated her so much.

I think both of her betrayals on Robot is the reason why he went kinda crazy
Imma copy paste my comment here:
Hmm I don’t know bro, I would say she was with the guy for MANY years, then he started to ignore her (even all her advice) so she starts to hang out with the only aliens that speak her language (remember she did NOT know their language for centuries so the only one she had was Robot and he was already pushing her away) she sees that maybe Robot’s way ain’t right since he basically made concentration camps for the zaxals (who she bonded with since they were the only ones that spoke her language besides Robot) so she tells him to make their life better and he just ignores her and eventually lets power get to his head and starts yelling at her for wanting to do what’s right.

In the middle of the vid I just started rocking to the beat great background music
What a blessing to have someone like key issues in our lives God Bless you for your content
Literally! So weird
Yo they got spawn, witchBlade and Darkness! That’s awesome
Well its the image Universe. That book is issue #60.
@@J_Lee712 why was spawn there?
@@donkeykong4983 the answer is right there.
@@J_Lee712 like was it a crossover event? Was he in the comic with the other heroes?
Damn, can you imagine being with someone for over a THOUSAND YEARS before splitting apart in such a horrible way? Comics are rough 😳
Rightt!! That’s such a long time to just throw away in the end 😫
Another great review of a great invincible character.
Thanks!
@@KeyIssues your welcome !
Man you’ve got to cover Cecil in one of your videos he was awesome in ep 7 with his contingencies etc.
Man, the artist (and colorist) for the Robot/Monster-Girl pages are amazing !!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy these videos! I haven't had the chance to pick up the comics yet, but I enjoy watching these. Also, the narration is great too!
nice video. Would love to see one about allen the alien.
This new process will make you younger everyone time you use it! No fake, no scam!
Man this story is so cool like wow I'm happy I've found Invincible I think it's way better then DC and stuff
I cannot believe how few people I see asking for an Allen video, man is literally the goat of the series
Fr
Love these uploads
I wished the series will make the relationship between her and robot better, its kinda sad seeing what happend to them in the comics
Yeah it’s sucks that happens, but that’s robots story, and I don’t want that to change because I think he has a lot of great depth.
@@KeyIssues here's hoping they make it better
Let's hope they modify the scene while staying true to the source. Take for example: Rex's brain is imprisoned but Amanda, Monax, and Mark are the only ones allowed to visit him. From there Amanda and Rex will have a conversation leading to a closure ending for the two.
@@primecoconut4204 honest to god i hope that happens cause the ending with monster girl saying robot deserved what he got hurts so much
@@farrelat Yes I think was far to cruel of her. She loved him once and they made a lot of damage to each other but that was kicking someone who has alredy fallen.
So robot who was supposed to be a leader of the guardians of earth.
Started a universal war..
Awesome story
Okay, i admit it. She has one of the most insane, funny and interestings Origin plus whole Stroy in total of all Comics ever.
What i kinda recognized here is, that she, Invincible and Eve basicly live forever if i understood that correct and even Robot does. Are there more of their Team that live forever?
She ages normally in her own dimension, it’s just that she doesn’t age quickly when she lives in the flaxan dimension. There is only a few years between the end of the series and when we see monster girl for the last time
@@KeyIssues Thank you for you reply. But i am confused about your Answer. What i wanted to know is, that she basicly lives forever, because she can deage everytime and stay always young and in her Prime right? And others also kind of live forever.
Again, some of the Team basicly reached some sort of immortality. I wanted to know, if that counts for the whole Team?
This show just gets better with unthinkable concepts
This was pretty good, and intriguing and interesting. I get bored quickly bad,but this! I watched it all and actually learned something. Thank you.
