THANKS!!! I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to click for the "Yes to All" for the 'AddCR-X' due to no english being available... you're a life saver! I couldn't find what to do anywhere else! Much appreciated.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hi, thanks for the video. I just installed Cura today and it helps me to fix 3.6 configuration. Now, i have to test the boat after the test file delivered on SD:-P
Btw, 2 Q from newbie :
+ Do you switch off fans as your CR-X seems to be very quiet during your spokes ?
+ Is it necessary to add the drain tower already included in default gcode file ?
Hi Richard, Thanks for another great session. I've just picked up a CR-X Pro & I'm having an issue getting the start gcode in cura to run correctly. When the print starts & the purge lines run, only one extruder purges & the filament doesn't retract, so the filaments collide in the extruder & jam. What's your start up gcode look like in Cura?
where can I get the cura file? My SD card only had the benchy on it
at which point in this video do you demo the filament setup?
does Cura add the purge block?
there is a file above the addCR_X and it called reference data in which some values are different ... so Creality are sending 2 different settings for the same program and same printer ...
I've watched every video on this machine, I've followed to the last detail only to get the left extruder printing and not the right... What am I doing wrong? I've tried cura and simplify3d
Any idea how to choose the option to chain colors mid way through the print by layer
Great video. I hope you virus checked the SD Card contents before you installed the drivers especially all the stuff in Chinese.
DO YOU HAVE A GUIDE ON SETTING UP CR X ON CURA 4.6.1
I've tried doing this on the creality software, but the filament doesn't swap properly between the two, any idea on how I get that to work?
In the printer settings in cura 3.4.1 what is the gcode that you use? Is it Marlin ? And what Start gcode and End gcode line do you use? The default one?
In my settings I use Marlin but I input the lines suggested by creality in the Start and end lines. Although I had an issue only in the first color change. It seems that in the gcode was missing a line to load the second color 100mm after unloading the first color. That almost messed up the print. But all the other changes were good and correct. Not sure if this is a bug in cura or in my mixing of codes in the settings.
I just grabbed the G-code from the older version and pasted it into the appropriate spots
The First Layer I tried copying from the old cura but it has listed 2 start and end codes, and a pre and post nozzle change script, where did you put everything ?
Could you post your gcode? There are several of us that are not figuring "the appropriate spots", causing issues with the first color change. Or maybe make another video with more detail on a working cura 3.4.1 setup for the CR-X

Since Cura doesn't seem to show the purge block, how do you make sure that your model + purge block will actually fit on the bed?
That is a great question, let me look into it for you and get an answer.
Cura does show the block, but I think you need to be in layer view mode
Can you upload the CRX.sfx file ? my driver sdcard is fkd up.
I've lost all my information on my sd card how can I get all the information to put back on thank you in advance
Big problem. Cura 3.6.0 will not actually purge extruder 2. it flies over to the purge block but does nothing and then returns and prints whatever is leftover from extruder 1. Done everything i can to correct this but it is one big no go. very frustrating after setting all the cura 3 settings by hand. I think i will have to go back to 15.04. Anyone solutions guys?...thanks
Ive accidentally reformat my sdcard, where can i find the machine file settings for the crx??.. or the full sd card files?
if you hadn't found the files yet, I can email them to you.
@Jamie Smith I am actually currently using Cura 4.0. Look up the CR-X Facebook group. The profile is posted there as well as a lot of helpful and experienced people.

@@abramghobrial776 can i get the files also.
@@aziziarif1889 I am no longer using the files on the SD card, and would suggest that you join the Facebook group. There are a lot more helpful files that you can use for your printer.
Creality and Wanhao are so stupid using a OLD Cura Version when everyone uses the newest Version from Cura
