    I blew the cone in my old monitors as soon as the bass came in! I tried the same beat in these Mackie CR8-XBT 8, safe to say ⚡lightning is not going to strike twice! These Mackie CR8-XBT 8 are the isht love them! Glad I didn't jump on the band wagon and get some brb's! I went with a brand I remember seeing in the studio as a child! Bigup to Mackie!

    Placement and sound absortion panels of some sort atleast are CRUCIAL in a Home Studio set-up.....so many overlook BASIC tips / tricks and then wonder why their mixes sound a lil "Off-ish" later on in Different listening situations. Listen to your mixes in AS MANY PLACES AS POSSIBLE and try rearranging items based on what you heard/learned is Mixing 101 ....It will ONLY MAKE YA BETTER at mixing in the long run.....Hell, Just put a "Running Man" EVERYWHERE,Be Smart w/ decisions, and that'll be a GREAT START!!!! best of Luck in ALL your recording/Mixing endeavors everyone!!!! Great work MACKIE TEAM-Frm Top To Bottom!!!!!! Alot of other companies got some catching up to do to compete with MACKIE!!!!!! Ya'll have done your homework,paid attention to research and consumer wants/needs ....AND IT IS SHOWING HUGELY GUYS!!!!! Keep us Rockin Mackie....From a MAKAROID !!!!! LMAO...(Love that nickname too lol)

  • @LightningSticks
    @LightningSticks 4 роки тому +9

    Hi, I also bought these speakers recently (cr5-xbt) and I'm happy with the general quality. But I found a small flaw. The active monitor has slightly more volume than the passive one. Does this happen to you too? It's normal?

    • @sergeysmelnik
      @sergeysmelnik 4 роки тому +4

      Yes this is normal even with some expensive monitors. Balance is extremely important and I just use a cheap db meter with pink noise then adjust the balance through software unless the monitors have variable gain control.

  • @weslimp
    @weslimp 3 роки тому +3

    My Mackies are connected to my computer through the jack connection, and whenever i want to connect my sound card aswell with the double cinch feature, it makes interference noises and reduces the overall volume.
    Is this normal or is it my double cinch cable that needs to be changed?
    Or am I not supposed to connect 2 devices together on the Mackies?

    Mackie brand is not worth it. Sure it's a little less expensive but most folks end up just having to replace Mackie monitors in a year or two. And if you're out of warranty their customer service will simply suggest you buy new ones. Worth spending a bit more to get quality that will last.
