Perfect! Simple, straight to the point and without all the nonsense of my name is whatever and today we're gonna do this and telling a big story about life and lobsters and where you got them from and blah blah blah, just straight forward non life waisting time information for what people are looking for! Thank You so Much!!
When I was moved up from busboy to head cook in a nice restaurant some 45 years ago, this is the same method we used to cook lobster tail except I never knew about removing the vein & coating it with melted butter. Been cooking ever since, great video! Of course cooking times change depending on the oven, distance from the broiler, etc. but this brings back memories, thanks!
Thank u for this video!!! It simplified preparing the tails for someone like me who rarely cooks but will be impressing my husband tonight with this dish :)
Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for less chat and Straight to the point keep it simple👍everyone else seems to be talking about their life the lobsters life, a day in the life of the lobster blah blah blah blah
Thanks for this! Simple and to the point. I've done it before, but it's been a while and needed a refresher. Cooking a surf and turf valentine's dinner for my wife and I tomorrow.
I had planned to make a surf and turf for my father for his birthday but I didn't know how to get the lobster like that. Your video was very clear and helpful and I am very grateful.
Hi, I made it for him on Friday and he loved it. I did make the mistake of putting the lobster tails in water a bit too long. But it was still good! Paired with fresh Filet Mignon, it was a really good dinner.
what?! that easy? I have this lobster tail I bought when I was in Seattle and its been sitting there in the freezer waiting to be eaten. THIS LOOKS SO SIMPLE! thanks
Thank you!! I skipped a huge video for this one and glad I did. Precise and to the point. Now I need to thaw my tail for tomorrow :) first time cooking and eating lobster, wish me luck!
It went pretty well! Tastes like a sweeter version of shrimp. Mi,e didn't have the vein, but it did have these larger darker pieces that were crescent shaped, not sure what they were LOL. It was a spiny back lobster type, with yellow dots.
Great Video I been doing this all wrong!!!! For thirty years 😥 .... Finally got it BROILER on high, split the shell prop the tail on the shell ...7-8 minute s depend on size ....PERFECT... Thank You
This looks fantastic, but I wonder about something: when this is put in to broil at 1:44, the door is closed. One should not fully close the door when broiling, but leave it open at that slightly open position available on the door. Just standard broiling procedure...
mikethetuner Sure mike...if you get your cooking skills from the owners manual (they all say that) There are times when it's perfectly acceptable to broil with door closed. You want the heat and you are doing it for a short time, so it's totally ok. Michellian star chefs use this method. Seafood cooks very rapidly. If a larger portion or food which would take longer, than you would close the door
Wow...looks super easy. I purchased four tails and they have been sitting for a bit because I was intimated by how to cook them. But Im thawing right now and giving it a try
Thanks so much! I always tried to mimic this with failure lol. I would just rip all the meat out. Now, with your awesome video, I know how the pros do it. Can wait to do this for my wife. Valentine's day is just around the corner! Thanks again so much!!
Pablo Hernandez TL/DR This method is perfectly acceptable. Dont listen to that moron about door open. There are scenarios where the door should be open and/or closed during brioling. In this case you want that heat, and you are doing it for a short time, so it's perfectly acceptable. Seafood cooks fast so I would check it at 3 min. Now when would you leave open? A pizza of course. I only wanted to melt the cheese, but the rest of my pizza was already baked , so I only needed to melt the cheese. I switched it from bake to broil, and melted the cheese with the door open. Otherwise, I would have over cooked the crust. So I would have had perfectly golden melted cheese on a charcoal black crust. So there are different ways to broil. Hoped that was helpful and good luck. I'll let you know how it turns out. Another tip? If cooking chicken, NEVER cook it from cold. Always cook raw chicken when it's room temperature. Never go from fridge to grill. Cooking chicken from room temp will leave you with a juicier chicken!
I like to brush on the meat before I cook them, a little coconut oil, butter and then sprinkle a little paprika and ground pepper. Then for the butter sauce to dip the lobster in I like to use, unsalted butter with a little fresh minced garlic and heat until it comes to a light boil and then take it off the heat. After dipping a piece in the butter sauce and you feel it needs more salt, just add to taste. "I can't stand a lobster or butter sauce that is overwhelmed with to much salt flavor". P.S. I like to use either Kosher or Sea salt for cooking and Himalayan salt for sprinkling on the dish. God Bless
Looks simple yet delicious. Thanks for video you made it very clear on how to cook. One question though? My oven only goes to 500 degrees. You could slightly higher degree would another minute of cook time be appropriate for the mild temperature difference?
Turned out PERFECT. Great recipe, nice and simple -and probably not what restaurants want you to know because it was same level in every way. I made 4, two of them like this and two like this but with a packet of seasoning called Sazon. Both perfection in every way. Thanks!
THX! I just did your QUICK Easy Recepea on a MUCH Bigger Lobster Tail and it was Scrumptious! Paprika makes foods look Perty / Pretty and the lobster looked good enough to be on T.V LOL! Anyways Yea! I'm stuffed now and could use a Nap? However off to play golfx Thx once again for the Simplicity !

Why did you have to go and make a perfectly simple video complicated
Exactly
Some newer model ovens has a door alarm telling you to shut it.
Also, older ovens... yes. this may be necessary, but newer ovens typically have a vent on the top so you can shut the door while using broil.
broiling the meat ON TOP of the shell.... that's just brutal!!!
LOVE IT!!!! 😈😈😈
My 4-5oz lobster tails took about 10 minutes to broil on high. They come out better that way.
