Thanks for the video! I find that opening them is easier if you hold the lobster tail between your palms as if praying, then use your palms to squeeze the bottom of the tail until you feel a pop and the top opens up. It also helps separate the meat from the membrane, so you accomplish two steps at once.

Terrific simple recipe. Being a very novice person around the kitchen I made a serious mistake with this recipe. Without my MAJOR mistake this would have been a fabulous dinner. Believe or not I enjoyed it anyway, but next time will be perfection and even better tasting. When the recipe called for 2 cloves of garlic (crushed), I thought a clove of garlic was the whole bulb. It wasn't until after that I decided to get clarification. Of course it turns out that a Clove is made of many individual lobes. Get the picture? I used 2 full cloves. Can't wait to make this wonderful recipe next time. I'll learn.

Hmm, I've made this dozens of times and it has worked every time with various sizes of lobster tail. Some troubleshooting tips in case this helps: Was the lobster 4-6 inches from the broiler? Was the broiler set to "high" (500 degrees F)? Was the lobster fresh or thawed (not frozen)? Doing any of these things differently can impact the end result. You can always use a meat thermometer to tell for sure.

  • @neikoelespinosa6416
