Something you didn't mention but is important is that Rajang's heart and nerves are somehow tied to its control/usage of its gold Thunder Element. Perhaps the heart and nerves act as conduits through which the electricity is channeled through its body to increase its range of abilities and strength. Also, there's something to consider about the fact that all base unpowered Rajang will suddenly become flush with energy upon consuming a Kirin's horn.
the heart is actually responsible for allowing rajang to enter its rampage state where in he flush more blood into its arms to make them harder and give rajang a massive boost in its physical strength, while its nerves on the other-hand contrary to the video is actually were rajang store's its electrical power going by what the item descriptions says "The source of a Rajang's power, which continues its mystic pulsing after death." which make sense given that you can knock rajang out of its rage mode by attacking/damaging its tail which is linked to its central nervous system
I think his theory still works. Rajang find and eat the kirin horn, which releases energy that is stored in the fur and sent throughout the body via the heart. It doesnt do this often to prevent overload, just enough to replenish stores when they get too low. The heart probably allows for a special kind of blood that can carry greater electrical impulses than most animals though.
@@007accessb4 In other words, a Rajang's nervous system is conductive enough to handle large amounts of electricity, without the whole "frying your brain" deal.

Hypothesis: Anjanath is the first elder dragon and divergence point between Brute Wyverns and Elder Dragons. Evidence: Most proper Elder Dragons (Teostra/Lunastra, Kushala Daora, Fatalis, Alatreon, Safijiiva, etc.) have 6 limbs. 4 legs, two wings. I hypothesize that the hidden membranes that Anjanath pops out when angry evolved into wings in later species that adapted to other environments. The prominence and shape of these growths suggest that over time they could have evolved into wings. As for the Brute Wyverns, Anjanath has features that suggest it is a less evolved Brute Wyvern. Anjanath is clearly modeled off of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, who was the last of the Tyrannosaurid line. As with most large predatory dinosaurs, the bigger they got, the smaller their arms became. This is true of Allosaurids, Giganotosaurs, and Tyrannosaurs. Also, the largest species of these families always evolved later. I would go so far as to say that Deviljhoi is a direct ancestor of Anjanath. The reason Anjanath hasn't evolved more is because it lacks a need to. Life does not necessarily evolve if there is no ecological pressure to do so. The Ancient Forest has relatively little ecological pressure, with bountiful food and a temperate climate, therefore meaning that Anjanath hasn't evolved outside of that region. Tell me what you think.
I dunno, I always figured Brute Wyverns were closer to Bird Wyverns (specifically raptorial ones) more than any others. Like, perhaps some raptorial Bird Wyverns split off and started growing much larger in size and more reptilian in nature. It's already really neat how raptorial Bird Wyverns actually evolved AFTER the bird-like ones.
@UC75HEnaAU9DBtAoTATCftpg I disagree. Anjanath's sails do not appear to be adapted ribs, as they lay above the rib connection point to the spine. Furthermore, there are large, limb-like structures at the front of the sails that provide the primary structure of the sails, and are in just the right location to eventually form wings. (I just checked reference photos to make sure., and they are especially visible in concept art.)
This is so damn sick. Relatively new to monster hunter and have been devouring content. This scientifically based approach may be the best thing I've seen. Please keep it up.

Rajang is probably one of the strongest monsters in game with agility of a 1000 kula ya ku and that electricity blast is devastating and his rage form makes it 10 times harder
Man this is a lot but now this made me think how I'm going to create my electrical gorilla creature even though it's a fantasy world I do want to apply some science to it
I feel like the horns and golden glowing stripes are more used for showing off to mates, the brighter the glow and larger the horns, the better show of it's strength, that's why the adults are the ones who hunt Kirin, the younger ones have no need for display, the electric powers being more of a positive side effect,my best geuss is that tje ancient ancestors of rajang hunted down a Kirin purely for food, but when one ate the horn,he eas enbowed with to them, god like powers,so the species started to partake in Kirin horns more frequently, making the equine elder dragon near extinct, thus leading to rajang becoming more rare

Furthermore, there are large, limb-like structures at the front of the sails that provide the primary structure of the sails, and are in just the right location to eventually form wings. (I just checked reference photos to make sure., and they are especially visible in concept art.)
It for his temperature
I was wondering how he was gonna explain the tail break mechanic. Legit impressed that he managed to do it in a way that made sense
Thanks for this videos, they are amazing!!! You deserve so much more attention
So good! Very underrated. Definitely deserves more views
This is so damn sick. Relatively new to monster hunter and have been devouring content. This scientifically based approach may be the best thing I've seen. Please keep it up.
He finally starts at 2:54.
I’ve learned more about monsters in your vids then I do from any other channel, I’ll pray you get too Glavenus at some point. Thanks for the vid.
This series is one of my favourites on UA-cam!!
This video: pops up in my recommended at 2 am
Me: *I don’t need sleep, I need answers*
Me: I don't need memes, I need original and thoughtful humor
The amount of details this videos give is insane, thanks for the content
I wonder what monster will be next.
I don't really mind what monster you do next, cause I enjoy the videos regardless of what you choose. Keep up the good work.👍👍👍👍
I love these videos, can’t wait to see more! Perhaps you could do Glavenus next? Watching you explain the biology of its tail would be very entertaining and fascinating!
I love your content! Have ever thought about doing a video like this but about the hunters?
Rajang ongulate traits reminds me of those of the extinct hellhog.
Normal Rajang = Saiyan
Enraged = Super Saiyan
Thunderous Wukong = Super Saiyan 2
The video is great! The best in the series! Get this man a Nobel prize in fantasy biology!
Edit:hold up! What about khezu? He can make his own electricity! Is he (and red and baleful) just anomalies, or is the thunder trade-off hypotheses wrong?
Rajang is probably one of the strongest monsters in game with agility of a 1000 kula ya ku and that electricity blast is devastating and his rage form makes it 10 times harder
Yesss more nature of Monster hunter I love this series
These are always so well made, 10/10 my guy. Love it!
I like how you can fight something that lifts an entire island and throws it at you
Nice, this continues!
ok rajang is a average Florida man i saw him in Kissimmee the other day
Always looking forward to these videos. So interesting seeing the monsters talked about like real living creatures
Ahhh yess I love this series!! Your videos are awesome dude, keep up the good work! ^^
Man this is a lot but now this made me think how I'm going to create my electrical gorilla creature even though it's a fantasy world I do want to apply some science to it
You're doing an amazing job, I love these mh documentaries
Maybe Anjanath next?
I *love* this video series, and I desperately hope you do a video on Vaal Hazak eventually
Oceaniz:"it is always engaged in some form of combat"
Rise's Rajang: Yeah... about that 😅
I think it'd be quite interesting to examine a really overpowered elder like safijiva or kulve
Is it just me or did this video step the series up to a whole nother level?
Remember when rajang was the size of darambarous and moved as fast as tigrex in a small arena good times
That’s it I’m going to college to study monster hunter anatomy
I feel like the horns and golden glowing stripes are more used for showing off to mates, the brighter the glow and larger the horns, the better show of it's strength, that's why the adults are the ones who hunt Kirin, the younger ones have no need for display, the electric powers being more of a positive side effect,my best geuss is that tje ancient ancestors of rajang hunted down a Kirin purely for food, but when one ate the horn,he eas enbowed with to them, god like powers,so the species started to partake in Kirin horns more frequently, making the equine elder dragon near extinct, thus leading to rajang becoming more rare
oooooooh boi
here Oceaniz come!
NAT Geo better watch out
