What about one seeing a Plesioth cross the desert in the middle of the night? Would be funny. As Unnatural History Channel put it, “Any explorer or hunter who sees one doing this may wonder what mushrooms they used to make their Mega Potions.” (There is precedent for what I’m talking about. Some Plesioth populations are stranded in water sources in the desert, and so are some Real-Life Crocodiles. Those crocodiles will travel across the desert between water sources during the night to breed with crocodiles at different water sources.)
You could treat it like how scientists are 99.9% sure that some birds in Australia intentionally start forest fires by carrying burning branches to get thier prey to scurry into the open due to numerous first hand accounts and stories going back centuries, but there hasn't been any difinitive photos or videos of them carrying the branches.
Or even better, a researcher questioning why we believe deviljho eats its own tail without solid evidence to back up, going insane in the process while realizing history is a lie.
The concept that there is a giant monster out there that simply seeing it and being near it can cause hunter's to quit hunting is really cool. Imagine, another Diablos bigger and stronger than Bloodbath, whose roar has the same power as a mountain crashing down
I’m surprised that with the enormous amounts of modders on World and Rise, I’ve never seen something like this crimson demon as a mod that does not exaggerate the monster with crazy attacks, but it’s just lore accurate, closest case would be MHResurgance Crimson and white Fatalis

Really makes You think how powerful and dangerous the creatures in monster hunter are. I remember hearing that canonically most hunters don't survive an encounter with a Great Baggi for example, only a few hunters are able to accept more difficult quests.
Imagine how few hunters make it to high rank and master rank. Granted I think they're just made up ranks for the sake of gameplay progression but still those few that can get to the level of taking on elders and master rank monsters must be 1/10 million prodigies
Yes! More tales of monster hunter!! There's so much potential to be had with tales like this. I realized this after your ecology videos! You've inspired me to write more and world build, so I'm so grateful to find your channel

I feel like the crimson Diablos seems to be like the light to bloodbath Diablos darkness both are incredibly strong Diablos individuals but they seem to behave in polar opposite way bloodbath Diablos is one of most violent monsters in general so aggressive it would attack a hunter on sight where as this one maybe being equally as strong as blood bath actually spared the hunter's life I can't help but Wonder what a clash from these two polar opposite beast would look like and who would come out on top.
this was insane, i expected an edgy story but it felt much more real than i thought it would, the little "plot twists" when the character was slowly realising what was happening were great this is phenomenal
His ability to tell such a compelling story is astonishing. I felt the fear the hunter did. The editing also helped get into the world. This was outstanding do make more stuff like this.
I love the lore for the MH series, and the way you tell these tales is way better than anything else I've found so far. Keep up the amazing work my good sir.
Maybe it could it be a Valsablos (Varusaburos) from Frontier? Since Mezeporta has acess to some locations of the Old World, i think one of them may have roamed around too far from its regular territory
More, more, more, more. That's all I can say about this. There is a severe lack of captivating and actually well worded Monster Hunter stories. I've said it once about your Black Dragons video and I will say it again; your skill in storywriting and presentation is fantastic! I love how you respect the source material but also bring in your own creativity. This felt like a tale the retired hunter would tell in a tavern in Loc Lac, while fledgeling hunters would crowd around him and listen in awe and fear. Your stuff is genuinely amazing and I desperately hope for more content in this direction!
I really love the storytelling here, I love Monster hunter's world and you did such a good job incorporating so many amazing little details of it into a neat and focused storyline. I also really love the reflection the hunter has after this encounter, the philosophy of individual hunter's and how they might change over time is always the most interesting parts of MH stories.
I typically really dont like this kind of Fanfic esque original content, but the story was great! Illustrations were really cool, and Monster hunter just works PEFECTLY for such small scale individual stories. I very much hope you will continue the series, because that was a banger

This was an incredible story that you've done with just a sketch and some footnotes. I could feel the hunter's terror and the sheer presence this crimson diablos exuded. Well done good sir!
You guys need to get in touch with either a modder or capcom and get them to make these things appear. I am both so excited, yet so humbled, at the thought of seeing a Crimson Diablos. This creature seems amazing. I want to know this more. We need these legends in the guilds great archive to be made into monsters. The crimson king, however, would be like frontiers red rajang. Extremely rare change if getting it on a hunt to replace a normal Diablos, and they give it to us as like an event quest for constant hunts. I wouldn't even need unique armour and weapons for this guy. Just the spectacle of fighting an ancient tyrant horned wyvern would be beautiful
The writing here is honestly better than the vast majority of shit that's been coming out of Hollywood for a long time now. You did a smashing job with the tone and execution of the narrative. Eagerly awaiting what comes next
I think that stories that have Riders in them would also be fantastic. I.e., a Hunter encountering a Rider and their companion, or legends of powerful Riders and their Monsties saving towns and doing other good deeds.
Suggestions: a perspective of a someone who was in Castle Schrade, a simple villager or defender, the night Fatalis burned down the Kingdom. A member of the Elder Dragon Observation committee who witnessed and recorded a Turf War between Rajang, Deviljho and Bazelgeuse (Furious, Savage or Seething maybe) or any other monster..
So basically the hunter was like: "OH MY GOD I JUST SHAT MYSELF I'M LITERALLY GONNA FUCKING DIE" And the Crimson Diablos was just like: "Oh my god dude I'm so sorry I poked you with my horn and killed you I literally didn't see you, so sorry man!"

This kind of content is what I LOVE about the destiny universe. Tales told by the perspective of another character in another part of the world, with its own way of seeing the universe of the game, that we as players cannot, and it fits perfectly with the MH universe too. Amazing video, really!
Name: Crimson Diablos Classification:Flying Wyvern Sub-Order: Horned Wyvern Species: Rare-Species Element: N/A Ailment: Bleeding Weakness: Ice Habitat: Deserts Bio: A rare crimson scaled species of diablos that rarely seen. Dub the Tyrant emperor of the sand, this behemoth doesn’t tolerate any rivals in its territory. Despite its aggression it seems to ignore creatures it sees as weak, only when provoked will this tyrant unleash its fury. Bonus info: * Crimson Diablos is more resistance to scream pods * Crimson Diablos’s roar can damage hunters ( just like a Tigrex)
Wonderful work here, Oceaniz. I really love the "recovered journal" style you have with this and the black dragon video. Great art too. I would love to see this series continue
This was a perfect video that effortlessly described the terror of facing against a creature far too strong for any sane person to face against. Brilliant visuals, incredible pacing, I didn't even realize it was a half hour, and in truth I couldn't be happier with that length. Simply magnificent.
In the games it wouldn't seem like it when the player protagonist (especially in MH Rise) is essentially a walking death god that demolishes monsters as effortlessly as they take out the trash.
If this was a real creature in the games it would be a myth like other monsters in the series but I Nobel one for it respects the dead and lives somewhere in the desert and only comes out when there’s a heavy sandstorm and I would love to fight it and give it the respect of a king
@@skypemee4040 This Crimson Diablos might be bigger… but aside from it’s initial murder of the smaller Diablos; it seemed to mean no harm, if a normal Diablos had noticed the hunter in the video; there’d be a stain when he once stood Bloodbath is relentless, psychopathic and driven only by it’s endless rage, this Crimson Diablos might be bigger… but Bloodbath would likely make the first and possibly only move, as it only takes one horn to the throat to end the Crimson Diablos’ life, regardless of it’s size
Yet another reason to have Diablos as my favorite monster~ Imagine a Deviant so large and so powerful.... The Guild classifies it as an Elder Dragon.....
DAAAAAAMN, that was some quality writing right there^^. The music and sound effects really helped immerse me in the story. Could've had a blank screen and I'd have been enthralled.
I! LOVED! THIS!!!!! We need more stories like this, of giant versions of the monsters ore even stories of small ones that group together like a blanket of death, anything to make this world of monsters more mysterious! PS you gave me a wonderful idea for a story I'm writing and some encounters my poor hunter/monsterologist will have on his adventures, so thanks so much for that!
Without a doubt one of the best channels I've came across lately, I don't know if it's just cause I'm an absolute monster hunter fan any case I'm amazed I've came across it
More. I request/ require more. I love how easily and seamlessly you slip into these stories. Each of your videos have different vibes to them but every single one of them transports me into the world of monster hunter, either as a young hunter listening about the legend of a specific monster or a hunter that wants to learn more about a biome and get a better understanding and gain admiration for the creatures that I battle on a daily basis. I love your videos and I want to see more of any type of video you make. There have been lore videos about monsters and stuff like that, but you feel like THE monster hunter lore guy. You have found your craft and I am excited to see more of your masterpieces
Man, You should definitely write a book or adapt this to film. Your art of telling and making stories exciting is incredible. I hope to see many more videos like this one Continue to make us dream
So this is a theory I have which is 100% in the pins and string territory but what if the red Diablos isn't really seen or observed because it sorta holds a godzilla like role in the desert ecosystem what I mean by that is it brings balance back into order, the story opens with a report of multiple things being attacked and destroyed right? What if the Crimson Diablos instinctually knows that if something like that happens more humans will show up and in turn possibly throw the natural ecosystem into a possible tail spin so it seeks out and eliminates the possible offender before retaliation by humans is possible. Again this is my own crazy needle and string theory but the fact that the crimson diablos didn't attack the hunter despite basically being in stricking distance and ending the fight before it started makes me think it understood what it saw and knows that killing the hunter could have cause more problems but instead it basically said "the problem is taken care of im leaving and so should you"
I wonder if you could do a Monster Hunter Online or Explore Lore video as there is little information about for them but hey if you can find something that would be awesome!
I would love to but both of them are basically entirely lost to time, since neither of them were preserved. Monster Hunter Frontier on the other hand... ;D
I know nothing about this game nothing. I love your channel none the less as the way you present the story is excellent. You make it feel like these animals and this world exists for real. Awesome job my friend. Incredible!!!
I wonder, if elder dragons are defined by the sheer ludicrous heights their biology reached, then would this diabos, or any other species hypercharging to such extent could qualify as an elder? Just like some of the gigantic snakes elders, the simple fact that this body doesn't collapse on itself would already be a wonder. If the serie ever explore this possibility, it could very bring fascinating options. Just like some rare monster before, but to a greater point, those would be world treats not because of several powers but just one, stupidly developed attribute, this drablos humongous size, a beast with blade sharp and study enough to instantly level a wide area, a monster with a scream sac so powerful it could obliterated anything on miles. Heck any of the aquatic species could undergo deep sea gigantism if they had variants in the most profound part of this world. If you ever read this, I would love to hear you ponder this possibility in future content
This was an incredible video! We seriously need more tales of monster hunter cause already you nailed it with the first video! It’s amazing to think a series with such a simplistic premise could be able to dish out with the right talent, incredible stories like this one. Though I’m guessing that hunter must’ve warned the guild about the crimson Diablos before quitting cause uh…a lot body bags are probably coming Loc Lac’s way then.
I'm loving this story! It's about time we have an actual Monster that's gone through a mutation that makes it *Unique* and this doesn't disappoint, I like this kind of content for sure so up to you if you want to make more.
i've started watching your videos about 2 weeks ago but this one... was a thriller! the way you narrated, the story, the conclusion... i LOVE it. guet gmacht :)

You are a goddamn legend and I need many more videos like this. Please keep up this fantastic work
This kind of content is what I LOVE about the destiny universe. Tales told by the perspective of another character in another part of the world, with its own way of seeing the universe of the game, that we as players cannot, and it fits perfectly with the MH universe too. Amazing video, really!
Oh my God dude, you are a fantastic writer, I was panicking for this guy and I was only listening! Keep doing what you are doing!
This...this is just awesome, no better words to describe it, keep this series up!
Name: Crimson Diablos
Classification:Flying Wyvern
Sub-Order: Horned Wyvern
Species: Rare-Species
Element: N/A
Ailment: Bleeding
Weakness: Ice
Habitat: Deserts
Bio: A rare crimson scaled species of diablos that rarely seen. Dub the Tyrant emperor of the sand, this behemoth doesn’t tolerate any rivals in its territory. Despite its aggression it seems to ignore creatures it sees as weak, only when provoked will this tyrant unleash its fury.
Bonus info:
* Crimson Diablos is more resistance to scream pods
* Crimson Diablos’s roar can damage hunters ( just like a Tigrex)
Whoa...
That was...
Powerful...
That really was amazing, I loved the video, and I'm sure I'll love the serie even more !
One day, many moons from now…
The Nakarkos story
This, was, incredible. From the art, to the story, the metaphors, just brilliant! I am VERY much looking forward to more!
I'm italian but every time u post a new video, I start the automatically generated subtitles and open a pack of popcorn. I'm glad of yout work
If this was a real creature in the games it would be a myth like other monsters in the series but I Nobel one for it respects the dead and lives somewhere in the desert and only comes out when there’s a heavy sandstorm and I would love to fight it and give it the respect of a king
Videos like this one are why I believe that the monster hunter community is unlike no other, this was truly amazing!
Some random hunter a day or 2 later: "Hey, free sword!!!"
The chills I had just from you narrating this is insane you're a really good narrator you should do more of these for sure
The crimson diablos feels like it has the same potential as the unknown ra ro rathian
Yeah, that's as good a reason to retire as ever.
Even an Edler Dragon would not instill the same fear in me as a TRIPLE SIZE DIABLOS
This thing vs Bloodbath would be amazing
I like your idea but bloodbath would easily die because this crimson diablos is too powerful I think maybe fatalis vs crimson diablos
@@skypemee4040nah bloodbath would definitely stand a chance against crimson....or is bloodbath based on crimson?
@@S0apy_mizu I'm not sure but remember whatever this crimson is it's seems a little bit more powerful than bloodbaths
@@skypemee4040 well their turf war would be pretty cool tbh
@@skypemee4040 This Crimson Diablos might be bigger… but aside from it’s initial murder of the smaller Diablos; it seemed to mean no harm, if a normal Diablos had noticed the hunter in the video; there’d be a stain when he once stood
Bloodbath is relentless, psychopathic and driven only by it’s endless rage, this Crimson Diablos might be bigger… but Bloodbath would likely make the first and possibly only move, as it only takes one horn to the throat to end the Crimson Diablos’ life, regardless of it’s size
Yet another reason to have Diablos as my favorite monster~ Imagine a Deviant so large and so powerful.... The Guild classifies it as an Elder Dragon.....
Out of everything, this is my favorite Monster Hunter content. These videos are so good!
This was absolutely amazing!
If this is gonna be a series, then I’m all for it!!
I NEED more of these, this story gave me genuine chills and I need more of it!
Man,
You should definitely write a book or adapt this to film. Your art of telling and making stories exciting is incredible.
I hope to see many more videos like this one
Continue to make us dream
So this is a theory I have which is 100% in the pins and string territory but what if the red Diablos isn't really seen or observed because it sorta holds a godzilla like role in the desert ecosystem what I mean by that is it brings balance back into order, the story opens with a report of multiple things being attacked and destroyed right? What if the Crimson Diablos instinctually knows that if something like that happens more humans will show up and in turn possibly throw the natural ecosystem into a possible tail spin so it seeks out and eliminates the possible offender before retaliation by humans is possible. Again this is my own crazy needle and string theory but the fact that the crimson diablos didn't attack the hunter despite basically being in stricking distance and ending the fight before it started makes me think it understood what it saw and knows that killing the hunter could have cause more problems but instead it basically said "the problem is taken care of im leaving and so should you"
Makes sense with its size it must have seen monsters being targeted after destroying human settlements so it learned DONT PISS OFF THE HUMANS
Man Diablos getting everything, when my boy Monoblos gonna get something nice?
Its so hard to cover him in these videos because he has exclusively appeared in games that are a nightmare to record in lmao
I wonder if you could do a Monster Hunter Online or Explore Lore video as there is little information about for them but hey if you can find something that would be awesome!
I would love to but both of them are basically entirely lost to time, since neither of them were preserved.
Monster Hunter Frontier on the other hand... ;D
@@Oceaniz Very understandable thank you for replying tho!
This was an absolutely incredible video with great visuals and great storytelling! Definitely please keep making these 😃😃
This guy killed 30 minutes in 10 minutes. How’d dat happen? This guys good at tugging strings with his words…
Wow, really puts the name Diablo in Diablos
The editing and sound design of this piece was really good, it drew me into the story more than I expected.
I want to write something like this, albeit about Lagiacrus
Please do more, i will gladly see them all
Please lord make this a series I'm begging you 🙏🙏😭😭. This is way to good for it to be a one time thing bro
Vary good storytelling, i have never been so terrified of a diablos in all my years of hunting 💙
This was a great short story.
You can easily turn this into an audiobook, it’s that good.
