It was just the only reason I could come up with lol - The Flooded Forest Guard is never confirmed to be wearing Ludroth Armor. I just needed to visualize them somehow, and thought it'd make sense for them to fashion their uniform out of materials in the area.
For the second statement, it could have been much more good that the guards were wearing some other wet proof, flamboyant and warm hides, to be compatible for the environment. My best option was Slagtoth Full set, with good Water res because it has Slagtoth oil, it's warm armor, because of the hide fats and also, super acessible rather than Ludroths, which absorbs water than repel it and with that it causes the armor to become much more heavier. But, anyways good video.
The fact you were able to make this video longer than 5 seconds is impressive. Seriously though the research you must have done for this? Now THAT is seriously impressive. Sub'd! :) Keep it up man (I still can't believe you were able to get THIS much content from MHR just wow!)
I've always thought a sort of 'Pokemon Snap' style spinoff for MH where you play as a researcher would be a cool way to both see even more natural Monster behavior and see some of the mentioned stuff like female Mizutsunes and the males outside of breeding season
@@seich-of-lacan-getter514 Handler would be a quest management type game, I mean being a member of a proper research team photographing monsters to study them and their behavior
I do love how you explain the difference with the 3rd gen and 5th gen versions of the Flooded forest. If it’s the wet season they send in the hunter from Moga because they swim good. When it’s the dry season they can send in hunters from different regions. Clever detail.
I can't help but imagine the felyne in the intro as Trenyaa from MHFU lol. I really like how the MH lore started to grow wider and got more explanation. I also love the references from the older game Like how the ace cadet aka Aiden or excitable A Lister come to the new world, or the theory that MHW huntsman is actually the hunter from MHFU intro.
It's a bit late for that since you already did 4 zones, but maybe if you showcase another mh game, would it be an old one or mhparadise when it comes out, I suggest you reserve a part of the video to talk about herbivores and small monsters that don't have a "great" that also live in the area.
I'd love to have an encounter with a colony of female Mizutsune. I can imagine being able to walk up to river as one was fishing, plop down next to it, throw a fishing line into the water and just chill alongside these generally peaceful fish-fox leviathans. I can only imagine how ferocious they'd be if they were protecting young, though...
Capcom should continue making mammalian leviathans because the 2 are already interesting. Deviating from your usual elements seen on 90% of monsters and combining reptilian features with mammalian creates interesting opportunities. Thanks for the vid we appreciate!
Great video. However I don't think "in heat" refers to males. Only females. A more accurate term for the males would be rut. Like a deer. The males go into rut, while the females go into heat.
There's a motion that Great wroggi marks its territory by spitting out venom similar to Great baggi marking its territory by spitting tranqulizing liquid
He absolutely could have fit in, one big struggle of this series has been placing a roughly equal number of Monsters into each episode, as Rise has an odd distribution as far as non-world species are concerned... Chammy will be in the Jungle episode!
11:10 I have a personal hatred for Ludroths, THE BLOODY THING IS SO TEDIOUS TO KILL! Easy to kill? Yes. A pain to kill to the point that I can't be bothered? Also yes. Why do I hate it? Out of every agile monster, Royal Ludroths have to be the most annoying for my play style, I can handle monsters that don't stay still, but Royal Ludroths, for me at least, are freaking slipperyer then a Lucent Nargacuga.
This video just proves how detailed and realistic the monsters in monster hunter are. These videos all just feel like animal documentaries and I love it!
there are: highly toxic/venomous and rightly colored to warn you near invisible creatures to avoid conflict and then the stonefish, the near invisible fish that poisons you to death if you acsidentily step on it...
I love that both the male and female almudron take part in there mating ritual makeing great pieces of mud art i absolutely love species where both the males and females take part in the mateing ritual in monster hunter and real life
It's a shame that there are very few monsters in this episode. I know it has to do with Rise's distribution of monsters not from world and I wouldn't be surprised if the relic records had something to do with it too. And I'm not saying it's bad, I love this series and this episode is also great. On an unrelated note. I wonder if the rampage messages will be a part of this. I doubt it considering the rampage messages don't have a map though.

So a spin off where your a Handler rather then a hunter
@@seich-of-lacan-getter514 Handler would be a quest management type game, I mean being a member of a proper research team photographing monsters to study them and their behavior
Monster Hunter Snap! That would be so cool. Would be right at home on the switch too.
The closest thing we got to that is World and it’s research mechanic

Nothing better to wake up to than a new ecology documentary. Makes my day.
That outro part actually made me tear up a bit. Your voice is so calming and welcoming
Just want to mention that male animals do not go into heat, the male equivalent is being in rut.
Been waiting. It’s finally here. I have watched all the others and love them
I do wonder how some monsters taste
I imagine Aptonoth probably aren’t that different from beef or bison.

"If a hunter encounters a red-finned Mizu, it's best to immediately evacuate"
Mfs with agitator builds: "No, I don't think I will"
what about chameleos?
The Royal Ludroth is literally a Middle eastern Chad Thunderkok.

You should make some based off fallout
The only reason why I’ll pay the electric bill😀
I first got into monster hunter hoping I could find content like this, it took 2 generations, but it was so worth it
Thanks for giving me my dream content keep it up~
Man the Royal Ludroth is just your typical anime isekai protagonist
unfortunatly, the royal ludroth is more...
wholesome, kind, and considerit than most isekai protaginists.
and more aware than some isekai protags.
One thing I noticed watching this video is that the flooded forest in rise is much more of a clearing than a forest

Mammalian monsters ( non fanged beasts ) include
Mizu, Almudron, Zinogre, Lunagaron, Wulg, Banbarro, Nargacuga, Paulumu, Barioth, ( Great ) Izuchi , Teo / Lunastra. I probably forgot some tho
@@ReadilyAvailibleChomperisnt zinogre a fanged wyvern?
@@lukebell7463 He is mammalian inspired. All monsters are reptiles / birds, aside from the bugs, crabs, and beasts.
The fish 🐠🐟 in monster hunter universe must be so fatty and tasty.
This is not something I have ever thought of but damn I'm hungry now.
Love the pages with their claws/feet.
The notes for this map could've given us a lot more. I need more on these ruins.

Babe wake up, new Oceaniz vid about Rise has dropped
Was kinda expecting you to atleast mention Gobul, since the Flooded Forest was his signature map in 3U, but eh
5:49 Isn’t it more apt to say it’s “poisonous”? It’s not injecting the toxin this way.
This one's scroll entries are... Probably the least, cool one, but i still like how cute the story it tells.

babe wake up new Oceaniz MH ecology video just dropped
These ecology videos are always a joy to watch
Mizutsune and almudron seem to be exact opposite, mud vs soap
These videos remain a fantastic piece of the Monster Hunter fandom. Keep up the great work!
Been waiting for this!
Little surprised you didn't include the carapacians. But I guess you wanted to use the others before you got to the kingdom introduced monsters.
I wonder why Chameleos wasn't part of this ecology. He seems right at home in the Flooded Forest.

Jyuratodus does live here, but he was already covered in the MHW Documentaries, so he isn't featured in this episode.

I think gurudo from legends of zelda are a non-fisharian species.
btw, what happened to all the males born after ganondworf in tears of the kingdom?
What's the music around the Almudron/murky marauder part.?
This video is so well made. Wish I could give a “double like” or something lol
Can you do one about the felynes and their partnership with hunters
BUBBLES!!!!!!!
If this is the same flooded forest as in mh3, the absence of gobul and lagiacrus in Sunbreak seems lore-wise nonsensical.
