For many many years I abandoned Christ and his teaching. An attendance to a funeral and the amazing homily by the priest made me realize the error of my ways. My faith in Jesus Christ and his Church has been restored. Thank you God. I know you were never far away, you never abandoned me

Just remember you're not alone, happens to most of us at times. This gospel certainly takes effort, even with a strong testimony. You're either feeding and strengthening your testimony or it's diminishing. We all work with what we have. Music , as already suggested, is extremely powerful and usually how I feel the spirit best! Love it 😊

Tonight we gathered as a family and I cast out unclean spirits. My son was in his room and a pencil flew across the room almost hitting him and hit his dresser hard enough to break the lead. Other things happened in the home the past few months. I put this on now because the demons can't bear to hear His name.
I believe in Christ! Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ is the only-begotten, crucified, buried, and resurrected Son of Almighty God!
This is going to be the closing hymn at my baptism this Saturday, March 12, 2016.

Not gonna lie. I turned this on because i'm alone in my apartment and i could feel something evil trying to use it's influence on me, but when i turned this on in an effort to feel better the evil feeling left.

Simply saying you believe in Christ does not make you a Christian. You have to believe who Christ really is. He is God, and not one of many Gods. There is a big distinction there. Muslims believe in Jesus. But they think he was just a prophet. Jehovah Witnesses believe in Jesus. But they think he is just a angel like being. Mormons believe the Jesus in an exalted many who, through a perfect life, became a god. He is one of many gods. Mormon men who follow his path will become gods themselves. That is not a Christian view because it is not a biblical view. There is only one God. Jesus is one with God, of the same substance, the same being, eternal and everlasting.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Note "the word WAS God". Not "a god". He is, was, and always will be God.

According to your own words saying you believe in him does not mean you believe in him? must people have your permission 1st? and who sets who Christ Really is? If all christian's do then why are there baptist, methodist, protestant, catholic, etc?? and how do we know they are christians if the only "Say they are christians"? You need to work on your own path and let each man and woman work on theirs. More love and understanding and less hate and persecution of others. Be more Christ like and less human like

I didn't see hate there. Mormons and many people of other religions are very good people. If there were a God or Gods (there isn't) she or he would not want petty squabbling over which is the one right path. Be good. Do good. It's pretty simple.
So you are saying that someone is considered Christian based on a certain interpretation of doctrine used in the bible? If you believe it this way, you are considered to be a Christian. If you believe it in that way, you are not Christian. Even thou, both sides considered themselves to be Christian. Whats funny is that there are a lot of "Christians" out there that do say "I believe" but really, don't do much and they think they will be saved. There are others, however, that are "Christians" and it is proven in the fruits of their labors. Get back to what I was just saying, I am going to tell all the chsritain world out their. No! you are wrong! Believing the bible in a particuler way does not make you Christian. Being Christain is'nt believing the bible in a particuler way. Its your actions. Yes, the members of the church of Jesus Chrsit of Latter Day Saints are Christians. Other people who belong other other christain churchs are also christain. We all can be christlike and be considered Christan. I love this song and I hope people that come onto youtube will also love it and be converted to christ in whatever way. My favorite line
I love the memories this music brings to my heart. I think of Elder McConkie and his ever unwavering testimony.
His last testimony was incredibly powerful. I listen to it often. I, too, think of him now when I hear this beautiful song!

It's worth the time and effort it takes to memorize all 4 verses- it's a powerful reminder to have on hand when the adversary is grabbing at your heels
I get so overcome when the Sopranos sing...ye shall obtain- I feel like our prayers ascend to Heaven with those angelic voices.

Same here and I amn ot even Mormons but I love your hymns and lots of other hymns too. The Catholic hymns to Mary can be pretty good too - nice to see the women getting a look in in the words of hymns for a change - you can see why Marian religiosity took off in its hey day.
A great way to ease the stress is to listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ
Among the many hymns and many verses of song, there are a few lines in particular that stand out to me. And, perhaps, one in particular; "I believe in Christ, so come what may".
As said in D&C 122, verse 7, to Joseph Smith the prophet, by God.
"And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good."
Sometimes things seem bleak, perhaps overwhelmingly so. But I believe in Christ. So, come what may.
Ever since i read this comment of yours, when i hear that last verse, i feel so much better and i feel my soul fill with hope like because of christ and his love, i can overcome these trials. I don't know why but the orchestra just adds ao much to the choir. I love listening to the choir with the orchestra maybe because I have been in band all my life. Don't get me wrong I love the choir I just love hearing the orchestra a lot!

Its always uplift my spirit and reminds me of my covenant I made with God n through not loosing my faith I will return to Church to worship n read upon my scriptures and take upon my sacrament 🙏

This is an actual hymn of the Latter-day Saints. We sing it once in awhile in Sacrament meetings. As the Lord said of the Roman Centurion there's room at the Father's table for everyone regardless of faith.

Mormons believe in "a Christ", but they don't believe in Jesus Christ who is described in the bible. They believe that Jesus is one of many Gods. Christians believe in 1 God. Jesus, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit are one being, not three separate beings. Christians also believe that because Jesus is God, he is eternal, with not beginning or end. He is not an exalted man, but he is God himself, perfect, eternal, with no beginning or end. He was begotten and not made as the result of procreation by God the father and his spirit wife. Not trying to be mean, just stating facts.

I've heard and/or sung (sang?) this song so many times.
But this time...I just teared up, and felt ... I dunno.. a peaceful joy? It was like a happy hug for my soul. There are many things I don't know or understand in this life, but I do know one thing is absolutely certain, and that is peace in Christ.
