Thanks again man!
Hey Sparty I've noticed that some of the minor factions in this are led by named characters, like in the first game.
I know that in game one Gorfang Rotgut, Alrik Ranulfsson, Kazador Dragonslayer, Daith, Bohemond Beastslayer, & Marius Leitdorf all led minor factions. It would be cool to see them become legendary lords as I all if not most of them had rules on tabletop. I know that there were other characters from the lore that led factions in the game that weren't on tabletop like Aldebrand Ludendoff of Talabecland, Chilfroy of Artois, & Adalhard of Lyonesse, but I don't expect to ever see them.
So far in game two I've seen a few named characters from the lore leading factions. The Necrarch Brotherhood is led by W'soran, the Strygos Empire is led by Ushoran, & there is a rogue army called the Wrath of Nature that's led by Amadri Ironbark. I'll keep an eye out for other ones.
Yes please do let me know!!!
they're just generic lords though, right?
ItalianSpartacus Yeah, it's the same for the ones in the first game. They just have names that we recognize. Amadri was surprising though when I saw him. He's kind of a lesser known Wood Elves character. It's also odd that he was an Ancient Treeman, since in the lore I believe he was a Wood Elf that ended up turning into a Treekin instead of a Treeman.
I'd love to see this kind of a video for the Lizardmen. Out of all the unique buildings I've encountered so far, the Pyramid of Nagash is the coolest one yet.
Nicely done. ...now I just need to find someone this obsessed with the Lizardmen.
hahah i shall do the lizardmen!
Glad to hear it. I'm just pleased to see you doing something you're obvious passionate about.
High Elves are awesome!
Very cool vid, exactly the info I need when I start my new HE campaign.
glad i could help :)
Caledor has a working volcano, but at the same time Ulthuan is a floating isle. Ah Games Workshop... :p
MAGMA... MAGIC MAGMA!
Awh yeah new ItalianSpartacus vid. My morning was just made.
YUSSS! :D
My first and only campaign has been high elves and this vid helped me understand them more. Thanks, Im currently at war with a high elf faction on the far west of Ulthuan, had eradicated one from the inner east portion, and the skaelings destroyed the eastern most faction. I have a prominent dark elf faction in the north . All I have battled have been high elves for the most part. Its like the Sundering within a Sundering. Im gona switch to diplomacy so i can absorb the rest and focus in the dark elves...so many deaths...
Looks like there is a possibility that Jerrod d'Quenelles could be the leader of the rogue army Jerrod's Errantry Army, but I may be wrong
Great video, looking forward to the DE one.
Also its not on ulthuan, but the elven colony line can get pretty insane, in the bottom right corner there is a province with 3 ports and 3 colonies that stacks up a bonus of +159% income from ports
The Fortress of Dusk/DAwn!?
Nope, don't believe that's what he means
ItalianSpartacus He's talking about Tor Elasor, The Tower of Sun, and The Tower of Stars.
oh shit, i shall investigate
ItalianSpartacus If I'm not mistaken then those are the ones they're down beneath Kroq-Gar. They're quite a powerful faction even early on cause they produce ridiculous amounts of money.
So I just finished a dark elf campaign where the took over a lot of these sites but they give different "boons" as you say lol. Could you do a video on the differences? I'm assuming the Asur also get different bonuses from the dark elf special buildings.
I'd have to go capture them all as Malekith and then tell you waht the boons are ;) might take me some time!
Some of them aren't available for the Delfs, but the only one I noticed having a big difference was the Shrine of Asuryan, which for the Delfs is the "Corrupted Flame of Asuryan" and keeps the untainted bonus but swaps the cost reduction for worship buildings for a big diplo bonus with all Delfs (+50) and Helfs (+100). This would be a big deal but you have to invade ulthuan to get it which pisses off most elven factions, lothern/loremasters confed most of the factions, and the vortex mechanic locks you into war with lothern/loremasters once they hit the second to last ritual.
Do Dark Elves next!!!
sounds good to me :D
The subtitles don't say Phoenix Guard hahaha oh dear.
what are the gate guard??
A garrison unit.
can you show us the different high elves gates? THey seem unique
i shall try!
They arent really. No unique buildings and only special thing i saw was the gate guard
I only saw phoenix and eagle gate and they look sweet
Thanks!
First!
Your vids are great.
Thanks so much MArty :)
I thought the phoenix king cheated the system using magic so as to not burn
as per the end times, yes that's true -_-
which is stupid, fuck end times, it makes malekiths story dumb.
We dont talk about the End times. They never happened. There is nothing to see here.
when shadow warriors got added to the game, i think dragon princes would got replaced by them because lore perspectives.
whatcha mean!
ItalianSpartacus forget it you don't what i'm saying.
that sentence makes no sense buddy.
well you know i always skipped an sentence so made an nonsense.
i'm so sorry :)
ItalianSpartacus I believe he means for the garrison of Tor Anlec
