Hands down, Spinach/Cheese
I've made the mushroom quiche a few times, first time followed the recipe to the book, second time I added spinach that added a nice flavor, another time I added Canadian bacon, each time it was a hit with the family, note that I've substituted half & half for whipping cream and I've added mozzarella to gruyere for a nice balance. This is now my go to recipe for quiche, thank you.

Quite a fiddle to make. I made the spinach and onion one. Worth the effort as it tasted pretty special. Massively better than shop bought ones. Thanks for the video

I've been making quiches for 30 years, and I've never once blind baked them first. I use a pate brisse recipe similar to yours but with an egg, and it cooks perfectly with the liquid egg mixture, is foolproof and never soggy. Not having to blind bake makes the whole process much easier, imo.
Totally agree, i have tried blind baking a few times and it was totally unecessary, just made the process more complicated and the pate drier than it should be.

Use one of the many pate brisse recipes on the internet, roll it out into your flan tin and place whatever you're using into the tart (asparagus; smoked salmon & goats cheese; bacon etc), pour your egg mixture into it, top it with some grated cheese and a sprinkle of sweet paprika, then bake till golden. Easy peasy. Enjoy.

@@saritaylor3648 Six or seven large eggs beaten (more if your quiche dish is on the large size), cream (or milk), salt, pepper. That's about all I use, but you can add chopped fresh herbs if you like. I always add chopped dill if I'm making the smoked salmon & goats cheese quiche. You can put in any filling you feel like, but I love asparagus and I've used tinned red salmon which is also yummy. Mushroom quiche is tasty as well, using several types of grilled mushrooms, along with onions. Experiment to see what you prefer, and greetings from Tassie.

What I love about quiche is you can pretty much make it with anything you like 👍🏻 I’m a fan of cheese , cherry tomatoes and red onion , tasty and cheap ingredients ♥️

These look delicious. A friend of mine once made a bacon, sun-dried tomato quiche/ flan. It was the only time I'd ever had it and it was so delicious. I can't wait to make some or all of these.

Not that easy, not that difficult too. But you have to keep an eye while blind baking. If underbaked/overbaked will impact final result. Also we have to keep the dough cold otherwise butter wil melt into the dough and it is a disaster 🙈

WOW - I love quiches with all kind of fillings making the same kind of egg/cream/cheese mix. Usually I make them with puff pastry (to safe some calories...) but I will sure try your recipe for the dough! They all look so delicious!! I also appreciate that you come right to the point without "blabbering" and the choice of background music. Will sure return for more videos!!

@@Arberin The ready made pastry available here is (acc. to the scanned bar code) Short Crust Pastry = 468 cal; Puff Pastry = 302 cal. I guess you can do the math? - LOL!

Not that easy but not that difficult too. And yes, making Quiche from scratch it is took a lot of time. Time consuming. But your end product will be sooooo delicious. Worth it!

Great looking quiches initially. Once they are cut and a slice is shown the pastry on the bottom looks uncooked. Soggy bottom as Mary Berry would say.

You can use frozin pie dough it’s light and buttery all you do is add your ingredients and bake , very easy ..

I never dared making my quiche dough in the food processor even though the idea crossed my mind many times, I hate the mess of butter and flour on my hands but I thought doing it by hand was the only way. Definitely trying this, but i think i will use an egg instead of the water, it just makes the dough yummier
