My brother found this video and asked me to make it. Had to eliminate wine. Used lemon juice instead and seasoned the chicken a bit more. It turned out perfectly splendid. Thank you for sharing your recipe 😊
Verjus blanc is another great sub for non-alcohol as it is still derived from grapes. If the absence of alcohol is in support of a former alcoholic then I completely understand. If it is because one is worried about the alcohol content then the alcohol will be simmered off totally in the cooking process.
@@tomf3150 lemon juice is really nice with chicken but be careful you don't use too much lemon juice or white vinegar as they can cause the cream to split, separate. Also, tests have been done on alcohol used in this way, the majority of the alcohol does evaporate away but not completely.

OH MY GOSH... I have cooked for 50 years and never tried to make this dish, thinking it was too hard to do... YOU are my Heroine... Thank YOU so much for making this GREAT Video... I need to see more... SOOOO HAPPY.
I've made this for years and never knew it was called Chicken Fricassee. I just called it chicken with white wine and my wife and kids knew what I was talking about. Being from the lower middle class of America in the 1960s and 70s what we called Chicken Fricassee when I was a kid was made with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup which created a much whiter, kind of salty sauce without the great flavors and nuances of the butter, herbs, wine and broth in this recipe (not to mention the use of fresh mushrooms here vs the teeny tiny bits of rehydrated dried mushroom in the Campbell's product). My dad still makes the Campbell's version from time to time and it's not bad, mainly because it brings back fond memories of my childhood, but there's a reason I came up with this version independently through trial and error.
Just made this, it was devoured in my household. Soooo flavourful, although I lack the thyme and parsley, def will have for next time. Thank you xmillion. Not complicated at all💖

The sauce was great even before cream was added 😋

My brother found this video and asked me to make it. Had to eliminate wine. Used lemon juice instead and seasoned the chicken a bit more. It turned out perfectly splendid. Thank you for sharing your recipe 😊
Verjus blanc is another great sub for non-alcohol as it is still derived from grapes. If the absence of alcohol is in support of a former alcoholic then I completely understand. If it is because one is worried about the alcohol content then the alcohol will be simmered off totally in the cooking process.
Probably a religious ban. But lemon juice ? I'd rather use water or a shot of white vinegar.

@@tomf3150 lemon juice is really nice with chicken but be careful you don't use too much lemon juice or white vinegar as they can cause the cream to split, separate. Also, tests have been done on alcohol used in this way, the majority of the alcohol does evaporate away but not completely.

Made this recipe with added garlic seasoning and mixed herbs to the chicken-it was honestly one of the best things I've ever cooked. Thank u for this recipe, so yummy!!
Just when I thought you were done you kept adding into it and making it look absolutely delicious, will definitely make this sometime soon 💙
Oh.My.Gosh. This recipe is so good! Creamy, buttery! I can't believe I pulled it off the first time! It is now one of my favorite chicken dishes! 🤤
Thank you for sharing!
Pro tip: Mix chicken consome pouder with your salt and pepper for extra chicken punch! Just keep in mind that the consome is usually a bit salty, so adjust your salt accordingly ✌️
Ultra pro tip: along with the cream, add a spoon of normal Dijon mustard and another one of Dijon with seeds and prepare to be mind blown 🤤🤯
Made it this week, so delicious! Fed me for 3 days and the last serving was with tortellini pan tossed in the leftover sauce. Substituted wine with cooking sake cos I couldn't find my wine stash! Next time I'll use home made chicken stock so it doesn't get too salty. Cooking with you brings me joy, Thanks Nagi!❤
After watching 100's of recipe videos, I'm not sure why I find this the most satisfying to watch.
Because it is short, to the point.
Not the Webspoon videos?
music ☺️
beautiful well-loved enameled cast iron cookery could also have something to do with it 😬 wonderfully art-directed. French cooking is a love affair for the senses 😍
I generally dislike cooking videos. I really prefer reading recipes to watching them, unless there is a new to me technique or process used in preparation, videos are not usually useful for me. But, thanks to Nagi at Recipe Tin Eats, I have learned that there are cooking videos that are actually enjoyable to watch, no over-emoting "character Chef", no fake bonhomie, no pretension at all. You sent me the recipe, and moved me to try the video.I have already bought the ingredients, watched the video and I'll be preparing it tonight! Thank you again, Nagi!
I made this today but with my own twist seasoning the chicken with salt, pepper, adobo, and red pepper flakes and then instead of heavy cream, coconut milk and it was a HIT! My cousin was mesmerized and complimenting me over and over! 😂Thank you! 🙏
Made this and its delicious! My son who hates mushroom finally loves it but only cooked this way. This dish is a winner!
I’ve made this recipe twice, modified some ingredients to make use of my small pantry, and cooked this in my cast iron skillet since I don’t have a dutch oven, and it was a blasting success every time. Thank you so much for such a wonderful recipe, I will definitely try more of your creations in the future!
I cooked it after watching, they just loved it.
First time making this dish a few days ago, was a hit with the family -. Never thought I'd ever be able to make a fancy dish like this - not only was it a hit with my family but it definitely helped boost my confidence in the kitchen...thank you for sharing this!
I made this and everyone in my family loved it! I substituted the 8 pieces of chicken thighs and drumsticks for 5 tenderloins. I added penne pasta instead so there was plenty of sauce. It also tastes almost identical to this other dish Rigatoni D!
Just made it an hour ago and it was incredible! Also a huge fan of the White Chicken Lasagna that I've found on your blog. Made it a dozens of times already. So, thank you for the amazing content!
Chicken and use a vodka cream sauce with cheese of coarse. Rocks. My recipe.😊
Which flour she is added??
How beautiful! And most importantly, no empty chatter. Bravo, master!
Tried this recipe did everything except the heavy whipping cream and it still turned out great. Great with mashed potatoes you can use the gravy for the mashed potatoes too😋
Probably not a heavy whipping cream, probably 15% cooking cream. Adds richness without too much else.
Its definitely not whipping cream as that contains gelatine, it will be cooking cream but pure cream which is naturally thick does also work.
I've been looking for a Fricasse recipe for years ( I only recall the messy mush from school dinners!). This was superb. I loved it. I couldn't modify the measurements for two people so we've got more than enough for today with pasta rather than mash. I ❤ it! Thanks you x

I tried this today, and it tasted as good as it looks. I am so satisfied and It was delicious. thank you so much for sharing this video!!!! I will be making this more often.
Rustled this up for the family today and it went down a storm. Skipped the mushrooms and parsley, replacing the shrooms with carrots. It's better than anything Gousto and Hello Fresh have offered in the last 18 months. Looking forward to working my way through more of your recepies :)
That looks absolutely delicious, very nicely prepared & excellent presentation. Thanks for sharing 😋
Hello chef , I want to thank you for this dish, because I made your dish in my kitchen exam and the dish was one of the best 3 dishes 😊,
Cooked this today, what a marvellous dish ! Thank you.
made this for our dinner, and it was a hit! it's quick and ingredients are easy to find tho i replaced thyme with rosemary but it was still good! thank you for sharing this recipe :)
I have made this so many times!!! My family just love it! Can’t get enough!! Thanks Nagi.
I make this as my "go to" dish with when I forage wild mushrooms. Makes it even better as wild mushrooms flavor everything they're cooked with.
Can I do this with chicken breast only ?
Ah, French cooking is truly great.
We followed this recipe and are eating it now, and this is 1000% comfort food! For added yum, put whatever heavy cream is left in your carton into the potatoes while you're mashing them.
Found this from a call me Kevin Sims 4 playlist for some reason and it’s now what I plan to make for dinner one night this week 😂
Made this last week and making it again today. It tastes AMAZING! Thank you so much for this recipe! Please make more

OH MY GOSH...

YOU are my Heroine...
Thank YOU so much for making this GREAT Video...
I need to see more...
SOOOO HAPPY.
Omg 😱
This looks so flavoursome and delicious!! Lovely colour on the chicken… amazing recipe ❤️
Wow. Love this recipe. Added Chile flakes like adedare, and this dish blows me away with how rich and gravy like it is. Strongly recommend you try it.
Obsessed with your videos and recipes!! Thank you for all the amazing meals :)
Just made this, it was devoured in my household. Soooo flavourful, although I lack the thyme and parsley, def will have for next time. Thank you xmillion. Not complicated at all💖
How did u made the cream?? Is that white sauce??
Ohlala, ça donne envie ! Recette simple, délicieuse, que vous présentez bien 👏👏👏Je la ferai ce soir😀
I made this a couple weeks ago, was a lot of things I cook with for the first time(cream, flour) and lemme tell you, it turned out heavenly 😍 thanks for this 💜
Watching this and salivating at 12.30am!!! Looks so yummy! 🤤 I usually don’t prepare every recipe I come across, but this one - I’ll definitely try out!! ❤️
The sauce looks incredible! 😱😱😍😍
Well prepared in putting all the ingredients certainly this is really yummy, thanks for sharing this tempting and mouthwatering recipe.
thanks so much for the recipe! 🙏 this was so easy to make and restaurant quality delicious! didn't have lid so just simmered it uncovered for 30 min and forgot the parsley but amazing nevertheless... ate it with grilled veg & baby leaf plus focaccia to mop up the sauce! made tons of sauce that I plan to use as pasta sauce tomorrow. The sauce was great even before cream was added 😋
Lost track of this channel a while back, glad I've found it again! One of the best of all cooking channels out there!!!
I made it following your instructions and it was delicious. Thanks for your recipe.
Made this a few months ago. My family and I loved it! With rice or noodles it's perfect. Now I wanna cook it again :) thanks for the idea
