I’m currently on day 4 of week two of my carnivore journey. Here’s what’s happened so far:
Heart palpitations are 90 percent gone
Swelling has completely gone in my feet
The aching in my fingers/hands and knees has gone down by about 60 to 70 percent
I’m not hungry between meals and so far have had no cravings
I know I’ve lost weight but don’t plan on weighing until day 30
    I’m 63 BTW

I'm 54 and the hot flashes keep me awake all night every night and I never have energy. My husband thinks I'm lazy and I'm not, I want to do lots of stuff but I just don't have the energy. You guys are really starting to convince me to start carnivore. I wish I could just convince my husband to start it with me so I wouldn't have to have junk food in the house.

I had sage-pills for my hotflashes... they worked for me. I stopped taking them 2 weeks ago, the hotflashes are still there but much less pronounced then before i started sage. Somebody recommended a specific kind of honey (can't remember witch) I spent almost a fortune but it didn't help me at all. I hope for you this will stop soon Ella...

Cheese, heavy cream, eggs, bacon, coffee with heavy cream butter, carnivore 108 days 47lbs down. Depression brought me to carnivore. Depression has lifted, like my new look feeling sexy at 67. I have not stopped my beer i smoke my pot, need to quit smoking once again. So not perfect. Feeling great walking 6 miles a day most days, no regurgitation on my pillow in morning apparently i don't snore anymore. Been retired 2 years now going to work two days a week at a nursing home owned by the United Church which has been having issues with getting nursing staff. Looking forward to it and helping my community i have the skill and i have the energy. Two months ago going back to work not on my radar. I do eat pork, chicken but want the beef. On the rare occasion i have had sweets butter tarts, icecream, cake, no guilty feelings, was not particularly cravings for such made my decision and enjoyed not wanting or needing them on a regular basis. Not finding it hard, not feeling deprived. I know i will be so much better quitting nicotine, smoked on and off since 8 years old, oh well. Off most of my medications for reflux, atrial fib, blood pressure way down. Did my insulin fasting came back at 15 my doctor stated that she did not know how to interpret results, the lab results stated it was low, but with my research it should be less than 5. My A1C borderline just had those repeated hopefully they improved. So i was heading for pre diabetic, most likely had fatty liver, definately viseral fat. Tight 36 in stretch jeans to 34 waist needing a belt, energetic feeling young looking better i take pictures of myself every Thursday man the first picture is a old man just waiting for the grave, fat belly huge love handles puffy face to a younger looking man that has a future. The emotional changes have to be experienced hard to put in words. This was a 90 day challenge and i am continuing onward looking forward for more positive changes. 240 lbs now 193, goal 180, wait loss has slowed not concerned, will be a 60lb reduction

I'm not carnivore although I could easily be good with carnivore. I've been Keto since July last year. Started at 308 pounds with bad sleep apnea and medicated daily heartburn. Within a month of starting keto I no longer needed the heartburn pills, snoring nearly completely stopped and I probably lost 15 pounds.
15 months later I'm down 100 pounds, no sleep apnea, heartburn is maybe once a month if that and my pant size dropped from 44 down to 34-36 . It's insane at 48 years old to be able to transform myself so easily.

I'm 68, started carnivore in 2019 and lost 75 pounds, fell off and gained 50 back. I began carnivore again in February. I do not eat pork at all, no seafood that does not have fins and scales, I love sardines and cod livers in their oil. I gave up coffee and tea, poultry is meh, I stopped eating cheese and heavy cream but still cook with butter. Currently, since I still have 100 pounds to lose I cut the fat off my meat and do not drink the fish oils. I might cut out eggs to see if they cause me inflammation. I still have diabetes but do not take any medicine. I still have Myasthenia Gravis in my eyes but it is much better. I have a lot more energy and do not get every two hours to use the restroom anymore. Pot roast is yum. I eat 8-12 oz of beef and 8 eggs scrambled in butter twice a day and still love my food. I have no aches or pains to speak of and where once I couldn't walk across the room without having to stop to catch my breath, I am able to work in the yard for a couple of hours. Oh, and NO sunburn and I don't use sunscreen. I'm sticking with carnivore this time and all the people out there pushing their own agenda can go jump in the lake. I feel good. I am happy. I do not miss all of the other foods. My husband still likes his junk food and carbs, but he seems to metabolize them where I did not. If this lifestyle kills me, then fine, but I don't think it will. Ciao kids. I love your enthusiasm.

I’m going into my 60 days on strict carnivore and I’m 64. Lost 10 lbs so far, but best part… first thing - for the past year… very foggy eyes like cateracts and floaters. They are almost gone!!! Had a very SORE right foot from arthritis - almost gone!
Same as you guys, ENERGY and loss of desire almost overnight for chicken and bacon. I thought I’d NEVER stop eating chicken wings and bacon. Now? No!
Looking forward to the 90 day and 6 month level.

Coming up on two months myself in three days. I can concur with most of the symptom alleviation reported here.
No more body odor, no more cold hands and feet, general increased tolerance for cold, tartar falling off my teeth, no more night sweats, no more sensitivity to the sun, lost 10 lbs in the first 5 weeks. I am more relaxed than ever (what little anxiety I had is completely gone). I'm filled with a consistent sense of gratitude and trust. I"m a better listener and my relationships all around are benefiting.
My brain fog gone, clear focus, no more need for naps during the day. My skin has cleared up as well, and if I have any dairy I immediately break out. Bruising and cuts heal incredibly quickly, and I don't bruise nearly as easily as before. No more bloating, inflammation of the legs, no more puffiness around/under the eyes, and no more farts AT ALL. I eat a meal and then am not hungry for the next five hours. I only need two meals per day and have no desire to snack. Hunger and thirst signals are crystal clear.
Only thing that bugs me still is a general sense of muscle fatigue from simple things like walking up the stairs. I used to run multiple times a week and now I feel just unmotivated to move much. I've noticed that once I get started and stick with it I can definitely stay at it for longer than before with a consistent level of energy, but getting started is much harder than before. If anyone has any advice (I've already upped my salt and fat intake and am supplementing with iodine, potassium and magnesium), I'd be happy to hear it!
Cravings ended after just a couple of days, but seem to have suddenly returned over the past two days. I'm tempted to eat a piece of fruit but am trying to resist. Anyone else have a return of cravings after such a long time of smooth sailing?

    • @StevenSteph
      @StevenSteph  Рік тому +1

Hi Annee, I hope others chime in here. I haven't experienced the muscle fatigue yet. I would say that getting the minerals dialed in is important and drinking enough water is equally if not more important. Hope this is just part of the cleansing process for you keep us posted.

Very exciting to hear peoples success stories! I did want to comment on the person and their doctor. Doctors are human beings, they have opinions and education that they believe. I totally agree with what Steve said about have a conversation with the doctor. Bring some info etc. That person or any of us could educate the doctors and open their eyes to how to help their patients.
A quick story…..I broke my arm bike racing back in the day( I was 40 yr). Had plates put in my radius and ulna. At my last visit, the doctor said “ next year we need to remove the plates”. Luckily as a former veterinarian technician, I’d seen many animals have plates put in for broken bones and they did not have to be removed. So I said to the doctor “ how about if there’s any issues, we can remove them. Otherwise I’m keeping them”. So that was 1997 and my arm and plates are doing just fine. I’m a strong believer in we must be our own advocate and trust our intuition when something doesn’t feel right!

Steve and Steph this really has opened my eyes to a lot! I think for my health I’m going to try this way of eating. I’ve been eating high protein but that’s only in shake form. I don’t eat meat at all. Not since doing my protein shake which some days are turn into protein bowls with granola! Now listening to you guys I now know what my problem is because I have oats, almond milk, yogurt and I do put chia seeds in my shakes which I know is healthy for me. I now know why I’m swelling and that’s not ever happened to me before, plus inflammation as well. Wow what an eye opener this has been. I can’t wait to share this with my husband because he has arthritis in his neck and back and some days are very hard for him.. He says he has to stay active because of it.. Thank you and your followers for all the great information....

Omggggg!!! Yaaaaay!!! Yes!🎉 I CANNOT WAIT to hear your update!!!!! Oh my gosh! How exciting!! I bet in the 3 months mark he’s gonna be a whole new man like Steve!!! Nobody tells us we can get rid of arthritis pain!!! It’s mind blowing! And it’s seriously so simple and easy! And yes to eating REAL meat and not processed powders! They lose so many benefits when they get heated and transformed into processed food! The true fresh food is where it is! I cannot WAIT for you to feel that satiated energetic calm and happiness you’re going to feel after detox! You’re going to love it! And you won’t want to turn back! Just power through the hard part in the beginning. Your cravings are going to be INSANE! Addiction is real! Carbs are a drug 😆 you’re gonna be jonesing for them but just endure! It’s not a long time relatively and then the fantastic feeling starts and it’s amazing!!!! And the healing begins! So excited for you two! Glad you’re doing it together! ❤️

That’s so awesome that you are having such wonderful results on the carnivore diet…so excited for you both. I was prepping to join you on this journey, and then I did a lot of research. I found so much that supported the diet but I found equally as much current data against it. I’m so confused!! So I started a modified version, cutting out carbs, eating more meat but also some veggies, mostly those without lectins. So far so good…not as good as your results though. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey…thanks for sharing.

Starting with keto is best anyway. That way you’re less likely to get the keto flu detox symptoms. There’s a lot of misinformation out there. Do your own research. Listen to Dr Barry, Dr Chafee, Baker & others. They do the research & don’t throw pills at their patients. I’m glad you’re cutting the carbs. That’s so wise & your body is reaping the benefits.

I went carnivore only 2 weeks ago and already I need to buy new clothes. I don't want to because I'm a penny pincher so I'll go a while longer but already all my friends are insisting that I get some clothes that fit me. I was not overweight when I started the carnivore diet, having gone to the carnivore diet from the keto diet, but I've lost enough weight to get over the keto weight stall. I was feeling great on keto and I still feel great. I have no health issues, having gotten rid of all of them on keto, so I can't claim that carnivore has cured any health issues, but I see that a LOT of people who go to carnivore from a regular diet are amazed at how good they feel and how they've cleared up their health issues. Good stuff!

I’m a month in. I started about 2 months ago initially, but stopped bc of painful constipation even though I was eating lots of fat. This time around I’m regular unless I eat cheese. I’m cutting out dairy bc of this. Still in the adjustment phase. I got a bit of the keto flu 2 weeks in even though I started on keto. I don’t seem to need as much sleep. Always satisfied & full. I was eating 2 meals a day at first, but now 1 meal & a light meal, if any, in the evening suffices. Once I didn’t eat all day bc I really wasn’t hungry. I have hypothyroid. I’m hoping to lower my med & increase energy more & more. I want to hike & regain energy. With all the great testimonies I’m encouraged that it will happen. I started this journey bc if you two! I was hearing about it for awhile, but was skeptical. Your success & tips tipped me over the starting line.

You really changed my life. I knew i had to change my eating-habits, but you inspired me to actually do it! My doc is proud of me ;) As i am with myself. I am still learning... My skin is getting better. We sat down in a restaurant, and i ordered 3 fried eggs. Nothing else. The woman looked at me like i was crazy. And came back with 3 eggs with ham under there. And a bit of salad, who knows what is in the dressing! Turned it down. Then she came back with 3 baked eggs. With salad LOL. And what did i pay? 9 euros and 50 cents!!! I can get 3 boxes of 10 bio-eggs for that price! I'll take my own hard-boiled eggs from now on...I haven't deviated from my diet. No candy, no chips, only natural stuff. I feel a lot more energized. And my fridge is almost empty, and i produce less garbage. So it's good for the planet too.

Best way to reheat a leftover steakhouse ribeye and ribs I have no fancy appliances to cook with. An oven, stove top and an enameled cast iron dutch oven from Pioneer woman. A breville,I think its a toaster oven both were my moms do have a ninja slow cooker of hers too. Other stuff put up in storage probably would be handy to have but buried in storage at the moment. I do have some blenders and a nutiblast in there but cant get too at the moment. Gonna have to get through my storage but not happening until I can lose weight and heal a whole lot first. May she rest in peace. Love you momma! Miss you!

I started carnivore one week ago. I'm 61 and already am experiencing amazing unbelievable results! My high blood pressure is gone. My acid reflux and heartburn gone. My body aches and pains gone. My blood sugar is in perfect range and to top it all off, I dropped 10 lbs! Today I tried pork steak but didn't like it. I also tried flaken ribs and loved that!!! I put salt, pepper, garlic powder and butter on it, baked in my oven on 400 degrees for 20 minutes. It was soooo good!

I know it’s probably just something you have to jump in…. Now maybe if I can think of it as a 90 day thing it will be easier for me to get started. Maybe a New Year thing, I know I’m rambling ….. I’m 26 days in on carnivore, occasionally I’ll eat a little bit of cheese & I enter everything on a macro app, same one Steph has. I have been having problems with my ring finger “locking” up in the bent position & had gotten cortisone injections in the finger but it only helped for a very short time. Also when I wake up I can’t close my hands to make a tight fist for about 15 min. But now I’ve noticed that my finger isn’t locking up as bad and I can make a tight fist right away when I wake up (that’s probably inflammation) I used to also sit like a pretzel & I’ve noticed I’m starting to do that again and I’ve lost 10 lbs. I go to bed to early & wake up early but I don’t feel hung over I get right up. I’m trying to get my daughter who has PCOS to start this diet. I was hoping my anxiety would improve but so far nothing there. I can’t wait for my 1 yr check up in January.

Woohoo!!! That is SO COOL! It’s so weird to see our bodies start to fall apart as we age like the clenching a fist and then to have it REVERSE?!! As we age? Just from food?! Mind blowing!!!! It’s free! No meds or pills or special things, we just need to eat! And we can eat a lot! It’s so weird! ❤️❤️ I stopped the app after a few weeks because we’re eating the same foods all the time and I now know how I should feel and I’m just going by what I feel like now and I’m loving it! Learning to listen to my body❤🎉 So cool! Thank you for doing this journey with us! Please keep us posted!

At those times there are Non Scale Victories NSV are the things that even without anymore weight loss you notice that you have lost more inches, or instead of walking 1/2 mile you can walk the full mile, the swelling in your joints has gone down. Just a few examples. Don't rely only on the scale.

So glad I listened to this again about the stall and the loss in the beginning because I actually started losing since July and have lost 30 but this month put back on 7 pounds and it has held so I thought a challenge would be helpful and they always say at least 30 to 90 days with 90 being the best to test so over 90 days is even better.

Check up from Sweden😃 I started following you in your dumpster diving, and "fell" for your great vibe, and now..Here we are🥰🥰
Today is day 14 for me. I can tell you my first 6 days where as if I was in a treatment-home for drug abuse! I'm impressed and proud of my self because in stuck with it. I don't really understand why or how I did it😂 My body isn't ok yet. But I have high blood pressure, autoimmune( hypothyroidsm) and out of 2 meds for that I realise suddenly I missed 1/3 of one of them. I trust my body if it's forgotten, let it go. I have cronice pain, 1of 5 pill a day is gone. There are more meds in my little drawer, on Tuesday I test my blood pressure and weight. I absolut need to loose at least 25 kg, I bet I've lost at least 5 kg in theese 2 weeks. But the most important to me is getting healthier. (Pardon my spelling,I' m a Swede🤩) My body look totally different today. What I don't understand is how people can eat the amount of food they do!! My portion are sooo small and that's ok 'cause I trust that if I need to eat moore, I will. Trust the process!! Poo, what's that?😂😂 Haven't almost seen any! From a women who has had a life full of constipation.. When it comes to gray hair,I want it..but no😢 they won't come. I have a lot of mental health issues, I can say it's simpler to be among people. My sense of smell is crazzzzy. When I started I was set on doing 30 days, but now at least 60 days is my goal. I then I will revalue my goal. Today, I feel great, so much that I work my body to hard because I have so much energy, and sounds weird since my body have to catch up..now this woman in the best year of my life,60 years, is so greatful to hear of all people that is doing better and better. Thank you guys for doing this🙏❣️ and Steph you look like you've had a facelift, you were beautiful before, but it's like you skin has tighened up. Lots of love to all, and keep this up💪💪💪

Getting freshly butchered meat from a farm where the animals eat food the way they were intended it tastes completely different. It actually has flavor and tastes as it is supposed to.
