Been doing carnivore for a year now. First my psoriasis cleared, then my arthritis felt better. When I started this I was a size 22, now I'm a size 6. My life is vastly improved.
I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.

Keto and carnivore are a way of life not a diet..I went from 199 to 140 in 3 months on keto..off all medications. Its been 3 years and I feel better now than I have in 20 years.

I am 67 years old and started the carnivore diet 7 days ago. As GOD is my witness my knees and back are no longer stiff and I am free of pain. After 2 years of different treatments for Sciatica issues I began the Carnivore diet not even considering that would help. One day at work someone asked how my Sciatica pain was doing and at that point I realized that I wasn't hurting anymore.. at all, and the arthritis I had in my hands, knees, and other various joints is significantly better than before. 10 months in and I'm still going strong with it.
There’s a lot of natural collagen in meat that helps with your skin and joints. The lack of all the processed garbage we’ve grown accustomed to eating, let’s the inflammation in your system get processed out.

I am 49 y old. I was a size zero teenager with no teenagery female problems (cramps, acne, mood swings). I also ate mostly eggs, meat and liver growing up plus rice and beans with no fruit or veggies. Never liked the taste. Then, I went to college and fell for the 'veggies are good'. I dropped meat significantly and ate more veggies at 21 years. I went from size zero at 21 to 20 at 48 years old. I started carnivore 3 months ago and lost 22 lbs already.
I don't think only veggies made you to gain this weight. I would say that veggies on its own are not bad. The biggest problem for most people is ready food from supermarkets, sweets, alcohol and snacking in general.
Ive been able to avoid the back end issue completely. I started by quitting sugar, then went keto, then went carnivore over a period of a few weeks. Its going very well. My physique & athletic performance has improved immensely and i was already a very fit, high level surfer.

Intermittent fasting is also a big part of this higher fat eating program. The 16 hour fast is the cleansing phase which is very much a part of the whole thing
I'm 70, and over the last 3-4 years I haven't been as active as I used to be - and my consumption of carbs and sugars went up! Naturally I'm now packing extra pounds, with a few aches and pains I didn't used to have. I just started the carnivore diet last night, with a plate of liver, eggs and bacon. Bacon, eggs and sausage for breakfast, eggs and large hamburger for dinner. I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops!
Day 218 carnivore here. Best decision of my life. It cured most of my chronic health problems I'd had for years and decades, all of which were "idiopathic" in origin and not curable by traditional doctors with their medications. Now I know it wasn't idiopathic. I know the cause. Just look at 95% of your standard grocery store shelves.
I started keto last year, gradually went pretty much carnivore without knowing it. I am more ketovore with a small amount of veggies, broc, asparagus, sometimes cabbage. A week into straight carnivore now, we'll see what happens. 58 yr old dude, was 235 last year when I started, now 185. Feel better than I can remember in a long time.
I'm 70. I went carb free, Keto type diet, about 2 years ago. One thing I can attest to is, I've lost the desire to nosh because I'm never hungry. I was a CARB ADDICT. I love all things baked. Pies, Cakes, Rolls, Doughnuts, Cookies, Bread, etc. It's how I was raised. I can now look at these things without CRAVINGS. It doesn't bother me at all to be around them. I am currently about 158 lbs, which I hadn't been in 45 years. Had to buy smaller pants too. I do occasionally enjoy Birthday Cake and Ice Cream with the grandkids' birthdays and eat some carbs with a meal, but I'm over being ruled by carbs and cravings. It's great. I'm in control. And, I NEVER get hungry. I eat to live and enjoy what I eat. Salads are a treat. I'm so glad I decided to cut the carbs. Amazing. Good to hear about your success. Good luck in your future.

3 months of carnivore with 16/8 intermittent fasting, lost 23 lbs. After the two weeks of rocket fuel Joe mentioned; all my IBS symptoms, which I’ve struggled with for 25 years, completely gone.

I've basically been on this diet for the last 30 years and never even knew it was an actual thing. It's just the way I've always eaten in my adult life. I just heard of this "carnivore diet" today. I am 55 and still move and get around as well as someone in their 30's. I'm slender build, still have 6 pack abs and a toned physique and I don't work out or go to the gym at all.

hgh is human growth hormone, one of forms of roiding, that is commonly blamed for "palumboism"-the "pregnant bodybuidler" look. Growth hormone causes internal organs to increase in size as side effect (it is increasing muscle mass thats why it is used), whereas your entire frame does not grow, hence enlarged organs create huge gut that sticks out even if you are trianing like crazy. Rogan kinda looked like that, hence this comment. But, to be honest, his stomach looked like it got fat around internal organs, a normal response to bad diet accumulating its effects over decades. This fat is difficult to shed. But honestly if he was doing intermittient fasting this should not happen...unless he was eating a lot of carbs. Judging by his comment here he was eating a lot of carbs.

I had a “lost weekend” a month ago meaning I overate and all bad stuff: fast food, chips, sweets. On Monday I felt SO bad that I decided I needed to take a break from junk food. I went keto immediately (it was easy since I felt so lousy). I lost the weekend bloat in a few days. What I didn’t expect was that my crippling joint pain in my hips would disappear but that’s exactly what happened. I no longer limp. I no longer walk with a cane! My family eats a lot of protein, mostly deer meat/venison and fish that we harvest/catch and process ourselves. We don't have lots of things in Mississippi to be proud of, but we've got great whitetail deer hunting, long hunting seasons, extremely reasonable policies toward guns/firearms, and a culture that accepts, even celebrates, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. I cleaned about 20 lbs of catfish my son caught yesterday in a local reservoir, and last night we ate venison loin, stuffed with onions, peppers, and feta cheese. This is how my kids were raised, and thank God all of us are healthy, with no chronic health problems, and none of us are obese. I can't be sure, but I suspect our diet has had a lot to do with it. We eat much less processed food than the vast majority of Americans. In addition to venison and fish, our freezer holds squirrel and rabbit - both delicious when prepared correctly.
Sounds very reasonable. I'm in a cold state but during the growing months I never go to the grocery store for produce. I just harvest from my garden. I fish and hunt and eat what I catch or shoot. It just feels more satisfying when you put the work in (growing a garden, hunting) to eat what you work for. Keep it up, friend. 👍

My wife and I had promised each other that we'd always keep ourselves in shape/healthy. Last year, despite exercise and trying different types of diets, I'd gotten to the point where only one pair of ("relaxed fit") jeans still fit. A friend of mine just happened to mention carnivore; when I searched, I discovered Dr. Ken Berry's vids. Started last July. Not only do all of my clothes fit again, but I ditched the "relaxed fit" jeans and now wear "slim fit" (and they're not tight). 0 meds, 0 health issues, lost weight and am ripped. My family and close friends have obviously noticed and have begun asking questions and making changes themselves. My dad says that I'm in much better shape than men half my age- and those who don't know my age think I'm about 20 years younger than I am. P.S.- my new lifestyle proves that it *is* possible to evict those stubborn "love handles". 👍👍

After eating only meat for a few months, i lost 60 pounds, my breathing was perfect and i stopped taking any medication without even realizing it. My skin healed and was clear like i was 20 years old again. After some time i chose one day a week to eat whatever i wanted and still had no effects. No doubt it will work for most people. I believe it will reverse disease and cure dementia. Im sorry to say i couldnt get my mother to try it and shes not with us anymore. Thats the hard part of the diet , is to actually do it. Food is more addictive than heroin.
I've been doing carnivore and have noticed that I no longer get sleepy while driving at work. I used to have to pee every 30 minutes or so and defecate 4-6 times a day. Down to every few hours, and once a day. My eczema has cleared up, and the chronic discomfort in my scalp is gone. I'm not weighing myself but I feel like I look leaner in the mirror after a couple of weeks. When you mentally go from "i'm starving, must eat" while eating white rice, potatoes, pasta all have been a daily staple, to "cool, that fish or steak in the searing pan looks like its full of nutes and fats, can't wait to have all that inside of me". That's the carnivore diet to me. It also helps to only eat the big meal(s) every other day, and moderate amounts of non-starchy carbs in between. We still require carbs to function properly, but it should be kept at a minimum.
When on a carnivore diet, isn’t it important to eat the organs too? Instead of the supplements? Like for example instead of taking vitamin A and iron supplements you just eat the liver.
I think so and the reasoning I follow is that fatty cuts of beef like chuck or ground w/e are all very high in zinc. Copper and zinc are supposed to be balanced in the body just like omega 3 and 6 are supposed to be balanced. Beef by itself has very little copper and a shitton of zinc, thus eating only beef will throw you Z/C ratio off and you can look up all the evidence that has demonstrated the significantly better health outcomes of people who have a balanced zinc to copper ratio. Plants and shellfish are high in copper, and organs are too. Thus whenever people justify their meat only diet by pointing to the Inuit, it's important to remember that these bad ass nomads ate the whole animal, thus getting plenty of copper from the organs they included in their diet. Eating only fatty cuts of beef without anything else will throw off your Z/C ratio and when that gets thrown off your liver cannot get rid of all the iron in the beef you're eating (I credit Frank Tufano for this info). However, eating liver every day for copper isn't ideal because of how much vitamin A is in liver. Although you could balance all that vitamin A if you ate an adequate amount of foods high in vitamin D3. An excess of vitamin A will deplete your vitamin D stores unless you have plenty of vitamin D3 in your diet, which can come from sun or fatty fish, or shellfish. Shellfish really are the key because lobster is extremely high in copper. But lobster is expensive. I buy live whole lobster from asian markets now for 15$ and throw the poor fella in the boiling pot. But I've also started eating some plants for copper and eating fatty fish like mackerel in addition to the meat because fish has a balanced copper and zinc ratio, unlike beef
Saffron haha I know there’s certain organs that taste good, I was saying that in general, something like liver or pancreas would taste bad. I love tacos dé tripa or sesos.
Vegetables are designed to contain toxins because they dont want to be eaten. If it wasn't for the severe genetic engineering that humans had done to these plants we would have very few vegetables that would be edible.
@You Wish I'm just saying that plants cant run so they only have chemical toxins for defense. Animals can run so they dont necessarily have to use toxic chemicals. Yes some animals are toxic as well, but like vegetables, we shouldn't eat those.
I'm seventy two and although I never really took any notice, you've made me realise something. I used to lay about after a meal years ago, watch TV or read a book until I got the energy to get up and do somthing. I was much younger then. Now I jump up and clean up the dishes, etc., immediatly after I've eaten. I'm always finding things to do. I have the energy I never had when I was twenty years younger.
Take out wheat, dairy, alcohol, and caffeine. You’ll feel like a million dollars, more focused, not crashing. I’ve tried all the diets. This is what worked for me.130 pounds down
DavidKFZ , coffee and alcohol put your body in a stimulated or crash cycle. This makes you have the munchies more. This is why I took it out. I don’t count sugars. But I do try to eat fruit rather than actual sugar. I fast 12 hours a day and eat fruit and veg between meals
@@DavidKFZ Black coffee not only suppresses appetite, but increases metabolic rate. However, it dehydrates you (try adding Himalayan salt for minerals). Coffee + carnivore diet does not make you crash, I survive on it all day (decaf after 2nd cup). With everything else, 100% spot on based on my experience.

Good on you my man, keep it up. Im 3 weeks in myself and have dropped 12 pounds down to 254. Youre showing a ton of mental fortitude to take on this battle. Most people at your weight have already given up. You inspire.
I have actually struggled with my weight my entire life. When I started a diet this time I weighed in at 611 lbs. I've been on the diet for about 7 weeks now. I have lost down to 549 lbs so far. I've been using a combination of the Atkins diet with intermediate fasting and it seems to be working pretty good right now.

Keto reversed all my skin issues within days. Pure carnivore for days at a time, when it feels right. Never any bowel issues. All signs of bad nail fungus that I'd had for a half century totally gone in 7 months.
I'm on my third time doing the carnivore diet. All 30 days. Can confirm the diarrhea is crazy and the first few days are like a mild detox feeling, but damn, everything gets better. Weight goes down, pain from inflammation goes away, and allergic reactions disappear. I had this terrible dry scalp issue for months, way worse than any regular dandruff you've experienced. One week on the diet and it's virtually done. Like Joe, I can't comment on the long term affects, but the short term are life changing.
Get a cereal bowl 🥣 fill it with anything you want. It can't be heaped above the rim lol. That's your only meal for the day. Eat it in one sitting or five it doesn't matter. Come back to me and tell me you have not lost any weight😉
I did this exact same diet starting this past New Years. No to very low carb meat and eggs diet. I was 245 lbs. at 6'-0". By my birthday in the second wk of May, I weighed 195 lbs. I'm at 190 lbs now at Labor Day. Had many back surgeries over the yrs and have 2 steel rods and 6 screws in my lower back. Lived in pain most of my life and now, back pain was reduced by 40-50%. More energy, less pain and great sleeping. Oh yeah, I look and feel good. This diet works. Never hungry at all but you have to be strict on keeping your carb intake under 10 grams a day. Also I want to note that I only drank water for the 1st 5 months. Always loved milk. Like Joe said, once you hit the 2 wk mark, friggin weight from fat comes off super fast. Total weight loss= 55 lbs with about 7 more to go.
10-14 is when ketosis typical kicks in for humans, thats the body converting its own fat into the omegas and carbs it needs to survive, more clarity as its a purer omegas mode specifically for the human body by the human body
Lost 90lbs in a year from keto and still going- it’s whatever works for you, whatever makes you feel good. Try it all, and don’t be shame into anything
... Keto is so bad for you... Never should be done for more than 1 month. It's a starter diet. It's great for quick weight loss then needs to be substituted with a moderate diet.
Lego i don’t even do Keto but how can you say that? Keto is essentially the diet that humans lived off of until the last few hundred years at the least (yes there are exceptions)... meat, plants, slight amounts of fruit
Keto is only a safe diet if you are morbidly obese. If you are simply overweight you SHOULD NOT do keto. The long terms negative effects it has on your body outweighs the benefits. Joe has been dieting professionally for decades; he knows what he's doing, normal people do not.

I do have a cup of black coffee in the morning. I cook just about everything I'm bacon fat. So good! I'll tell you what, if I can do this, anyone can!!!
I am 61 years old and was 314 lbs. I began the carnivore diet strictly to alleviate pain and inflammation from Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. After finding out that the medication (methotrexate) was killing my liver, I chose the carnivore diet. Met with my rheumatologist last week and had labs done. He called to say that my liver function is back to normal range and he would not need to prescribe any medications to help with the inflammation as there were no markers showing that I had an increase in inflammation. In the last 6 weeks, I've lost 18 lbs. but I truly could care less about the weight loss as much as I care about not being in pain!
Instead of one day off what I do is I have one small treat in the evening like an Atkins bar or a keto ice cream bar both having about two net carbs. I don't have any double-blind study controls I just have a steady one person, me a 75-year-old male and it really works good for me and I really enjoy and loo forward to that sweet dessert in the evening. Lost about 60 pounds, No longer need any insulin and I really feel that I could outrun and hold my breath longer send 98% of anybody my age. And I did smoke for about 20 years and not that I keep track but it was 4:17 PM March 5, 1980, when I took my last Deep to inhale from a cigarette. My thinking is that maybe For some people just kind of a little cheat every day is better than overloading your body with a Lotta junk one day a week.
I agree. i did that one day a week cheat day, and it starts out great but can go downhill for most. What happens then is you start to look forward to that cheat day all week, to the point of obsessing over it. Then once that cheat day winds down, you start to feel depressed and dread the coming 6 days.
I don't think I've heard any bad results with this diet. My joint pain got dramatically better in two days and is getting better slowly. My gut feels so much better and I rarely have cravings for food. I'm about one month in and plan to stay on the diet. I do have a cheat day now and then, I get a large popcorn at the movies when I go (low oxalates which is a must). It's important to take electrolytes to prevent cramping.
@@draculawolfman1502 Crabs in a Bucket mentality extends past social media as well though. Sure, it's particularly prevalent online, but people do it all the time in meatspace.
I just started a modified carnivore diet (one week in). So far I'm seeing many of the benefits without any of the downside. I eat mostly what is allowed for this diet, but I will have a green salad, but they (the salads) are getting smaller every day. I think it's helping my body adjust, rather than just giving it animal products alone. Red Meat, Pork, Salmon, Sardines, Chicken/eggs, water, butter, coffee and some supplements is all I've had. If it walks, flies or swims it's on the menu. I wake up without feeling groggy or in a fog and my sleep is better. I have more clarity with my thinking and more energy. Oh, and I've lost about 9lbs in about 6 days. I haven't had any of the GI distress others have mentioned. I also don't feel as bloated after a meal as I did before. I have arthritis, and my joints have had a decrease in pain/ache from how they normally are. By Sunday, I will be full carnivore and we'll see where it goes from there. I'm doing this in conjunction with intermittent fasting. I only eat one meal a day. If I absolutely have to have a snack, I'll eat one or two hard boiled eggs. For my one meal, I don't restrict how much I eat, but when it's pretty much all protein and fat, you fill up fast. I agree with Joe, you don't feel stuffed, you just aren't hungry anymore, that seems to be the only difference. Everyone else's experience with this might be different, but so far, I'm happy with it and it's worked for me.
@@mryan4452 I'm continuing to lose weight (23lbs) and still no GI problems. I've been lifting weights and my joints are fine. The lifting is probably why my weight loss has slowed down, because I know I've put on muscle. I'm stronger, and my sleep is still very good. I did have dinner at a friends place and had some carbs and I felt hung over the next day. It was pretty profound compared to what I've gotten used to. Two days later I was back to "normal". When I wake up in the morning, I'm AWAKE. I would recommend this diet to others with arthritis. Hey, give it a try.
@@tidefanyankee2428 thanks for the quick response! Really interesting. Probably won't give it a try, at least not yet anyhow. A true clean keto diet includes more vegetables.Half your plate should be both cooked and raw vegetables,1/4 your plate should be healthy fats like nuts and seeds, full fat yogurt, cheese, avocado ectThe other 1/4 your plare should be protein like fatty fish, chicken or grass fed meats and eggs. Intermittent fasting is also a big part of this higher fat eating program. The 16 hour fast is the cleansing phase which is very much a part of the whole thing

My doctor said to me but how do you feel, im 61 and I told him I felt better than what I did in my 40s.
Good luck in your future.
when i lost hunger it scared me. i didnot understand what was happening. how come im not hungry all the time? i got so scared i started introducing cookies to increase my appetite. it is insane how much shit carbs control out life and how big pharma lied about eggs and meat
@@mrt2895 The medical industrial complex lied about meat, eggs and butter they told everyone high carbs and it helped them make money since it made more sick people, they also tell you the sun is evil and vitamin D levels are low. I never listened to their advice, I like meat, eggs and butter my carb intake is way down now but when I did eat pasta I always had butter and cheese with it so I have always loved fat in my diet. When I was younger I used to eat box mac and cheese but I would add up to 1/2 pound of butter which is a lot more than what is called for I found without the extra butter it did not taste good.
Please receive my hug. You inspire me tremendously. I’m on day 2 as carnivore. Just had lunch and I am satisfied with my ribeye steak.

hgh is human growth hormone, one of forms of roiding, that is commonly blamed for "palumboism"-the "pregnant bodybuidler" look.

I went keto immediately (it was easy since I felt so lousy). I lost the weekend bloat in a few days. What I didn’t expect was that my crippling joint pain in my hips would disappear but that’s exactly what happened. I no longer limp. I no longer walk with a cane! As I looked into this, I found that keto and carnivore relieves inflammation, as Joe said, and it’s inflammation that caused my joint pain. I have a new life that I love and I’m never going back to junk food because I never want to have that pain again.

Marcus Borg because organs taste like shit lmao
@@nicovalenzuela4044??? Organs taste great if you know how to cook. Try pig heart or cow brain tacos.
Saffron haha I know there’s certain organs that taste good, I was saying that in general, something like liver or pancreas would taste bad. I love tacos dé tripa or sesos.

Joe "I'm sure vegetables aren't bad for you" Rogan
Also his favorite veg.... Human Growth Hormone
I cant believe be said that lmao
Lol just listened to that part
This is what worked for me.130 pounds down
San Francisco Love what about black coffee, zero sugars? People who fast often use it as a meal replacement, thoughts?
Drink a lot of water in the morning. Some people have the same effect doing that as a 12oz coffee in the morning.
black coffee makes me less hungry imo

Keto reversed all my skin issues within days. Pure carnivore for days at a time, when it feels right. Never any bowel issues. All signs of bad nail fungus that I'd had for a half century totally gone in 7 months.
what sort of skin issues did you have?
Jordan peterson is smiling watching this
I'm on my third time doing the carnivore diet.
What about the dietary fibre? Does pooping become an issue?
@@ajinkyakale830 Pooping was not an issue. You just end up pooping less.

You.will.if you eat your 3 meals a week, then you will lose weight
I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t in pain until about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been on the diet for 9 months.
10-14 is when ketosis typical kicks in for humans, thats the body converting its own fat into the omegas and carbs it needs to survive, more clarity as its a purer omegas mode specifically for the human body by the human body

Swear people will cheat anything rather than do the hard work just know you’ll gain it back if you’re not even working out smh

Great subject Joe. I’m a healthy active 65 on a keto eating plan for a year because I have arthritis. I have less inflammation in my hands but my cholesterol and blood pressure skyrocketed to dangerous levels. I’m adjusting to a low carb no sugar Mediterranean diet and taking meds temporarily to help bring my cholesterol and blood pressure back to healthy levels. Something for older people to be aware of.

Amen God is good . Keep up the good work!
Yea that will def help psychologically to keep eating healthier.
I agree! Thanks for sharing sir.
I agree. i did that one day a week cheat day, and it starts out great but can go downhill for most.

Sadly, most people are "crabs in a bucket" when you improve yourself with a serious weight loss.
If you cherry-pick from social media, yeah, it looks that way.
@@draculawolfman1502 Crabs in a Bucket mentality extends past social media as well though. Sure, it's particularly prevalent online, but people do it all the time in meatspace.
I go for the "inverse crab" approach - bring in snacks for your co-workers; that way they get fatter and you look good in comparison.
Crabs can't get out of a bucket. It's more of a shallow cooking tray.
Some people are attracted to BBWs , but whatever.
Can you provide an update please? Thanks!
