Great Idea! I drink 2 cups (16 ounces) of organic bone broth every day.. I add in 2 scoops of Beef Gelitin Powder to each cup.. + 1 tbs of butter each cup. Warm it up.. It's a super yummy way to get some extra protein every day. However.. you are correct.. most every store bought broth I've seen, has been made with celery, peppers, onions.. and while they're strained out.. there is still some residule component, all be it fairly small. The Beef Gelitin Powder does create a light thickness to the Broth.. I'd still like to try making it from bones.. and get that gelatinous yummy stuff.
Thank you so much for this video... I've been carnivore for over a year now and love my bone broth, but I'd always been curious if there was a better way...I found your video and OMG, it's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for the video, I never thought to keep reusing the beef bones for another batch. I save my raw bones from steaks like t-bones and porterhouse as I cut the raw meat into strips and dehydrate them for 2.5 hours at 167○. When I make bone broth I roast the bones, butcher bones, 10 chicken feet, ox tails and a shank at 400• FOR 30 MIinutes. I place them in my huge 8 quart crock pot add salt, 2 tablespoons ACV and filtered water to cover. I sometimes add beef tendons too. I cook on low for 24-36 hours on LOW. I've heard of people making weekly bone broth and I thought WTH? THIS is how you make weekly bone broth!!! I had the roasting step but I've always been told to blanch them first which makes the whole process a giant PITA! I bet the blanch step is for conventional bones to 'leach out impurities'. I'm on a mission to find grassfed bones now because that looks amazing! I love how 'creamy' it looks at the end. That is a full win - thank you!!
I’ve never blanched…and mine is always thick and delicious! I now make it and freeze it in silicone cupcake molds and store in a giant ziplock in the freezer. I don’t keep any in the fridge now-it’s so convenient to reheat a few cubes as needed 😀 Also try this soup: Bone broth, any old leftover meat in the fridge (ham/steak/sausage/ground beef-whatever you’ve got) and cube or shred and add chopped eggs, top with pork rinds and then if you do dairy, top with cheese and stick under the broiler to let it melt and brown! It’s like French onion soup and the pork rinds make the cheese float and crisp! Yum! I dont do dairy often but on occasion I do in this soup! 😆
@@StevenSteph Oh my gosh, that sounds like heaven! I love the French onion soup twist. I freeze mine in souper cubes. @@StevenSteph - I got the backs from a farmer that came to a local fair. He said they are pasture raised, but not certified. And you are correct about the feet, they can be hard to find. I did some research and saw a lady who called Instantpot directly for cooking instructions for the bone broth. They said two hours on low. I may call them myself and get a full explanation because I would have done the same as you, three hours on high. I did hear from someone else say that the high heat for extended periods can break down the collagen, not sure if that's true. (I guess low setting runs around 180 degrees and high around 230 degrees).

Steph if you have trouble finding chicken feet go to any "neighborhood" butcher (i.e. not a normal grocery just straight up butcher), OR if you have farmers that sell organic eggs, and chickens, they will have them, or your local Spanish grocery for sure will have them.

Thank you for this great tip!. I usually make my bone broth with chicken carcass overnight in my crockpot, using a chopped onion and 1/4 cup ACV, and plenty of salt. It never gets gelatinous, though. I’ve got an Instapot and I’m going to try it your way by roasting the bones first.
Most Asian market/Grocery stores have chicken and duck feet, you might want to give them a try , if there are any in your area and see if they carry them. 😊
Hey that’s what they make “jello” out of its the meat gelatin so eating it cold and jellyie seems ok just a bit of a difference from strawberry jello to beef jello 😂
Hey! Just a tip you can typically find chicken feet at ethnic grocery stores. If you have a Latin, Caribbean or African grocery store near you then they should have them. I am Haitian, so I always end up having to go to the ethnic grocery store when I am making certain dishes and I have always seen chicken feet at Latin, Caribbean and African grocery stores.

Steph, our Walmart here in Ohio has them, the Chicken feet, in the chicken section where the livers and gizzards are. I roast chicken gizzards in the air fryer for my dog, and give her the chicken feet raw. Much healthier treats for her. Have you tried chicken livers? They're pretty good, they have a milder flavor than beef liver.
I just buy my chicken feet at the grocery store, but I live in California in an area with a heavy Hispanic presence, so it's very common to see them in the meat section.

@StevenSteph It really is not as bad as I thought. My husband is having the runs but not the hurry up kind. Mine lasted 2 days. I am grateful to you guys for sharing things you find and from where. My husband is having cheese and mushroom cravings. He says it is getting less every day. I have to use a little bit of herbs. Only one I have grown myself and just a couple of different ones. We both have lost weight. I feel good at this point, and he is getting better every day. Thank you.
I’m making bone broth tonight. I thought my husband bought me the bigger bones with marrow, but he bought me neck bones. Let’s see how it goes. I’ll experiment on them then.
Wholefoods has chicken feet in a small freezer by the meat counter. I’ve bought them for my dog and they are gross but guess I’m going to get some for me😳🤔👍and WFM also has chicken backs and chicken necks that would be good for soup😄 FYI to everyone- the raw chicken feet, necks and raw marrow bones are great to give your dog or cat but after they are cooked, not suitable for the 4 legged family members.

I don’t keep any in the fridge now-it’s so convenient to reheat a few cubes as needed 😀
Also try this soup:
Bone broth, any old leftover meat in the fridge (ham/steak/sausage/ground beef-whatever you’ve got) and cube or shred and add chopped eggs, top with pork rinds and then if you do dairy, top with cheese and stick under the broiler to let it melt and brown!
I found those grass fed bones at our Sprouts market so I'm excited to make a batch this weekend. I'm so precious about my bone broth. If I can make it every weekend easy, I might just drink it! Thanks so much!
@@StevenSteph OMGosh... I'm sooo making this. I MISS my FOS!
Roasting the bones is not a secret😅
😂
I have never heard of it so ...
Your husband is hilarious! He was worth the price of admission. LOL
😂❤
When you make wings... add the wing tips to your bone sack too. I have made stock with just wing tips.
Good idea thanks 😊
@StevenSteph Maybe you could take the soft bones and meaty bits, and about a cup of broth, and use a small high-speed blender to purée the solids 🤔
Brilliant!! I made bone broth onetime from a chicken carcass and ended up eating the bones they were so soft. My sister thought I lost my mind. I like yours version of blending them and adding to broth. Thanks for a great video👍
Glad you liked it Mary thanks for watching
Science with food, is always fun to watch.
I imagine when dieting like carnivore where you are limited to what you eat. you begin to experimenting.
That was hilarious when you gave him a spoonful. Haha. Cracked me up
My Mom taught me how to make chicken soup from scratch. She always used marrow bones, so delicious, mouth is watering 😋! Joan
Good job Steph! I don't think I can handle making it. Some stuff I just can't see the process or I can't consume it.🙈
You did awesome, I usually blend the entire thing to emulsify the fat into the broth, and I do the same with bones use the crumbly bits!!!
Nice!!! It’s how I’m going to make it from now on! 💃🏼💃🏼
Best bone broth ever, hot, cold doesn’t matter deeeelish🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Wow.....that looks so good. I totally doing it too. Love your video❤
I just bought 40 pounds of chicken backs to last awhile for making mine.
Oh good idea!! Where’d you get backs? That’s awesome!
@kelperdude We can get Chicken, heads and feet packs, quite easily in South Africa, especially in the poorer suburbs. We call them Walkie Talkies😂
Love your personality, so easy to watch!
That looks so great, so much goodness in there
I made chicken bone broth and as I strained it I chewed up the bones. They were delicious.
Mom used to pressure cook chicken for us kids and we ate the bones!
You can get chicken feet at most Walmarts. You can have them sent to your local Walmart for pickup if they don't carry them
I found them since! Asian grocery store has them all the time pretty cheap 💃🏼💃🏼
@@StevenSteph awesome! I just picked some up today. I'm glad your video was somehow in my feed yesterday. I've been thinking about trying making it again because I haven't had good luck in the past . Thanks so much .
Love your Ninja method. It contains the mess of roasting and pressure cooking to one pot. Suggest using an immersion blender to blend the bits.
I do have one! That’s a good idea!
Hey Steph! I just ordered a Ninja Foodie from your link! It said there was only one left! Will be so excited too get it! I'm a new Carnivorite only about a week. I've lost 5 lbs already! Thanks for sharing your informative video. I've just roasted my bones will be cooking them in my instant pot until I get my Foodie!
Oh my gosh!! Yaaaay!! I’m excited you’ve got the same machine! You’re gonna loooooove it! You can share good recipes with me! 😆😆😆
I’ve always been squeamish over animal parts so i became vegetarian two years ago now but I’ve found your broth making fascinating.
Nothing weird about this.
This is how i made bone broth before I was on carnivore even.
So good.
I like your pot....
I think it's my next purchase. Thanks
Steph if you have trouble finding chicken feet go to any "neighborhood" butcher (i.e. not a normal grocery just straight up butcher), OR if you have farmers that sell organic eggs, and chickens, they will have them, or your local Spanish grocery for sure will have them.
I’m so glad you shared the way you do your bone broth, I’m going to try it.. I’ve been wanting to for a while. I just wish my husband wasn’t so weird about different kinds of food or textures.. I’ll let you know if he tries it with me when I do mine..Thank you for sharing....
Make his less sandy 😆 to begin with but for sure he will like it it’s very flavorful! Even if you just made soup with it he won’t know and it’s delicious!
Get chicken feet at an Asian supermarket / grocery store, or if you live in Texas near an H-E-B grocery store, they carry them also
I put Pork Rinds in my Bone Broth and they kind of take on the texture of noodles.
Oh wow!!! We’ve got to try that!! How fun thank you!!!
Thank you for this awesome video, I have the confidence to try it now. Have a beautiful day. Enjoy the broth. Mmmm
Your smile makes me smile, and I wish we could be friends in real life, LOL
Aww that’s so sweet thank you! 👯
Most Asian market/Grocery stores have chicken and duck feet, you might want to give them a try , if there are any in your area and see if they carry them. 😊
Good idea! We have a big Asian market store I’ll go check! Thank you!!
You can find chicken feet, pig feet and cow feet at Vallarta’s or other Mexican markets. They all add so much good stuff to your bone broth.
Thanks for the info ❤
Around here chicken feet are labled 'chicken paws'.
They are usually found in the frozen meat cases.
I noticed on the bottom of your metal Colendar
There was all kinds of thick goodies on the Bottom
Take a peek at it the next time.
You might want to scrape that in there too,
it looked good.
Just trying to be helpful
👍❤️
I did don’t you worry! 😆😆
That's the way I last made it. I subscribed because of the last part...your update. Lol.
Chicken feet can be found in the following stores: Asian markets, Spanish/Latin supermarkets, I have also found them at the Walmart (but NOT always).
Thank you for the tips.
Buy Tendon and add it to your pot. Super good.
I get beef tendons at an Asian market. I usually boil them for 10 minutes then add them to my crockpot with roasted bones
wow steph you have lost alot of weight
LOL no I haven’t! I lost more on AIP…and I am not that low. I lost about 7lbs on carnivore right when we first started and only one since so it’s not much actually! Mostly inflammation I think. I think it’s my hair 😆
@@StevenSteph You really have lost alot of weight Steph the skin on your upper arms is bunching and your head looks huge now, just saying I hope you see it.
@@MatildaW-rg4nl Yes I agree, and she keeps deleting my comment mentioning how thin she looks...
you look beautiful Steph I meant your weight loss in a nice way I wish I could loss 7 lbs but i dont like meat and have allergies to most food including sugars
@josielucio1932 meat aversion improves over time. At least it did for me. The longer I stay carnivore the more I find meat delicious.
Oh wow!!! Ours doesn’t! Maybe I need to ask! 😆 thank you!!
I just buy my chicken feet at the grocery store, but I live in California in an area with a heavy Hispanic presence, so it's very common to see them in the meat section.
Tyfs. Love this video. Some Walmart do stock chicken feet. Our’s have them. Need to check it.
Hi from the UK 🇬🇧 absolutely love all your videos and Steph, your energy and enthusiasm for life is infectious! However...your carnivore stuff is seriously making me want to go vegetarian!🤣🤣🤣 EYL 🥰
Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
I really enjoy all the info. It has helped us out since we have just started about a week and a half ago. We are doing good to this point.
Woohooo that is so awesome!!! Keep us posted! You’re in that crazy poop detox stage still! 😆 power through! It’s gonna get reallly easy soon! ❤️
@StevenSteph
It really is not as bad as I thought. Thank you.
The definition of true "bone" broth!
I’m making bone broth tonight. I thought my husband bought me the bigger bones with marrow, but he bought me neck bones. Let’s see how it goes. I’ll experiment on them then.
Wholefoods has chicken feet in a small freezer by the meat counter. I’ve bought them for my dog and they are gross but guess I’m going to get some for me😳🤔👍and WFM also has chicken backs and chicken necks that would be good for soup😄
FYI to everyone- the raw chicken feet, necks and raw marrow bones are great to give your dog or cat but after they are cooked, not suitable for the 4 legged family members.
If you have a Mexican grocery store near you, you can find the chicken feet there, along with turkey necks etc.
It’s July 13th (24)I came across this great video. So helpful. You’re my idol. I love your real approach to this carnivore lifestyle. You’re killing it. I love all you do. Thanks and keep making videos!!!😊
Thank you for the kind words Susan 🙏❤️
You guys are hysterical! Thanks for the great bone broth recipe.
😂 Our pleasure, Glad you liked it.
