Day 334 of carnivore. Lifesaving. I'm also down 81 pounds. I'm back to my 21 year old weight as a 51 year old bloke. Crazy. I had to throw my clothes out twice the past year. A big shout out to Dr Chaffee. He's the real deal. Cheers for the podcast, fellas.

@@juliecollinsphotofilm1927 I have never got tired of it, I am mostly beef and lamb. Some seafood, dairy as a condiment, eggs, butter, some pork, some dark chicken. I use different Redmonds smoked salts. I am pretty creative so I never get bored. I realize it seems impossible, however tastes and desires really change. Also you learn real hunger and your body will tell you easily when you are finished. The whole idea of what and when and how becomes very simple and satisfying. I am 13 months in...no going back,

I almost didn’t recognize Dr. Chaffee 😃 He is a young person to begin with, but he seems to be reverse aging! Carnivore could be the so-called “fountain of youth” ☺️
Frankly, practically every testimonial I’ve seen shows the person looking more youthful after implementing the proper human diet for at least 90 days (and not just because they are losing weight in many instances).
It is likely because the diet helps repair mitochondria, thus facilitating healing on many levels 😊

That’s a great idea but you might have to look at another Dr.
Dr Ben Bikman is the expert on those things. He has explained that women’s cells need 40% more fat than men’s cells. It explains why the buff men in the Carnivore community don’t need butter but the women do. I myself find that if I don’t eat enough butter I don’t lose the weight. I eat fatty meat just like the men AND put butter on top to make a sauce.

Going carnivore changed my life - the neuropathy, which was the finally straw that made me seek another WOE, is 100% gone, I’ve experienced significant fat loss, arthritis is gone, plantar fasciitis is completely gone, Morton’s neuroma is gone (except when I wear a particular show, and then it’s barely there), and so much more. Been doing carinvore since the tail end of january 2023. Very clearly the superior diet for me. There's no doubt about it when judging it on my daily experience. Had been experimenting with diet for close to 10 years before looking for the diet that gave me most well-being with a focus on mental health and mental focus. Keto was a big improvement and did variations on that for years. Last 2 years of keto I did the Gundry style which avoids the more damaging plants and uses lots lots of olive oil. Gundry's rhetoric did get me to think more about the damaging potnetial of eating plant foods and the diet agreed with me pretty well. Exploring his ideas probably accelerated my carnivore epxeriment which I'd been wanting to try for a few years but which I kept putting it off.
I recommend folks to try it for a month, or even just a week or two if a month seems daunting. Hell you can start with a few days. Most people notice some significant improvements pretty early; especially if you're suffering from what is called by many "Irritable bowel syndrome" but which ought to be called as dr Baker has said "you're eating the wrong damn food". Yeah you're bowels gonna get irriated when you shove irritants in there. No S. When you throw sand in your eyes and rub it in you'll get irritable eyes syndrome. Don't bother stopping with the sand just get some medication because that's scientific, right?

It is hard watching younger people fall off the diet because their "why" isn't really there - but get to 30-40, that pain we accumulate, be it knee or shoulder or even mental clarity is a binary reminder. I guess enjoy youth, carnivore is a tool you can bring out more easily later when the "why" becomes bigger as you age

Now both that and my decades-long lactose intolerance have both resolved! I think it resolved after a year on carnivore. Now, I have been on carnivore for 21 months and have resolved and improved over 40 issues. I think the amino acids in the complete proteins, the fat, the cholesterol, and the nutrients help get our bodies operating the way they need to.

First of all try using a back massage along the vagus nerve through your chest when you are having a flare. It helps me a lot! I still cannot do bone broth or aged meats but after 6 months eating mostly meat, other triggers have improved. On the flip side, now I notice how much tomatoes and peppers flare it if I happen to sneak one. So I agree that I think it resolves over time. I keep most of my meat in the freezer and only thaw overnight in the fridge if absolutely necessary. I dunno if any of that is helpful but mostly just showing solidarity here.
