My favorite variation of this I used to do: Play CTF as Cloak and Dagger spy. Enemy team needs a sentry nest. Enter enemy intel and hide in the corner invisible. Spam voice lines as you disguise as other classes. Every once in awhile maybe sap one building just to really let him know you're there. Repeat.

Only bully old players, don't bully fresh installs or you hurt the game itself. We want new players to stay in this game.
i've been following tf2 for over 5 years, i've always wanted to play but the amount of ownage that happens to new players keeps me from ever hitting install, on top of the skill cap and everything else you need to learn. it's really not worth sinking months of trying to learn at this point when you're up against so many different factors.

Wow, this movie was great. The Back-line Butcher learned his lesson on being toxic by getting trolled himself. Awesome turn of events, I rate this movie 5/5 fish sticks.
No matter how much I work on my aim, if a spy is focusing me like this, I can't do shit as sniper. Like sure I will quickscope him once in a 1v1 and taunt, but as you said, it becomes shit for everyone. Funny as fuck when it happens to someone else LOL

This is the saddest character arc I’ve ever seen
"bill nye" was absolutely a fresh install. Not only how he played but also the fact that he switch to spy after being killed by it twice. He was probably thinking, after he got killed, that the spy was the best class and wanted to play it.

Yeah, you can see him show a little remorse and caution throughout the video when he starts checking his targets and seeing they're new on Steam. I believe this was on Valve casual, but it might have been a better idea to do this on a community server like Uncletopia where players have higher hour counts and aren't likely to take this experience as badly.

Yeah, had something like this happen to me the first time I tried TF2, I gave up on the game for two years and it was by sheer chance I even picked up the game again.
If you discuise as a friendly heavy on your own team then be friendly and then backstab people for extra funni

Sometimes I wonder if the scout schadenfreude or the spy schadenfreude is more annoying.
On one hand, spies can be incredibly annoying to die to.
On the other hand, scout.
And this is the reason I stopped playing TF2. Don't get me wrong, it's not because there's anything wrong with playing spy and killing the obvious easy or worthwhile targets.
The reason was that way too many spies mains become toxic about it, the entire verbal spam, emote spam and gloating is what ruined TF2 for me. It's literally just bullying and fishing for a reaction.

The proper cyberbullying from spy happened a good few years ago, when you disguised and typed in the chat, the chat would appear as if it was coming from that person.
Now this glitch only lasted a few weeks, and boy did I have so much FN FUN with it.

A good spy will make you so paranoid you start chasing teammates to make sure they arent him
You should disguise as a heavy on your team, take out your fists, and pretend to be a friendly. Then when the enemies let their guard down around you, you strike and backstab them all
I recommend not doing this as it makes it so nobody can trust friendlies.

So you're the reason I quit TF2 for a few months
You did this all wrong. Don't pick on the newbies, it's just sad for everyone involved. Pick on the guy with $1000 worth of gear on him (or the closest you can get). When they start getting paranoid, stop attempting to backstab them. Instead, do spy call outs on them while invis, decloak and immediately recloak near them. Let them know you are _right there_ without giving them the chance to kill you. Eventually they'll start to ignore all this bullying, and then BAM! that's when you really come out of cloak and floor them. Bonus points if you can decloak on top of their head to do it.
Backing Butcher be like, "No non non non, we don't kill the player around here. We have standards. We, kill *The Player*."
So, you're right about the premise being toxic (just a little), but it is a funny idea, so long as you aren't bullying new players as you said. Your goal is to frustrate them and make them paranoid, not end their TF2 career.
Overall, I like the idea of elmaxo Spy trolling. Maybe don't bring _this_ character back, but I think there's definitely more trolling to be had with the sneaky Frenchman.
I'll be honest, as far as live commentaries go, I'm happy to watch you do just about anything, so long as you're having fun. Don't feel like you have to shoehorn yourself into overly specific/niche gimmicks going forward :)

Instead of bullying i like to think of this as forcing the player to learn how to deal with certain things, i mainly play demo and iv had so many instances of new players picking scout and suiciding into a sticky trap on top of intelligence thats been captured, over and over and over this gibbus scout walks onto the stickies that are in plain sight next to intel that has 3 ememis next to it, so about 5 times this scout did this, i just hope he figures it out, it was obviously a kid so i wish him the best of luck

He explained, like, 5 times why he’s disguising as Ally players and I still don’t really get it.
You can see an outline of players through walls when you spawn, so if they see a friendly Scout waiting awkwardly outside the spawn door, they will probably spycheck you.
