That "some reason" is called game sense. Spy lives and dies through understanding of the game and which fights you can take.
He's got truckloads of that, accumulated over tens of thousands of hours spent in-game

@@fnutek3720 but spy relies on it more than the others, soldiers can get out of a bad situation they put themselves in more easily than a spy can because he has both more damage and better mobility, and i say this as someone who pretty much only plays soldier

I'm not saying b4nny is good at spy specifically. I am saying he's so good at TF2 that no matter what he uses he ends up very successful.
One thing i learned while playing spy is to take the opportunity’s for a backstab and dont stick around too much, and the more i do that the better i got at choosing the right target.

spy is not useful in 6v6 ever especially in a pro matches.. spy is only good on 12v12 with so many things going. In the end, spy is a fun class for casual gameplay even at on pro matches too but that's only 12v12.
@@assassin7250 You've never seen an invite-level fscout offclass switch to spy to drop a med with full ad, have you? He's not as good as sniper on most maps for an offclass, but can definitely be useful under certain circumstances.

Don't get greedy.
Don't stay uncloaked with a disguise near enemy spawn for extended periods of time. Players that are not braindead WILL see you through walls via spawn wallhack and hunt you down.
Don't try to take on multiple players at once.
