One of the best tips I learned from Dane is when building a sneaky turret have it face a wall. This gives people just enough time to walk too far past a corner. Once they realize they're being shot by a level 2 sentry (the ultimate sneaky turret) it's too late to go back.
only works if they don't hear the sentry tho. If they do they will spot it before being shot at. (That being said, non-turned sentry is as obvious for them anyway)

Ikr? Sadly, it's pretty rare for the team to actually help engie a lot of the time. There's been so many times where I'll have a great tele up for half the match, but only like 2 people actually use it.
Jag is actually one of the best wrenches. The faster swing speed allows for faster set up, and if equipped with the Rescue Ranger, you can negate the downside of repair speed. It’s great for defense when you’re getting rolled and need a sentry up fast
When you return to tf2 after years of not playing it and all the UA-camrs you used to watch don’t make tf2 vids anymore... but then you find a nice and well made channel like this... things could be worse :)
This makes me nostalgic, I mained engineer for years playing just like this. Haven’t played in years, but this definitely gives me the itch. I especially loved doing this on koth maps. What I learned? A bad sentry spot is an amazing sentry spot for the first two kills, then you move. Level 3 guns are a trap, the extra ~second of deploy time isn’t worth the rocket damage. Fight with your sentry, don’t tank your gun. Even better when you’re flanking the enemy with your gun. Carrying your gun is overrated, often it’s just better to rebuild somewhere else. The difference between this and ninjaneering is constantly moving your gun. The only feeling better than catching your opponent off guard with a weird sentry spot is catching them off guard AGAIN by moving your gun slightly to catch them where they think they’ll be safe.
Good to see you play on the infamous Sydney Servers as well, I've actually seen and played with [][]Hungry Femboy[][] and DangerousDpad before. Look out for a mate called Donno, that's me!

The engineer has the same DPS and health as a scout. I've always played him this way actually, it's like playing scout except if your enemies ignore this massive gun you're building they die.
Not QUITE the same DPS as scout. Since the scout's scattergun has higher ramp up, he can get up to 105 damage at point blank, as opposed to engi's max of 90 per shot. There are very few scenarios where this matters, but hey. Potentially 3 shotting a heavy instead of needing a critical 4th shot.
Elmaxo constantly saying he needs to get angry is making me forget that this isn’t a fatmagic video. speaking of, this video is totally a shotgun default taunt
When I still played years ago I loved doing this… offensive engineering is super fun. Get a really clever spot and use yourself as bait and you can get a few easy kills before having to look for another spot.
I like playing aggressive engie with meta-ish holding spots and then the texan is so far away from the machine getting frags and once it gets sapped or damaged I use my eureka effect and teleport back, fix everything, slightly move my builds so the enemy doesn't know where they are anymore, rinse and repeat

I think it's best to spam mini sentries and always abandon them. I've basically tried what you are doing. It's okay, but not always as effective as being actually even more aggressive, or a distraction to them, and also using the mini. I like to get a few shotgun hits to bait people to chase me, and then I have a sentry behind the rock or wall that they walk past so they get mowed down. Works best on scouts.

I love being aggressive while having a Funny Sentry. Usually I just place a Level 1 down somewhere, and noone expects it and/or they get too overzealous and die or get weakened fir the rest of the team to kill. I did some Funny Sentrying non Well CTF, ecently, actually, but then it ended up with me making bases in the other team's water and causing them to be afraid of water.
If you want to use that badwater ninjaneering sort of spot my recommendation is: Place the teleporter near blue's initial spot once the spawn moves up, it'll take longer for blue to find it. Second, put a dispenser on the stairway to block/slow spies coming in, disguised spies can't walk through your buildings so they need to walk around it making it very easy to two shot them. Lastly, put the sentry a bit further to the right so it can start shooting at enemies before they can jump over the guard railing, the knockback will be angled downwards making it hard to get over the rails.
Man ive been doing this for years, most fun ive had in my life. Ive found that the jag, pistol, and shotgun are most fun combo, but thats just me. I sometimes use minis but I find they die too fast compared to my usual level 2.
