Tried these tips out at the local yesterday, started with the body position and the drawing the crescent with my foot, and within 5 mins was landing them every try.

Tried putting my popping foot in the back pocket for fakie bigspins and it works! They pop to the moon now. Could never pop them before. It also works for me with regular big spins, but for that one I'm still wondering how people pop them so well from the front pocket. Mine just scoop hard and dont pop well from front pocket
