    This is exactly how I learned how to impossible when I was in middle school. Learn Pressure flip > 1 foot on the ground impossible > Fast plant impossible > impossible. I haven't skated in 20 years, and I hopped on a board at work and could still do it!

    Learned these last night. I'm 46 and I've wanted to do them since I was a teenager, never got around to it. Saw myself doing it perfectly in a dream a few days ago. Dreams can come true folks. If anyone's having difficulty I'd recommend either learning or at least working on pressure flips first to get the idea that your back foot has to push down near the truck and get under the board, then learning impossibles on a really smooth surface. It just didn't seem to work on a rough surface.

    The Plan B Sean Sheffey "Troll" board. I'll never forget that sound...it was only a week old or something. Best board I ever had, if only briefly.

    Hey Jonny!
    Your teaching video helped me how to scoop the Board in the right way.
    I injured my ankle really worst and after recovering i forgot erverything about that trick. Before my injury, i had really really nice Impossibles.
    It's one of my favorit tricks on a board.
    Today i watched your lesson again and the camera angle from behind while you are doing the trick in standing position, helps me so much.
    It shows me perfeclty, how i can scoop the board without leaving when its rotate.
    I saw, you scoop it inwards AND when you got the scoop, you jump with it a little bit forward.
    That was the key for me and i thank you so so much for your effort!
    My Favorit skater of all the time !

  • @johnfurlough674
    @johnfurlough674 4 роки тому

    I do them old school where you kind of pressure impossible. You put your back foot in the pocket with toes hanging over and front foot on front corner with just the ball right behind your big toe. Put a lot of pressure and just pop off your front foot and board will wrap itself with just a little scoop. The funny thing is you can do one footed 360 with same setup by rotating your shoulders and following with your body. The rotation prevents the board from wrapping, but it stays with your back foot.

    Biggest secret I feel is to delay lifting up your leg. People are accustomed to popping motions. Meaning pressing down hard and releasing quickly. But with the impossible you pop the tail but keep it pressed on the ground for a little split second then proceed to do the lifting after scooping in.

      just accidentally landed an impossible while trying pressure flip =))
      so try pressure flips, they'll help with that hard push-down motion

    This trick is driving me absolutely insane. I’ve been trying to land it for over a month-A MONTH!-and I’ve got nothing to show for it. Not even close. I’m doing all the steps, every single try, right up to the point of committing, but I just can’t wrap it when actually committing. I can land tricks that are way harder, like tre flips, switch flips, nollie flips, hardflips-you name it, I’ve been doing them for years. Over a decade of skating and this one trick has me losing my mind. I can’t sleep, I can’t think, it’s all I care about. I’ve snapped two boards in a complete frenzy after hours-HOURS-of trying and failing. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever land it, if it’s even possible for me. I’ve never struggled this hard with anything, and now I’m even losing my rail and ledge tricks because I’m obsessed with landing an impossible. I’m spending at least an hour every day-sometimes more-just trying, trying, TRYING, and nothing works. NOTHING!

      Well I just figured it out a bit more, u wanna start it as a pressure flip so ur foot can get under the board and then start that scoop and just a very different motion then any other trick jus gotta use da pressure flip to help u and 3 shuvs would help as well cuz it’s da same thing jus a lil different position
