Impossible is one of those tricks that non flippers can do I swear 😂 my boy is AMAZING at Impossibles & Pressures. He does them 99% of the time nice AF & super high but can’t do too many flips out side of kickflip & tre flips, no heels or anything else. Its weird how some people get them no problem & as for me, I can do tons of kickflip & heelflip variations but can’t figure out impossibles for the life of me
Do absolutely nothing with your front foot just focus on circle motion with the back leg, make sure you lift the back knee up high to give it room to wrap proper, and lean back
It’s funny you posted this! I’ve been skating for over 10 years and can do most normal flat ground tricks but just tried learning impossibles recently. I can do them no comply just fine but when I actually try to impossible My muscle memory always has me trying to get my back foot out of the way like a tre flip. I have such a hard time trying to force it to stay and guide the board around.
To my thinking, pressure flips, pop shove its, and impossibles belong in a single family of tricks. Pressure tricks. Nice trick tip. Thorough. The thing I don’t like about landing too far forward is that if you miss by a little it puts your ankle in danger.
Anyone thats struggling with this trick i ll give the biggest hack to it that unfortunately most trick tip tutoriales dont say i dont know why it sounds kind obvious but since the impossible is its own unique trick and theres no popping involved but scooping it can kind get confusing on how to wrap it with out your foot coming off basically practice scooping the board on the floor until it becomes second nature i then recommend learning no comply impossibles to the point where you get the feeling of the scoop not leaving your foot after that start trying the impossible and heres the hack when scooping just leave your scooping foot still and on the ground for as long as possible and when its time to catch it put your front foot down just leave that back foot still its counter intuitive and its cause most tricks you quickly release the backfoot so thats why most people cant figure out the scoop i dont know why most of the tutorials dont say this good luck hope this helps the also the scoop is foward not to the side it you do it to the side the 3 shuv will be more frequent
@@offtheline-x8w you re right you have to jump pretty high, another thing i noticed to have a more consisent impossible is to make sure to lean the board with your back foot towards the ground and make sure to get that pressure flip feeling scraping the floor basically this trick is still a pain tbh but following those tips you should get it
I always end up either doing a 360 shove or impossible, so having my foot in the pocket might help, I will try that and see if it improves them. thanks!
Yo Cory, this is a great tutorial thank you! Love this channel. I have a kinda goofy question if you even get the chance to read this. I have forever been curious about your grib tape work... is that clear mob or something on the nose? Does the clear tape hold up for you?
At 4:18 it looks like u essentially start a tre flip and then mute the flip with your back foot. That's an eye-opener, I'd just been thinking your footing setup matched tres
Almost like a 360 flip without the flip from the front foot . I think Iv done a few , didn't know what to call it lol . Definitely wrapped around my back foot . My friend said it looked cool as hell lol . Was sick as when I did it floaty as and stomped it .
Let’s be honest fellas…it’s a pressure flip. It’s. All scoop no pop no flick. But that doesn’t make it a bad trick. Pressure flips are cool again so p. Flip away!
Great comprehensive, long-form tutorial here. Well-explained and well-demonstrated. Thanks!

Did you figure it out yet the hardest part for me is getting my front foot back on

Late answer but clear mob holds up well and I don't personally feel a grip difference between the clear and black

Is the wrap motion slow and gentle 👀?

football helps skaters because coordination is key understanding how to use you feet and physics to your advantage
yo I can only get the foot that scoops to stay on the board what do I do??
One of the most elegant tricks. Thanks!
Can you break down a front foot impossible for the next video.
that was way too informative and I enjoyed it thoroughly
No tape nose.... Interesting 🤔 I've put so much car paint and wood varnish on my board it's like ice both ends 😅
front foot impossible?
You can make it do a full flip. That is the proper way to impossible.
