Mike, thanks for the vast variety of topics you address! Not only do you run an A class group of guests, you also hit on subject matter that has personally helped me slow down and think some of the things out that I struggle with. PTSD, prior cop , lots of specialized training ( SWAT) and many regrets/ troubled memories. I’m learning to push forward in a more positive way rather than dwell on what I wish I’d done differently. And this is credited to you , and the guests you choose, whom I have much in common. Inspirational to me, more than you’ll ever realize. Thank you sir....

One of the best interviews done by Jack Carr! Laying out school preparation for SEALs, life in Teams, role of preparation developed in career, how experiences factor in his books! Fans will love this video interview, it explains so much in the books. Savage Son by far the best!!

Another great podcast. I do like the variety of guests that you interview and the research prior that you do Mr. Ritland. Plus the fact that each interview is not rushed. Jack Carr was most interesting in that he has identified at a very early age his passions and made professions out of both. We should all be so insightful and motivated.

1:11:09 "That was the testing of drugs, that had side effects that weren't anticipated, that had people in the government, in the financial sector, and the pharmaceutical industry have to cover up what they'd done in testing these drugs on a troop of SEALs. So that's where the conspiracy comes in." - Jack Carr
It's not merely a fictional conspiracy, it actually happened to us, even as late as the '90s.
More recently it has been found that mefloquine, which many in the military were given to prevent Malaria, can cause brain damage and PTSD like symptoms.

While doing a stint I filed a civil law suit against the CDCR for medical deliberate indifference indirectly I filed another suit with the state. Well the superior ct. judge took it upon himself to notify me that since I was in prison as far as he was concerned I had no rights and dismissed my state suit pissed off as hell I filed an answer "abuse of discretion" against this particular judge in the appeals court the judgement was reversed and the three judge panel found this superior ct judge abused his discretion but more like violated my rights in my eyes but since the decision could be reversed it was only abuse of discretion. But I had no attorney and needed to get it together if I was gonna prove the prison system was in shambles at a federal level. Long story short the state settled out of court. But if you don't stand up for the constitution the government's will use it only when convenient. Power in the wrong hands is dangerous. Great show Mike take care.

0:22 “The consolidation of power at the federal level in the guise of public safety is a national trend and should be guarded against at all costs. This erosion of rights, however incremental, is the slow death of freedom. We have reached a point where the power of the federal government is such that they can essentially target anyone of their choosing. Recent allegations that government agencies may have targeted political opponents should alarm all Americans, regardless of party affiliation. Revisionist views of the Constitution by opportunistic politicians and unelected judges with agendas that reinterpret the Bill of Rights to take power away from the people and consolidate it at the federal level threaten the core principles of the Republic. As a free people, keeping federal power in check is something that should be of concern to us all. The fundamental value of freedom is what sets us apart from the rest of the world. We are citizens, not subjects, and we must stay ever vigilant that we remain so.” - Jack Carr

*YO BROTHER, WORD....Hey listen, Mike, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...I'd love to hear one of the SOF vet guests (i do NOT care in what context whatsoever, or their politics, and if it's a frog like Carr? COOL! Frogs are alright...I get it, nobody knows much about 'em these days and that they got some books out etc jk) HOWEVER! I'd love to hear some dudes from "Green"/a Unit old salt maybe, or someone from their SIGINT/HUMINT brothers outta N.Virginia lol, yadda yadda yadda, I just wanna hear a fresh perspective on Ukraine/the whole Sea of Azov crap going down. PLEASE? Bro, we hear about Syria (OIR) and Africa/Mali or Niger etc etc, but I'd like to hear some more introspective thoughts about whats happening there in the Baltics. Hell, the AW/GROM vets I've met don't say much but you run a podcast.....PLEASE see if you can squeeze one in for me? I'd appreciate this more than you could imagine, as no one's covering it? Idk why....We hittin' China this week, so....ya know?*
