Motivational... even for us ladies. Thank you for the workout advice at the beginning. And I always love the straight shooter talks. God bless you guys and thank you for protecting us....very much appreciated.
Great podcast! Can you please do a podcast or cover the topic of daily “problems” that happens durning BUD/S training, like how often people fuck up, how often people throw up in workouts, sickness/ illnesses spreading and the ways to help fight off the illnesses, tips and tricks to stay a step ahead, Anything that is not normally thought of when someone thinks of SEAL training.
Outstanding Interview Mike and Jeff, I listened to the entire podcast. Jeff’s coming into NC to teach his “Concealed Carry Tactics” class, and I’m looking forward to it. Thanks for the solid interview.
Love to see these "experienced" dudes still getting after it in fitness.....… "what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” -Socrates
Having taken two classes with Jeff now, I can honestly say that the standards he spoke about are no B.S. the only ones like it in all of the training classes out there. The first class I took had me changing up my gear, gun and caliber of choice as well as the frequency of practicing (Dry and Live Fire) to try to get to the high standards set in his courses. Highly recommend finding a way to get to one of his classes and showing up with an open mind and no ego.
I dont care how negative the tone may get some times on your show it will never make me lose my respect for the special op's community and for you mike. My Hanai brother and sons serve the special warfare center etc. my nephew is with SWCC it was an honor to be allowed to go to the graduation the seals were so respectful im an ex con but shouldve been an operator like my brother Ive trained like you guy's myself my whole life and been blessed to train with a few of the elite from your world that made me a better man. I'm 53 now and still ride a Harley and still considered an outlaw but have always left my door open for y'all. take care Braddah. Kekoa Dukieboy.
Mike, a little late, but I just watched this. I went through Airborne School with Jeff (I was Army). I remember him. Great guy. Always wondered what happened that guy. Good to see he's doing good. Once, I remember he and the other SEALs were going to steal the big Ranger tab they used to carry around with them during Airborne School. I wanted to help. He told me I couldn't help for obvious reasons....Another time he and I were jawing around at the PLF tower and a black hat tried smoking us for it....lesson learned never get smoked with a Navy SEAL. It hurts....a lot. Anyways...30 yrs later I remember...made an impression for sure.
Jason Beim it’s Poseidon’s trident. Look up Navy SEAL’s trident and what the symbols stand for and you’ll see the same spear/trident. Just please don’t go around telling folks you’re a SEAL if you end up with a tattoo of Poseidon’s trident/spear. Very, very, very few men have that honor! Mr. Ritland happens to be one of them.
Mike first off love ur podcasts!!Nothing better then hearing REAL MEN discuss great topics!!Mike n Jeff, wait till u guys hit 60!!x NFL 6 year vet n ncaa track athlete. My experience with the aging process n training is this....lift every other day n mountain bike.but that's it.doing things ur body's not a custom to doing.my two cents....anythings possible 315 squat last December PR!!Mike keep up the great work stud!!!
I live in the Texas part of California. And if you look at our crime rates are almost non-existent because of the CCW percentage of population. Great podcasts as usual.
Any chance of you reaching out to Senior Chief Don Shipley and seeing if he'll come on the podcast? Im sure you probably already have his contact info but if not I can msg you his cell #. I love listening to the older and younger seals shoot the shit. Don has alot of interesting shit going on to talk about from calling out phonies and running his charity (Warriors Rest) a hunting retreat for wounded vets and there families on the Eastern shore.
Don Shipley is awesome. I don't agree with his decision to put his phony seal videos behind a paywall though. I get how tough it is to make money on youtube, but publicly calling them out in front of everyone was the whole point. Now he only calls them out in front of the die hard fans that pay 10 bucks a month as a member. It makes it easier for the fakers to get away with it.
PLEASE get a Green Beret on the podcast (besides Tim Kennedy lol) I know they’re hurting for recruits rn and I just need to know wtf kinda job they do and what the SF personality/perspective is like...torn between joining the Navy or Army rn really could use the insight. Kick ass podcast!
I need his class. I have a license but not comfortable with a gun. Why don't they make you take a test before they give you that license..it makes no sense? I do hope to learn more that is why I go the license.
Post workout you need carbs to replenish glycogen. At this point and probably the only point during the day, simple sugars are extremely beneficial. For a 200 + pound male, 50-100 mg of sugar depending on loss of fluids can quickly replenish glycogen and speed up recovery. If you fail to replenish glycogen by taking in a decent amount of carbs after a hard workout, you will not retain your pump for very long, and that full round look that indicatea a positive nitrogen balance, full hydration and muscles capable of producing quality contractile force considering the damage caused by the workout will be compromised prolonging recovery and giving the body a flat depleted appearance absent carb replenishment after a hard workout. keto diets are great for fat burning but shitty for maximizing performance. Put a powerlifter, wrestler or triathlete on a keto diet and see how they perform day to day.
I really appreciate Jeff facing the camera. I feel like he is also talking/addressing me. It’s much more personal. Would be great if you rearrange the room so you (Mike) and your guests face the camera.
When I first started watching this, I thought the guests all had lost their legs in combat. Because of that odd wheelchair looking chair they all sit in. That was an odd choice.
Eat meat. Really. Eat. Meat. Fuck vegetables, fuck lettuce/spinach/chard etc etc. and also avoid seed oils (don’t eat out) .. and you don’t have to hit some ‘ceiling’ at 50.
Craig Mack Do dat come in a 6 or 8 pack box arrangement that I can scoop up from the local 7/11 Or is that the ‘special stores’ that will require an I.D. check...?
The most laughter (Gonzales) I've heard in any MIKE DROP podcast! Thank you SEAL's!
Another wonderful guest. I can’t wait for the next podcast.
Love your comment Jeff Gonzales. Thanks for supporting NRA. You’re amazingly fast. I’ve watched your drill posted at Trident Concepts. Nice range
Speaking of CrossFit..: would be nice to get Josh Bridges on here... former Navy SEAL, CrossFit games athlete and all around GOOD dude.
Awesome podcast . I could listen to Jeff all day long . Funny and informative. Great speaker
Good to see you both today. Keep it up.
Motivational... even for us ladies. Thank you for the workout advice at the beginning. And I always love the straight shooter talks. God bless you guys and thank you for protecting us....very much appreciated.

Another great guest, love the stories and background.
This has been your best podcast yet! Outstanding!

If you could get Master Chief Herchel Davis you'd go down in history for the most bad ass seal podcast to ever grace the planet 😎
Did he ever do this 🤔
Would like to see a video of your workouts Mike
Working on something!! Thank you for your support!

Hooyah! First one here. I love the podcast Mr. Ritland!
Such a badass podcast!
Great interview...
Great topics, very informative podcast fellas. Thanks 🇺🇸.
Keep the Mic Drops coming! Any chance you can go into detail on your tattoos? The spear on you right arm is bad ass!

Damn Fine Day for a MIKE DROP.........Damn Fine Day....
Now to listen and learn....
Haven't finished the video yet so you might cover it, but what knife is that sitting up front?
My good friend and former Navy SEAL teammate Sh9edgeworks.com makes them.
Why am I never going to get details on team ops down in Panama?
Mike, love your show brother. Let's discuss that knife on the desk. Second time I've seen it. Brand? Thanks
Made by a good friend and teammate. Sh9 Edgeworks
Have you had Jocko on the podcast yet? Id love to hear your intro on him.
Does anyone recall which brand(s) Jeff recommended for compression/joint braces? I believe it was him on this podcast.
1.) Defend 2.) 2 Times U 3.) CEP - those are the 3 brands mentioned by Jeff Nichols on a separate Mike Drop.
Check out inside the team room Green Berets.

2:46:47 Mike goes on an epic rant. Could not have said it better myself!
it is not illegal to mfg a gun. its not even illegal to not serialize said gun in some states. if so 80% receivers wouldn't be as popular as they are
Is Mike drinking “FABULOSO’?! The number one Mexican cleaning product ever?!
Haha! Pedialyte.
God bless our boys over seas I aspire to be one of you!
Zee Durham or Karl Erickson
Dude! Jeff’s comment on socialism....hell fucking yes!

Mike, have you had Cedar Ridge bourbon from Swisher Iowa? I would be glad to send you a bottle
Mike, have you ever been to Iron Works?
Speedy? Was that the same guy as mentioned by Pete Blaber in his book?
Kick ass podcast

Smurf crew?! Lol jk, great interview! Love every Podcast Mike! Excellent guests! Hooah!🙌🙌👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Jeff needs to run for a Senate seat. The money from organizations that endorse him is there, not to mention the donations that would pour in.
I’m here for the guest, the host, but most importantly... the fucking introductions.
Can I get an amen 🙏
AYE MIKE!
No good bourbon is made outside of Kentucky...just sayin.

Drowning the belly grumbles with H2O works.
That drink is so purple or pink
Jeff sounds very squared away, except for his Office Space references. 🤣
