I was actually going to say the same thing. His demons finally won out. It's always sad when a true warrior takes his own life. I wish I knew him and could have convinced him to live. But instead I saw this episode in my feed and I decided to come here and pay my respects. His story is amazing! And he will always be remembered from this interview, the interview with his Shawn Ryan, and all the other ones he did. May he rest in peace with God.

Robert Olguin What is your point? You think if there’s a breakdown of civil order these guys are gonna sit back and watch? And don’t kid yourself, when they took out UBL, they lamented that the negative was they probably had secured Obama’s re-election. Other than maybe the sycophantic McRaven, they were not happy about that. They’ll follow orders, but if a civil conflict over the douchbag behavior of the left happens, and the left are the ones promising it if Trump is re-elected, you know which side they’ll come down on.

I was one of the Dr.’s at NNMC Bethesda when he came in. I was always humbled to treat these men whether at NNMC or WRAMC(now closed due to BRAC). I can honestly say whenever a code blue was called on any warrior at NNMC Bethesda or WRAMC, as a Doctor I ran at a dead sprint and fought at their bedside or the head of their bed in the operating room with everything I had to save these honorable warriors. My peers also gave everything they had. I was infected from a casualty while fighting to stop a common carotid bleed at the bedside of one gravely wounded warrior after the clot on his right main carotid artery gave way while the Surgical ICU nurse was changing his dressing. I didn’t have time to put on me PPE or he would have exsanguinated in the SICU. The infection made me severely septic, I nearly died and I nearly lost 19 feet of small intestine. Since then I have nearly died 5 times, suffered a heart attack, liver and kidney failure AND I wasn’t shot 27 times and still fighting with just a sidearm against two rifle armed cowards!!! I was just fighting to stop a potentially fatal bleed. Even though my life has changed and I can no longer work as a Doctor, it was worth it because the young man/warrior lived. This senior NCO SEAL deserves the gratitude of ALL Americans!! As do ALL the families of those who died, and those who were wounded and fought for our country!!! I worked for nearly ten years to save the lives of the gravely wounded and I CAN’T say enough positive good things about these men! Though the words are hollow after all you have been through, I thank you Chief for your service and wish you Godspeed and the best life has to offer you-YOU HAVE EARNED IT!
Still haunted by the deaths of hero’s we couldn’t save.

Hearing all Mike went through as a child, then what he survived really makes one think, “Hell, I have absolutely nothing to complain about!” Perhaps it’s just nerves, but Mike definitely seems to be battling some demons. And I 100% understand why. This man made it through so much in his 50 years of life so far. As much else as there is that I’d like to say, especially having been devastated by finding out about Mike’s death and that, selfishly, I’ll never have the chance to meet Mr. Day:
After finally finding and listening to this interview, I’ve decided I’m frickin going to pick up where Mike left off and get to as many of those ancient sites as I can, in his name and honor; F all the bs.
Thank you, to Mike Day, for your time and influence, here in this realm; may the universe bless you with peace.
And, thank you, Mike Ritland, for getting Mr. Day on your show and blessing us by helping share his story, personality and overall chill disposition/demeanor.
As a couple great warriors told me in the past: “We need good guys here too.”
Stick it out… breathe - deeply and calmly… and take care, all.
This time will pass… and it can and it will get better… make short and long goals and focus on them.
    Namasté, homies, for real. 😓🤙🏽

From what I heard, 50 cent got shot with a .22; pussy. This beast of a man took 16 penetrating rounds and an additional 11 rounds to his body armor. I say this with all possible respect, Mike Day is such a bad ass, he got a vasectomy via AK47. This man should never have to buy a drink for the rest of his life. I wish I was a rich man, I'd buy this guy a truck, a gun, anything he wants.

@Fidel Cashflow You assume I am white because I don't look up to 50 cent. Tell you the truth, I don't give a damn about the man. If it was a 9, then ok. I just heard differently. Shows how much I give a shit, I couldn't care enough to research it on my own. But you are right, according to Wikipedia that is. But to look up to a person for what he has done in his life and what he has gone through, I look up to people like this man, Mike Day, not someone like 50 Cent.
