Maybe I'm showing my age but when I was younger, a visit to the doctor included a close examination of the patient. The doctor looked into my ears and eyes with lighted instrument, looked dowm my throat using a tongue depressor, checked heartbeat with a stethoscope as well as having a good look at the face and hands. Nowadays, the GP stands across the room behind a computer keyboard and asks questions. Seems to me doctors can miss a lot with this hands off approach. Anyone else notice this too? Is this how modern doctors are now trained?

Dr. Berg is so awesome. My daughter went to a college having major COVID-19 financial problems/after 1 year she went into psychosis and had a mental breakdown. I've heard of this stuff, but to actually experience it was unlike anything before. Did the doctors help??NO. They put her on all these crazy drugs making everything worse. I pulled her out of the college and followed Dr. Bergs teachings and I'm telling you; it's so true. What you put into your body matters. She is on a slow path to herself again. Her multivitamin didn''t have zinc in it; she ate way too many carbs. And after 2 months of the roller coaster, I could tell she's starting to come back to her old self. Less carbs, more fish, multivitamin a must. It's incredible to see the difference.

My wellness journey started 15 years ago, everything you are saying is true, when I took out carbs and sugars my PCOS reversed and I was able to get pregnant and my face cleared up. My OBGYN only recommended birth control, never once mentioned changing my diet, she also told me I would probably never have children and walked out of the room leaving me with a prescription for birth control pills that I never took. I am currently on a low arginine diet to keep cold sore outbreaks down. I would get 7 or 8 a month sometimes, now I get 2 a YEAR. I no longer consume any nuts, seeds, quinoa, blueberries, oranges, cucumbers, raisins, granola, oatmeal, wheat germ, nut butters, black tea. All of those foods are considered healthy but my body was going crazy every time I ate those foods. My glands would swell and I was in a constant state of feeling like I was catching a cold all my life. These foods also affected my ears and I would get ear infections yearly. I am a natural stressor so while I do believe that stress affects cold sore outbreaks, my outbreaks seem to be tied primarily to those foods. It has been 5 years on a low arginine and it is working. An employee at the health food store in my area mentioned not eating nuts to me because of my constant cold like symptoms. I went home that day and researched and took all of those foods out of my diet and my life changed. I rarely catch a cold now, when I do the duration is short and my symptoms are manageable. I was already thin so when I took out the nuts and nut butters I lost 7 pounds that I have not been able to get back, I have learned how to use hypertrophy and flexing to my advantage and build muscle so I don't look as thin. I appreciate this knowledge. Cheers to you!

"a lot of auto-immune diseases are caused by losses"
That is exactly my experience. When my mother was dying, I got a bad fever that just didn't go away, and had terribly red eyes. Doctors, even in a hospital, didn't ask me what was going on in my personal life and just prescribed antibiotics. It turns out I had an Iritis (inflammation of my eye's iris) caused by an auto-immune disorder -- my body was treating my eyes as a foreign object, and was attacking my irises. I would have gone blind if one eye doctor hadn't at some point figured it out. A few doses of cortizone, and I was good again, but the experience was unsettling.

Autoimmune disease comes from vaccine injury which triggers the body's immune response to fight the virus inside the vaccine, but instead the body turns on itself and attacks another part of the body.
      Hashimotos is an Autoimmune disease.
I used to have this and have healed from it with diet, flouride free water, supplements like selenium and iodine, vit d, and sunlight. And no more vaccines ever. Not for you and not for any of your children because it runs in genes of families. My mother also had the same disease. Many people with this go undiagnosed and just think they are having trouble losing weight or feeling tired or having lower heart rate, blood pressure, constipation, slower menstrual cycles, etc.

Thanks for sharing these 18 things, Dr. Berg. At 7:52 you said, "What's the best probiotic? Sauerkraut because...." In my opinion, it's important to point out the difference between fermented sauerkraut (which contains probiotics and is what you're referring to, I think) found in your grocer's refrigerated section, and sauerkraut found on grocery store shelves (at room temperature). The highest probiotic count is found in sauerkraut batches you can make at home because it is fermented longer - but it's important to use proper methods.

Over the course of my life, people would say that to me, as if I could prevent them. I started using concealer, and no more comments. But it does make you feel like shite when someone says that to you, when you’re not tired or sick at all.

If you look tetracycline up in the PDR it says this is one of the results from overuse but we didn’t know this till much later and too late. Excellent info. Having been trained in Europe as a holistic esthetician, I also learned how to “read the face” and have seen much success with omega-3s for blackheads(in addition to vitamin D) Too much omega-6/bad oils/ refined carbs/sugar do not allow the sebum to flow freely; therefore, the sebum is very thick and sticky. Sebum not only is the skin’s natural moisturizer, but it also clears the follicles(what people call pores) of naturally shedding skin cells and toxin containing sweat by coming up and out onto the surface of the skin(especially at night). If sticky, then a clog will form. Sweating is also very good for the skin if cleansed immediately after. Omega3s will also help to balance hormones that are off because of bad diet or menopause. Or I should say- lack of enough omega3s can cause hormones to go out of whack..

Thank you I have been getting these clogged pores on my cheeks that do not pop now I scared my cheeks trying to pick at them I have stopped doing that since it's not a whitehead or blackhead I was sweating alot while cleaning and I feel very oily and yucky afterwards. Eating snacks like cookies and I was drinking alot of caffeine with sugar and milk. Plus I'm 44 years old and I didn't have a period for 9 months then just like that it came back. I tried telling my dr over the phone our new way of appointments but he had no answers at all. I asked if I should try vitamins and supplements he didn't even ask for blood work. So I'm going to find another dr to help with my eyes being dry and clogged pores on my eye lids and cheeks. The eyes I think it's my sinuses but my skin I never had a pimple now I have scaring on both cheeks and hyperpigmentation. I had to stop facial acids they were burning my skin I just got over antibiotics for sinuses. Back to the sugar I knew I was eating too much of it but I didn't think it would cause my skin to produce a thick oily residue from my pores. Which caused the whiteheads and blackheads to form.

She swore on a stack of Bibles that diet had nothing to do with acne (this was the early 80's). I cleaned up my diet cause I wanted more of a defined stomach. I noticed my acne improved. I then started reading health books from the health food store. I realized doctors know what they learned in school, which isn't always correct. Hahaha. Insulin resistant/PCOS here, once I went on basic intermittent fasting I stopped having cold sores,I used to have them so bad it would spread and make my whole mouth/lips swollen for weeks I would need antibiotics,2 years been fasting anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day and haven't had a cold sore ever since, you are so right to point out that all these issues are linked, just lower your carb consumption and eat only 4-8 hours a day and you will see all these issues dissapear. I also take D3/Omega3/Zinc/Magnesium especially when it's winter, when everyone around me vaccinated and still had bad case covid with full flu symptoms all I got was fatigue and migraine for 3 days and haven't been sick for these 2 years,I wouldn't even know I had covid if not for my family members ALL getting sick and all my workplace getting sick. My mom probably had the mildest covid too because I bought her D3/Zinc/Omega3 knowing everyone will get sick.

But fast forward to 2020 around May maybe my hand joints were all in pain sharp pain that would just pulsate for weeks it didn't calm down after 2 months but the the pain would transfer to other joints each month my wrist ankles elbows hips and shoulders it was an on set pain but sadly when I went to the doctor they did assume rheumatoid so got blood test done and nope my rheumatoid factors and ccp were normal lvls so they couldn't do anything about it they just told me that I'm just stressing to much take a vacation etc. So my joint pain comes and goes it is not as bad as 2020 and I did another test last year same thing. But last year I got hit hard with unknown symptoms I was having an irritation in my left and right hamstring a muscle on my forearm that helps lift my ring finger and the same muscle from my forearm but on my leg I felt fatigued exhausted fast heartbeat muscle weakness, a burning sensation in my muscle it knocked me out for 4 months I was just at home going through a mental breakdown thinking I had possibly ALS it suddenly went away but the muscles that were affected I feel them kinda weaker then my right counter parts and it could be nerve damage. My blood test were normal I had low vitamin d 10% lower then normal but that's probably because I stay away from sunlight. Now it's almost May of this year and I'm kind of worried what may happen this year. Because I'm seeing a pattern from previous years Im getting hit in spring time. Wish I knew what's going on.

Sprinkle pumpkin seeds on salads, soup, avoid all processed foods and sugar, drink lots of water, spearmint tea, green tea, regular 8 hrs sleep per night, keep stress levels low. Try to keep weight down as fat cells make problem worse. Try the natural route first but if problems persist or symptoms severe then ask for referral to endocrinologist to check hormone levels. I have had cystic acne and closed comedones since I was a teenager. I’m 32, female. I really did a number on my skin trying to get rid of it growing up, including harsh regimen products, birth control, and eventually accutane. It all all came back later in college. I’m vegan and years later decided to try no fat, no oil (including avocados, seeds, etc.). My skin was beautiful! If I’d eat even the smallest amount of avocado or a fat/oil, I’d get a pimple a couple days later, but it went away fairly fast. The closed comedones were gone and my skin was smooth! But I didn’t think it was healthy to have zero fats in my diet and so I introduced them again and am back. Maybe it isn’t the fats, but more so my body having an issue processing them. Not sure if this could relate to insulin (I obviously know nothing on this). But I’d need to study this more!
