Maybe I'm showing my age but when I was younger, a visit to the doctor included a close examination of the patient. The doctor looked into my ears and eyes with lighted instrument, looked dowm my throat using a tongue depressor, checked heartbeat with a stethoscope as well as having a good look at the face and hands. Nowadays, the GP stands across the room behind a computer keyboard and asks questions. Seems to me doctors can miss a lot with this hands off approach. Anyone else notice this too? Is this how modern doctors are now trained?
@@joannsanders242 yeah doctors aren't the same compared to back in the 90s 80s etc. Now it's like 30 seconds and then they're rushing out the door. Like seriously? New era of all professions.

Amazing and true….but round face is not from lots of snacking, around face happens when your doctor put you on drugs like prednisone and others in that category. They are probably the worst steroid you can ingest however people who just can’t handle their eczema or in my case
Healthy Keto and OMAD over last 6 months has been life changing for me. My wife passed away last July and I myself was unhealthy,. depressed and overweight. I started walking just help to clear my mind, then stated listening to Dr. Berg while walking, then while going to sleep and when I woke up. Lost 50+ lbs since then, feeling amazing and looking so much better as well. Thank you ❤️
Amazing! Congratulations, anyone who loves you is happy to see you getting healthy, what an inspiration after such a terrible loss. Bless you my friend, good going 👍🌺
I saw that a friend has an earlobe crease ( Frank's sign) and told him it could be a sign of coronary artery disease. I wasn't aware that he had been having chest pains. He went to see his doctor, who sent him to a cardiologist and my friend ended up having a triple bypass and now tells people that I saved his life!
Thanks for being a doctor who actually wants to help people with things that actually work and are essential to our well being rather than selling us a product that we become addicted to, the world needs more doctors like you.
I am wondering if doctors actually know this stuff but just don't tell you or they just don't know. Perhaps it's just a lack of interest after helping people with the same problems for years.
Kevin ,They do not have many hours of nutrition training. It's all geared to their petroleum based medical products that have DIRECT effects that lead to MORE pills. Treatment vs getting to the root of the problem.
As to " going back to Medieval times.." You are demonstrating the unfortunate ignorance of many. As a wise man once said " Let thy food be thy medicine , thy medicine thy food". Or " You are , what you eat". Nutritional deficiency is the norm now , Industrial Agriculture has stripped the soil . You must start at the foundation of nutrition for health. The allopathic system is a sickness model leading to more sickness , not cures.
Mechanics have their place , don't misunderstand. If you break a bone by all means have a " mechanic" set it . But do not forget to get enot quality protein , calcium , magnesium , etc to have the best outcome.
Since I've been on keto and intermittent fasting my Rosacea and Cold sores have really diminished 😀...also lost weight, look younger, have less joint pain, its regulated my hormones ( no more hot sweats) and my hair isn't shredding. Fabulous😍
After watching dr berf talk about symptoms of hyperthyroidism I realized I had nearly all of those symptoms! Never would I have ever thought I had hyperthyroidism yet I did Started taking iodine, selenium, magnesium, zinc, vitamin d In a matter of 3 weeks of taking above nutrients: My breathing came back Anxiety, stress waves ceased. Energy was restored Focus increased at work. Lethargy and heat waves stoped. Thank you so much dr berg!!!! U helped me and kept me out of the doctors office
Choked me up when I hear him say You wish someone had helped you out when you were a kid and given you the knowledge.. It's so true the information is there but they don't want to tell Yes these are things we should be taught in school. How you eat properly and how our body works and what vitamins to take together and what ones that you never take together. It makes it so confusing I can't even Remember it all This is so loving and kind of you to share your information freely. God bless you!
Dr. Berg is so awesome. My daughter went to a college having major COVID-19 financial problems/after 1 year she went into psychosis and had a mental breakdown. I've heard of this stuff, but to actually experience it was unlike anything before. Did the doctors help??NO. They put her on all these crazy drugs making everything worse. I pulled her out of the college and followed Dr. Bergs teachings and I'm telling you; it's so true. What you put into your body matters. She is on a slow path to herself again. Her multivitamin didn''t have zinc in it; she ate way too many carbs. And after 2 months of the roller coaster, I could tell she's starting to come back to her old self. Less carbs, more fish, multivitamin a must. It's incredible to see the difference.
Did you have her hormones checked or did she have an IUD? No need to reply just something to check if she is. I'm 34 also experiencing something of what you are describing. The cause is my hormonal IUD pumping in all these synthetic hormones exacerbating my untreated ADHD causing extreme depression and anxiety. Just throwing it out there.
I love that you start this video with the strong warning: do not diagnose others, especially your mate. And do not use his (Dr.'s) name. Bravo. People love to give advice but do not love to follow it. Wonderful video!!
My wellness journey started 15 years ago, everything you are saying is true, when I took out carbs and sugars my PCOS reversed and I was able to get pregnant and my face cleared up. My OBGYN only recommended birth control, never once mentioned changing my diet, she also told me I would probably never have children and walked out of the room leaving me with a prescription for birth control pills that I never took. I am currently on a low arginine diet to keep cold sore outbreaks down. I would get 7 or 8 a month sometimes, now I get 2 a YEAR. I no longer consume any nuts, seeds, quinoa, blueberries, oranges, cucumbers, raisins, granola, oatmeal, wheat germ, nut butters, black tea. All of those foods are considered healthy but my body was going crazy every time I ate those foods. My glands would swell and I was in a constant state of feeling like I was catching a cold all my life. These foods also affected my ears and I would get ear infections yearly. I am a natural stressor so while I do believe that stress affects cold sore outbreaks, my outbreaks seem to be tied primarily to those foods. It has been 5 years on a low arginine and it is working. An employee at the health food store in my area mentioned not eating nuts to me because of my constant cold like symptoms. I went home that day and researched and took all of those foods out of my diet and my life changed. I rarely catch a cold now, when I do the duration is short and my symptoms are manageable. I was already thin so when I took out the nuts and nut butters I lost 7 pounds that I have not been able to get back, I have learned how to use hypertrophy and flexing to my advantage and build muscle so I don't look as thin. I appreciate this knowledge. Cheers to you!
My father & brother died 4 days apart . My heart was broke, and I grieved terribly.. it’s been three years and I just got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Kidney failure, gout, pericarditis, tachycardia & thyroid trouble. Stress will kill you!!!

"a lot of auto-immune diseases are caused by losses" That is exactly my experience. When my mother was dying, I got a bad fever that just didn't go away, and had terribly red eyes. Doctors, even in a hospital, didn't ask me what was going on in my personal life and just prescribed antibiotics. It turns out I had an Iritis (inflammation of my eye's iris) caused by an auto-immune disorder -- my body was treating my eyes as a foreign object, and was attacking my irises. I would have gone blind if one eye doctor hadn't at some point figured it out. A few doses of cortizone, and I was good again, but the experience was unsettling.
Actually autoimmune conditions can be caused from severe emotional pain/abuse which could include loss - increases to cortisol from shock or sustained abuse, especially childhood trauma. Sadly, parents don't think verbal and emotional abuse to kids is bad but it becomes autoimmune disease in adulthood
I am sorry for your loss. I can hear that it is unsettling for you to have this condition with your eyes. Good to know it cleared up. Stress due to a loss can cause so many symptoms in the body. Good for you sharing your wisdom.
As a teenager, I do appreciate this video :) Some people in my family have a few of these issues and we are all looking for some way to end whatever skin problem we have. Thank you!!!
😮 wow! I have an autoimmune disease and was diagnosed right after a stressful & traumatic experience. Was not a good time in my life. Hearing you say thats what can trigger it makes so much sense to me now 🙏🏼🙌🏼
I had dissociative amnesia when my dog died. It was so strange. My doc said it was from being the hospice caregiver for my mom in 2012 and then my brother in 2016. My brain blocked the whole memory of the vet visit, going with a friend for her burial - 3 days later, at home I thought "how did I get here?"
Autoimmune disease comes from vaccine injury which triggers the body's immune response to fight the virus inside the vaccine, but instead the body turns on itself and attacks another part of the body. Hashimotos is an Autoimmune disease. I used to have this and have healed from it with diet, flouride free water, supplements like selenium and iodine, vit d, and sunlight. And no more vaccines ever. Not for you and not for any of your children because it runs in genes of families. My mother also had the same disease. Many people with this go undiagnosed and just think they are having trouble losing weight or feeling tired or having lower heart rate, blood pressure, constipation, slower menstrual cycles, etc.
We ( our family) appreciate the depth of education Dr. Berg gives, illustrations explaining and root identifying , yet delivered with a delightful simplicity we can understand. Our bodies were designed to heal themselves with proper holistic care. Learning more everyday, thank you Dr. Berg, to you and your wife and family who help you help others.
Ditto for me , SO WELL SAID he is amazing !!!!! Dr Berg is so articulate I watch him every day, if you don’t agree get off this CHANNEL, no one here believes your jealous negativity! Go away !!
Whenever I get really stressed (which is easy) I get like a virus in my body. I feel sick, without having fever. Stress is so harming. It felt good to have that confirmation from Dr Berg.
@@bluebellbell3725 You're welcome! One other note in case it helps, one of the biggest helps for me has been doing IV ozone treatments (it uses UV light and ozone on your blood to kill off pathogens and to oxygenate your blood. Lingering viruses (for me it is EBV) can keep you in that fatigued state (especially when you introduce stress) so this helps to get them out for good!). Hopefully you can find a good integrative doc in your area that offers them!!
Thanks for sharing these 18 things, Dr. Berg. At 7:52 you said, "What's the best probiotic? Sauerkraut because...." In my opinion, it's important to point out the difference between fermented sauerkraut (which contains probiotics and is what you're referring to, I think) found in your grocer's refrigerated section, and sauerkraut found on grocery store shelves (at room temperature). The highest probiotic count is found in sauerkraut batches you can make at home because it is fermented longer - but it's important to use proper methods.
Homemade sauerkraut tastes better too. For a real treat try cutting up an apple and mix it in with homemade sauerkraut. Bake or simmer on the stovetop just until the apples are soft. I like it with pork. Well-cooked pork btw. Yum.
The warning at the beginning is very true about not giving unsolicited advice or comments on people's faces. It reminds me of an in law I have. "You look tired today. Your eyes look tired with dark circles underneath." Its so rude. Especially if you are NOT feeling tired. She didn't even offer any solutions.
@@rachelarmel7547 Why do you care? - can be the question to find out the usually emotional internal motivation to react on comments from external sources. I’ve had circles since young adulthood. Over the course of my life, people would say that to me, as if I could prevent them. I started using concealer, and no more comments. But it does make you feel like shite when someone says that to you, when you’re not tired or sick at all.
Face mapping! 🙌🏼 As a person with PCOS who is also fighting years of PIH... thank you Dr. Berg. This is so true!! My endo tested me for Cushings because my levels were a tad bit off. My results came back normal, but when he asked me about the stress and my life. I told him I was born stressed! 🤣 I am a 35 yr old caregiver of my mom with mental illness, business owner, corporate worker etc.. I am busy! However, since seeing him and my results I've learned to watch, manage, and balance my hormones a little better. When I was in the hospital for chemo therapy, I began to observe that most Breast Cancer patients had experienced a huge loss within the last year (death of a spouse or a child or a beloved pet, loss of a long time job, loss of a home, etc). What all had in common, besides loss, was that they had never dealt with the loss. They just pushed it down and tried to forget about it.
Hi Lynn! Yes, got s2 breast cancer after mother passed and didn’t deal with it. Luckily, no bad side effects from chemo. 18 yrs in remission 😁 And now with DB’s videos and educating us, I know I will NEVER have cancer again!!!

I've been doing keto and fasting for 8 weeks and drinking water (moderate amounts). My skin is no longer dry. It is normal and it is looking waxy which I love. I had relatively persistent acne. Rarely cystic or painful but very stubborn (always fighting off a breakout somewhere on my face). It really diminished my confidence. I watched a similar video to this one from Dr. berg where he mentioned Zinc and omega 3 for your skin…. And wow I had no idea it would clear up like it did. Rarely get acne now only 5-6 months later. Not to mention when I brought this issue to my family doctor he prescribed me tetracycline which did nothing for me. years of suffering and insecurities all solved by one incredible doctor and a short 15 minute video. Thank you so much you’ve truly changed my life Dr. berg!
@@Ratsonfire it's a lot easier to take a omega supplement. I like the Barleans lemon flavored kind in a bottle from Costco. It is always really fresh! Old omega 3 supplement will taste fishy or cause fishy burps.
Watch out for tetracycline. My brother was prescribed it constantly for acne as a teen and through college. He developed Intestinal problems and ongoing for rest of his life which eventually led to colon cancer which died of at the young age in his early fifties. If you look tetracycline up in the PDR it says this is one of the results from overuse but we didn’t know this till much later and too late. I’m sure glyphosate is a lot of our problems now a days too. Sadly it is a financial struggle to eat organic unless you are able to grow gardens, can and freeze etc.
There is SO MUCH information in those 16 minutes - WOW! Thank you. I always get so frustrated when doctors say that your diet doesn't affect how you look and feel. And this so clearly illustrates that to be absolute utter nonsense. You're my favourite UA-cam channel :)
Totally agreed. Dr. Berg is my favourite You Tuber as well. Love his explanation & straight to the point. Thank you Dr. Berg. Regards Jannie Tan from Singapore
Medical Doctors often have zero training in nutrition, and what they don't know doesn't exist. Egos on show right there. Never referring to allied health (physio, chiro, dental, dieticians, naturopath etc) is a chronic problem. Back pain? Here have some oxy 😑.
A note about scaly skin around the nose and eyebrows, if eating more omega 3 and less omega 6 on its own doesn't help, try adding riboflavin and biotin. Those were the things that worked for me.
So happy i found your channel. You really seem like the oldschool doctors, who used to try to find a balance between allopathic and holistic medicine, still trying to read the body, still trying to first recommend a natural comeback, treatment via dieting, eating right and so on, instead of going straight for the pill. I really appreciate your work and find your videos very enlightening, hope to see many more and wish you success!
Excellent info. Having been trained in Europe as a holistic esthetician, I also learned how to “read the face” and have seen much success with omega-3s for blackheads(in addition to vitamin D) Too much omega-6/bad oils/ refined carbs/sugar do not allow the sebum to flow freely; therefore, the sebum is very thick and sticky. Sebum not only is the skin’s natural moisturizer, but it also clears the follicles(what people call pores) of naturally shedding skin cells and toxin containing sweat by coming up and out onto the surface of the skin(especially at night). If sticky, then a clog will form. Sweating is also very good for the skin if cleansed immediately after. Omega3s will also help to balance hormones that are off because of bad diet or menopause. Or I should say- lack of enough omega3s can cause hormones to go out of whack..
Thank you I have been getting these clogged pores on my cheeks that do not pop now I scared my cheeks trying to pick at them I have stopped doing that since it's not a whitehead or blackhead I was sweating alot while cleaning and I feel very oily and yucky afterwards. Eating snacks like cookies and I was drinking alot of caffeine with sugar and milk. Plus I'm 44 years old and I didn't have a period for 9 months then just like that it came back. I tried telling my dr over the phone our new way of appointments but he had no answers at all. I asked if I should try vitamins and supplements he didn't even ask for blood work. So I'm going to find another dr to help with my eyes being dry and clogged pores on my eye lids and cheeks. The eyes I think it's my sinuses but my skin I never had a pimple now I have scaring on both cheeks and hyperpigmentation. I had to stop facial acids they were burning my skin I just got over antibiotics for sinuses. Back to the sugar I knew I was eating too much of it but I didn't think it would cause my skin to produce a thick oily residue from my pores. Which caused the whiteheads and blackheads to form.

I wish I had knew you before 🤭 I learned a lot of things thanks to your videos and I can tell that I started to take care of my health seriously and all thanks to you! I stopped junk foods, started to do intermittent fasts and I'm trying to have a better diet 😁 I feel much happier and I think that's how you know you're healthy 🤗 THANK YOU please keep going 👍🏻
So right about don't give unsolicited advice. I remember in my early 20's I was seeing a dermatologist for some acne. She swore on a stack of Bibles that diet had nothing to do with acne (this was the early 80's). I cleaned up my diet cause I wanted more of a defined stomach. I noticed my acne improved. I then started reading health books from the health food store. I realized doctors know what they learned in school, which isn't always correct. Hahaha. Traditional medicine has its place but natural treatments can be very beneficial.

Never once has a Dr asked about my diet or stress in my life. Every concern resulted in a call to pharmacy. Happy to say I'm off all scripts thanks to Dr Berg and Dr Ken Berry. I can't thank them enough. ❤
Yep. I bring up issues to my doctor and he justs says 'don't worry about it.' It's not like it resolves all on its own! I'd look for a new doctor but I've been with this one for 25 years and haven't found anyone really helpful in that time.
@loverlyme it's fairly simple really, whole foods only, mostly fruits and veggies, and fermented foods. It actually is life changing. Most people need to clear the biofilm made from bad bacteria in their gut, and then fill up on good bacteria.
11:30 so true. As teenagers, we were given a lot of stuff at school, but so few of use. I wish they told more about food, psychology, jobs etc. And not just schools, parents too. As if those issues did not exist before us.

Thank you so much! For years I have had several healthproblems and no doctor could help me. Yesterday I found out what the reasons for my problems could be - and your video confirmed it now. So I now know what I have to do and how I can check up my health. This is a very great video, thank you!! (PS: Sorry for my bad English, I am from Europe ;-)).
The thing about Dr Eric Berg is that he practises what he preaches and he looks pretty damn good doesn't he? . I've been subscribing to his channel for years and he looks fabulous and full of health and vitality. What's more, watching this channel has successfully treated all my ailments. His message is all about nutrition rather than synthetic drugs and that's good enough for me.

I remember after a great loss, three close family members died in six months. I was an exhausted wreck, traumatised, sleepless, trying to use my work as medicin to not think and feel. Plus take care of the rest of the family. Ended up with Graves disease, and I got it really hard. I wish that someone would have cared that much for me that they could have taken care of some of their needs elsewhere, I was mourning to. My family broke my health, first the loss, and the rest was using me up. I never got my health back. I wish I had known about autoimmune deceases after loss back then. If I see anyone act like I did, I care enough to tell them about the cost. By the way, my eyes began to come out because of Graves. So, Dr Berg, I would appreciate if someone had said this to me. We shouldn't be so scared to say this and that, because it's love to tell! Without being a besserwisser of course. I see nothing wrong in telling people that they should see a doctor, for a check 🌹
Thank you Dr. Berg!! You're doing the Lords work with your honesty. Too many doctors out there who just give prescriptions to patients that do little to no avail. The medical industry makes millions and millions of dollars off of medication that makes a dieses worse or temporarily fixes the issue but, still has patients coming back.
My 92 year old father had a serious argument with the doctor a week ago. The doctors asked one question that ended the consultation "what is your problem". According to my father, the doctor was supposed to check him up and give him the diagnosis.
Yes, most doctors were like that nowadays. I learned more with Dr Berg, my Dr said just do what ur doing now.. I waited long time for him then about 3 - 5 minutes talking then gave me the blood work requisition. They’re always in a hurry to attend the next patients. I just look after myself well 😊
I love your education. I got rid of years of rosacia in a week when I visited Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island. I was drinking the local county water and eating two to three small papayas daily. I had tried lots of things on the mainland. No derma doc ever suggested antibiotics. I later got rid of a 30 year full forehead t bar milasma and brown face patches. Again, new locality on Oahu using only an liquified organic noni on my face and in a month no more dark brown areas so I was able to quit wearing daily concealer and foundation. I had also started to eat meats there and lost 30 pounds. I am 72 and just started to do intermittent fasting last year. My gastro issues are nearly gone. Moving into real KETO now. I could hardly believe it would work after decades of diets. Thank you for all you do.
Hi, I’m fascinated with the liquid Noni you used for your melasma. I myself suffer badly with the discolouration on both cheeks, upper lips and forehead, it has been very depressing for me. Would you kindly advise which type of Noni you used please. Thank you!
Back in the 80s we used to call that "round face" thing "moonface". Simply avoiding sugar should get rid of that in a few days. A great rule of thumb for a healthy diet is to simply minimize Flour, Sugar and Alcohol, in addition to the obvious: processed food, junk food, neon-colored and glow-in-the-dark food.
I had most of these symptoms in my 20s, and it only took me like 2 years of IF and a complete change in nutrition to have none of these issues anymore. I also stopped being ill regularly, I have like a 5 year streak going of never being ill... It is crazy how big of an impact lifestyle can have on your health, yet most people at best get some meds and leave it at that.
I have rosey cheeks, dry skin on my temples and a spotty bumpy forehead. Things I’ve done to massively improve: 1.destress 2.drink alcohol only once a week 3.quite caffeine 4. Take NAC supplement. It works very well for my skin.
Planet-based anti-inflammatory intermediate fasting diet, full of sulforaphane, vitamin c and water will make you look and feel great. I'm 39 yet look 28 with flawless skin. Dr. Bergis amazing. We would probably all be much healthier as a whole if all doctors taught their patients preventative care and wellness in general. Of course it would help if our food supply wasn't poison but nevertheless, I appreciate you Dr. Berg.
Love the disclaimer I learned my lesson years ago when I pointed out something to an ex-boyfriend that I learned from my eye doctor he did not take it well at all. another thing I had to learn the hard way is to never share my weight struggles with someone larger than me even though I was referring to my own problem I can see how it could be offensive.
I can relate to that. I do not understand how it could be offensive when all we wanted was to help them be better and healthier. I also learned to not share my knowledge or experience with anyone regardless of how close they are .
Or at least if they ask then I'll share what I've learned from Dr. Berg. I learned to share info for myself when I'm really relating the info to them. That way they can take it or leave it and won't come off as offensive. 😊
If I were to tell someone that I wanted to learn to play guitar, would I expect them to get offended because THEY think I mean that they should learn to play guitar? Hi, I'm talking about myself. Same if I say I want to drop a few pounds, no matter what size the other person is they shouldn't take that as a comment towards them.
Dr. You are right on regarding autoimmune disease following loss. I lost my only brother, younger than me, all of a sudden, in the year October 2019. What followed was an attack of psoriasis. I did have psoriasis in my early 20s but the same was in remission for nearly four decades. It struck again following the loss of my brother.
I am so blown away by how wonderfully knowledgeable you are. I want to thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. I am so greatful for these videos. I've only watched a handful but I already feel so empowered by what I've learned. I feel like through improving my diet I can begin to reverse or at least improve some issues. Thank you so much!
Insulin resistant/PCOS here, once I went on basic intermittent fasting I stopped having cold sores,I used to have them so bad it would spread and make my whole mouth/lips swollen for weeks I would need antibiotics,2 years been fasting anywhere from 16 to 20 hours a day and haven't had a cold sore ever since, you are so right to point out that all these issues are linked, just lower your carb consumption and eat only 4-8 hours a day and you will see all these issues dissapear. I also take D3/Omega3/Zinc/Magnesium especially when it's winter, when everyone around me vaccinated and still had bad case covid with full flu symptoms all I got was fatigue and migraine for 3 days and haven't been sick for these 2 years,I wouldn't even know I had covid if not for my family members ALL getting sick and all my workplace getting sick. My mom probably had the mildest covid too because I bought her D3/Zinc/Omega3 knowing everyone will get sick.
It's embarassing how I have so many of these problems and I'm literally going to make good use of them. If you have any other videos or useful tips relating to these, please do tell. Thank you Dr. Berg for this insightful video.
It's not embarrassing. A lot of us didn't have these things taught to us. It's very important and a good sign that you show interest in learning. Say nice things to your brain and you will see a true difference. Just a kind advice from a stranger which you can take or leave. Just don't put yourself down. Have a wonderful life.
I really appreciate that you put the list of symptoms and remedies along with the time stamps so we can just check out the ones we're interested in. I don't have any of these symptoms except for dry eyes, which is from Sjogren's Syndrome. In case you didn't mention it in the video, some of these symptoms could be from an underlying illness like Sjogren's.
Actually Dr.Berg I've worked in Dermatology for a while. Antibiotics are given at times for rosacea because in small/lower doses taken orally act as a mild anti inflammatory. Rosacea along with keratosis pillaris are strong indicators of sensitivities to both foods and environmental factors.

2-4 months after mum passed away I was experiencing severe pain in my elbow, hands and feet. Shortly after I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Rheumatoid Arthritis. It's so true that loss can cause health issues. Omad and a low carb diet has got it to a point where I can function like a normal person 95% of the time. It's easy to stay strict with the diet when quality of life depends on it, in a way it's a blessing in disguise. Maybe it's just mums way of making sure I look after myself while she's away.
I was diagnosed with RA a few years ago. I was in a very difficult marriage of 20 years. I’ve always suspected that the chronic stress played a huge role in the diagnosis. I started intermittent fasting, cut out sugar, all diary, gluten, started taking supplements, got a divorce, increase exercise & now working on reducing carbs. I’ve made huge progress but when I start eating the SAD my symptoms come back with a vengeance. So, I’m aware I need to be strict & consistent with my diet. I love watching videos like this & reading the comments because it encourages me to keep on.
I'm having similar issues but my stress was from covid and before covid my brother had pneumonia so I'm the type that worries about my family. But fast forward to 2020 around May maybe my hand joints were all in pain sharp pain that would just pulsate for weeks it didn't calm down after 2 months but the the pain would transfer to other joints each month my wrist ankles elbows hips and shoulders it was an on set pain but sadly when I went to the doctor they did assume rheumatoid so got blood test done and nope my rheumatoid factors and ccp were normal lvls so they couldn't do anything about it they just told me that I'm just stressing to much take a vacation etc. So my joint pain comes and goes it is not as bad as 2020 and I did another test last year same thing. But last year I got hit hard with unknown symptoms I was having an irritation in my left and right hamstring a muscle on my forearm that helps lift my ring finger and the same muscle from my forearm but on my leg I felt fatigued exhausted fast heartbeat muscle weakness, a burning sensation in my muscle it knocked me out for 4 months I was just at home going through a mental breakdown thinking I had possibly ALS it suddenly went away but the muscles that were affected I feel them kinda weaker then my right counter parts and it could be nerve damage. My blood test were normal I had low vitamin d 10% lower then normal but that's probably because I stay away from sunlight. Now it's almost May of this year and I'm kind of worried what may happen this year. Because I'm seeing a pattern from previous years Im getting hit in spring time. Wish I knew what's going on.
Hey Dr.Berg I’ve been binge watching your videos all day! I wanted to know if you could do a video on PCOS? I would love to know what supplements to take, what foods to eat and to stay away from, and how to possibly reverse having it all together
Metformin is generally used in pcos to help bring hormones down. Metformin is generally also a Case to case basis when you don’t have high blood sugars.
He does have a video, you would need to google but I think weight training and keto diet is advised. However I have mild PCOS and follow a mostly plant based diet except that I eat wild salmon and tuna for good quality protein and omega 3. Sprinkle pumpkin seeds on salads, soup, avoid all processed foods and sugar, drink lots of water, spearmint tea, green tea, regular 8 hrs sleep per night, keep stress levels low. Try to keep weight down as fat cells make problem worse. Try the natural route first but if problems persist or symptoms severe then ask for referral to endocrinologist to check hormone levels. Best wishes 💕 ps avoid drinking water from plastic bottles or microwaving food in plastic containers also
I can relate so deeply about stress. My dog got severely sick, was confined. I remember I kept on crying for days, kept thinking about him until I got covid after being fully vaccinated. Because of that, I cannot visit my dog until he died a day or two after I got covid. When I was severely stressed on the results of university transfer, I got shingles which I heard was a sickness commonly experienced by the elderly. I was 18 years old then. Too young to have it. Thank God for Dr. Berg. I really learned a lot from you. Much love from Asia.
⭐One thing I noticed from my 🐶dog... that gets bloodshot eyes . We give her canned food, with some egg (with the shell) carrot treats + ... and some sea meal added in........ As soon as I give her a frozen piece of beef liver her eyes would clear up!! Within an hour or two, every time! That was Iron. She needed more iron. ⭐ Great video.
I have had cystic acne and closed comedones since I was a teenager. I’m 32, female. I really did a number on my skin trying to get rid of it growing up, including harsh regimen products, birth control, and eventually accutane. It all all came back later in college. I’m vegan and years later decided to try no fat, no oil (including avocados, seeds, etc.). My skin was beautiful! If I’d eat even the smallest amount of avocado or a fat/oil, I’d get a pimple a couple days later, but it went away fairly fast. The closed comedones were gone and my skin was smooth! But I didn’t think it was healthy to have zero fats in my diet and so I introduced them again and am back. Maybe it isn’t the fats, but more so my body having an issue processing them. Not sure if this could relate to insulin (I obviously know nothing on this). But I’d need to study this more!
My story is so similar! Horrible cystic acne on my back and some on face and rosacea starting in high school. Probably used all the wrong stuff for my face and made the rosacea worse. Used all the typical dermatologist stuff for those conditions with no great results. Did Accutane after college and then the back acne came back in my late 20s. I have the cystic acne under control but still suffering with rosacea. Been vegan since 1997!

I live in Malta and my GP will also explain to me what is wrong and will patiently listen to my concerns..I even told him about intermittent fasting that I learnt from Dr. Berg and he said that he practices fasting too.

Insulin seems to be a major culprit....... Sugar should be illegal.
Thank you Dr berg
Its more complicated than that. Not just sugar but several other things also trigger insulin.
Fruits vegetables also have sugar
I think ADDED sugar should be phased down or phased out, for sure, cuz we all know how addicts get..
Or, you can go back to Medieval times with just herbs and food without these evil doctors and pills and see what your life expectancy is then.
As to " going back to Medieval times.."
You are demonstrating the unfortunate ignorance of many.
Fabulous😍

Should I take fish oil?
@charlie the unicorn fish oil is very good for the brain!
Hi Kim,😀 that is awesome! So glad to hear she is on the mend! Can you please share with us which multivitamin brand she is taking? Thanks!

"a lot of auto-immune diseases are caused by losses"
That is exactly my experience.
Taking vitamin d3k2 40k iu will definitely help as well.
@@peaceangel-rl2hf you are totally spot on.

Hopefully you can find a good integrative doc in your area that offers them!!
Adult acne can also come from allergies. I stopped eating onions and my entire body's skin cleared.
Yum.

Thank you so much you’ve truly changed my life Dr. berg!

Medical Doctors often have zero training in nutrition, and what they don't know doesn't exist. Egos on show right there. Never referring to allied health (physio, chiro, dental, dieticians, naturopath etc) is a chronic problem. Back pain? Here have some oxy 😑.
Let me guess, their prescription drugs do though right? "Diet doesn't affect anything but these drugs will" those fools are scammers.
Any doctor who says that should give up their medical license.Just another way of them to pump u with meds instead of healing yourself naturaly
It’s common sense that it dose , I’ve never seen a DR that’s said that.. very interesting
Cracks at the corners of the mouth, cold sores, and canker sores, can also be caused by B12 deficiency.
A note about scaly skin around the nose and eyebrows, if eating more omega 3 and less omega 6 on its own doesn't help, try adding riboflavin and biotin. Those were the things that worked for me.
Thanks. I'll try that too.
Coconut oil works wonders for cold sores too. It's antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal. Applied topically, it really helps.
I use Raw extra virgin coconut oil too for cold sores. I also used in on my little girl when she had foot and mouth and later on for chickenpox too.

@granitestater1029 I have papulopustular rosacea, not just telangiectatic, and have already tried laser.

@@zombiana Try liquid chlorophyll. Dr Berg himself said this could help
@@zombiana DMK skincare could help. (And definitely Korean brands!!) I can't believe they prescribed accutane for your rosacea!!
People often tell me about redness in the corners of my nose. I never thought it was considered serious. It makes more sense to me now. Thank you for the info.
God Bless people like you Doctor. Your knowledge and wisdom in such a vast amount of topics has been immensely helpful for me and my family. Thank you for always providing useful content that makes your followers' and their loved one's lives better.

Love ❤️Love~ what an acknowledgeable and skillful doctor! Thanks so much for your guide! ( this is what I needed🤣🤣🤣!)
Thanks Dr Need to ask or if anyone knows the difference btw Mtc and Coconut 🥥 Oil please?🙏
I just took my food sensitivity test and took out some specific foods out of my diet for two weeks and my face completely healed from bad cystic acne. I believe improving gut health is the fastest way to prevent/improve most of the skin/l and health problems.
This video was extremely informative. There were symptoms listed here that I didn't realise were related to the same problem. I've gone and ordered vitamins, as well as done some planning for a new, healthier diet!
me too!! :)
Dr. Berg... I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your content and delivery. The way you sum things up in a clear and concise way is so easy to digest (pun intended). Please keep up the good work and doing what you are doing. 🍻
My thoughts exactly. He truly is the best.🌟🌟✨✨
It's so easy to listen to him bcuz his delivery is simple but cognitive for all intellectual prowess low and high AND he's a delightfully thoughtful human being.😊
@Comfort Inn Lethbridge One of the best. There are many great thinkers each one has something special to add to the banquet. No one person can research it all! We need each other.
I like that he's more a natural remedy than what other doctors prefer.
It’s hard being healthy
And expensive .
@@julieswales7671It’s not hard or expensive…stop fucking making excuses because you can’t keep up
Yeah but definitely worth it ❤
Its harder and way more expensive to be sick.
@@GTEllie1 both are hard ok bro you happy?
I’ve had chronic pain for almost a year now. I’ve had so many Doctors stand across the room, no physical exam and ask why are you here? It’s like they aren’t even reading the charts I swear. ☹️
They are not reading!! Sounds Very familiar!!!😡
Hang in there! It’s not you, it’s them!
thank you so much for making this, I'm a teenager and I've been trying to find the causes for several of these things for ages. My skin has been one of my biggest insecurities and Ive felt as if I couldn't do anything about it. Now that I know the potential reasons I'll definitely look into correcting some of these things.

I swear I’m a roller coaster of emotions during and after your videos. 👀 I go from happy, to terrified about the truths of my health, to motivated for listening to your tips for improvement 😃🙄😳🧐😏 You are appreciated and necessary 🙏🏾💕

My husband's family is from Malta, too!
