  • William Morris inspired..Tapestry Circular travelling ring pour.. tilted.. shmears and swipe.
this is a pretty pour painting on a 16 by 16 inch Gallery wrapped canvas. I'm using Pebeo gold ...
Pebeo turquoise metallic.. Rust-Oleum luminous pear... DeSerres Mars black..
    Sargent copper and
Sennelier Abstract bronze mixed with some Sargent pearlescent mixing medium..
and of course some Golden's high flow irridescent gold.. All paints are
mixed with only with floetrol and little bit of water if necessary.
You want a mound on a mound that then disappears.. so medium thickness. I use the bronze paint as my flow extender.
    After I finished this piece..
I was taken back by how some of the details in this painting
reminded me of William Morris' tapestries.. with his Acanthus leaves
and beautiful gold greens and teals.
It is a pretty piece and already spoken for..

Your artistry is growing exponentially! When I look at each of your paintings, I wonder how anything more beautiful could be painted. But you continue to create works that are completely unforgettable! This makes a beautiful tapestry, but I can also see it as a plaster relief made by a master craftsman on the wall of a Venetian palace during the time of the Medici family. The entire painting looks like it has been aged by the thousands of candles and torches that must have passed by it every day. The areas of gold look exquisitely aged. One of your very best works! Thank you for sharing such incredible beauty with us. You are such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many many others!

You're right! The William Morris connection is definitely there! Your colors stayed so true and didn't mingle. Truly lovely :) !!

your work has so much character it's not typical pours it's more of a design painting. it never ceases to amaze me how you can get these paints to create the kind of shadowing and depth that you do

There aren’t enough words to describe the true beauty of your art. It’s the details that we see in the end, combined with the music, that really brings each piece to the depth of its’ intent. Masterpiece! Thank you for sharing your talent.

OMG.....I love this. I don't know who William Morris is, but it reminds me of a grown up version of the kids book "Where the Wild Things Are". I loved reading that to my kids. Such a warm memory.

Beautiful, Stunning, Far Out, Wonderful, Exquisite, Moving, Awesome . . .Out of Sight, Incredible, Yummy. . . Can't find the words to rightly admire your work and describe your talent. You sure are Lucky to be able to acquire all the canvases and paints you have to work with, and experiment with. Thank you so very much to share with us. Someday I hope to have the time, materials, and a place to try my hand at Fluid Painting. Until then, I will live vicariously, thru your work and teachings.

Amazing work, it is inspiring to watch you paint. As you were pouring, the paints on the canvas felt to me like a coiled snake; immediately, snake medicine and Sirius came up in my mind since to me, snake medicine is associated with the constellation of Sirius. You allowed the medicine to reveal itself by tilting and stretching. Then, lo and behold, a gate becomes obvious in the middle of the painting and an aquatic being appears in the centre of that gate, which makes sense since Sirius has many water planets.
"Sirius Gate to Inner Earth” surfaced in my mind. Sirius represents divine feminine, unconditional love and the desire to be of service. The aquatic being reminds us of the benefits of flexibility and moving with the flow.
In addition, a gate opens between Sirius and earth on the 23rd of July each year and remains open for 55 days (5 symbolises rapid change as well as divine feminine); it closes on the 16th of September. You published your video on the 13th of September, so 13+9=22, a master number that signifies the Master Builder. That is emphasised by the year 2020, which after excluding the zeros is 22 too.
Thank you for your art, Gail and much love to you.

Gail, Beautiful as usual and the High Flow Iridescent Gold is incredible. I'll likely never own any but I love to see to see it bring life to a painting like I've never seen! I've seen you use the copper in the same way. It has a wow factor that change the very meaning of a painting sometimes. It is not the focal point but it sure adds a depth to it like nothing I've ever seen. Once again, you've created magic.

Hi Gail, I hope you get this message - I’m aware you did these paintings a while ago! I gave this one a try yesterday and today. I appear to be losing my black. It’s not coming through as a separate colour. What it is doing is turning my green and gold to an almost vintage brass colour. Not wholly unpleasant but a tendency towards ‘muddy’. Any idea why that may be happening. I’m suspecting paint thickness but it’s already pretty thick. I’m in the Uk so our Floetrol (Owatrol) is thicker than yours. Any suggestions gratefully accepted- such potential in these colours

If you mean do I catch the drips that are going around the bottom edge of the canvas, yes I do. The tool amusing is a fine palette knife. The trick is holding it nearly parallel to the canvas and using the tip but a quarter inch of it to run along the paint.
