Still killing it in 2020...love this song...
❤
January 2024.... Plays it in the Dodge 3500 one ton ..... It's a very cool song from my 8th grade year
The Trevor Horn production prowess was perfect for the pop drama of Martin Fry's lyrics. Probably the greatest pop debut album of the 1980's!
This song was one of my Brothers favorites,Everytime I hear it it reminds me of him.miss him very much .luv you bro.❤
They had some real catchy songs, love it
Oh man. The days of beautiful 80s sunshine. beutiful trouble free world in comparison today.
oh god so true. Today just depresses me even though I was a baby in the mid 80s
not entirely. I grew up living next doort to the US cruise missles and was a protestor at Greenham Common; the threat of nuclear war was a bit of a worry. At least then people had the balls to get out on the streets and complain and to get out of their bedrooms and party. 70's and 80's - best music ever. Humankind is doomed. No creativity, shit music, apathetic young people and mad world leaders.
Jane sums it up nicely , my thoughts exactly!
It wasn’t perfect but at least there was lots of activism , proper activism not online petitions.
High unemployment, tread of nuclear war, depriving social security... Begin 80’s was not such a wonderful time. We idealize our youth...
We had to party hard just in case there was no tomorrow Remember the nuclear threat.
Best time in my life 💘 miss it, young and happy 🌿
*Glamourous & Sophisticated* Pop Perfection.
Martin's lyrics are wildly clever and brilliant.
Gotta love Lisa V. entering the club at 1:18!
🏹❤
lexicon of love was a masterpiece
Damn I can't describe the vibe I get from this track. The freshest friggin' energy, so much motion and speed and urgency but never lacking class & coolness. A perfect control of pace, how the movement slows and speeds. Breathtaking, like a snapshot of real life.
I remember watching the music video many years ago on television and thinking to myself "Whoa this man has great vocals!"
We love you Martin!!! :)
Wow! If anything defined the eighties, it's this. Still sounds good more than 30 years later.
Sophisticated music above alot of bands, with a touch of humor. 👍
Our Parents had all the fun ❤️
It's not fair 😢
One of the best N W bands, this is a great track.
So grateful to be an 80’s kid!
Watching now and forever!
One of the best records of all time.
First saw this on Australian TV in 1982....never forgot that sick bass.
Going back to my teens, loved this group
