Lyrics:
When you close your eyes and you go to sleep
And it's down to the sound of a heartbeat
I can hear the things that you're dreaming about
When you open up your heart and the truth comes out
You tell me that you want me
You tell me that you need me
You tell me that you love me
And I know that I'm right
'Cause I hear it in the night
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep
I hear the secrets that you keep
When you're talking in your sleep

One thing that I've noticed that I REALLY love about the movies they make lately is that they at least make an attempt to give the Younger generation a glimpse of the music made back in the 80's and 90's while also giving the Older generation a chance to have a nostalgic call back to the music

This fit so perfectly in the movie “I hear the secrets that you keep while you’re talking in your sleep” referencing them being in his dream and knowing everything that’s happening and the “ you tell me that you want me, you tell me that you love me, you tell me that you need me” referencing both him wanting Garrett back and them wanting Abby. That was truly genius to have them play.
really? i thought it was just confusing because the song is about a cheater.
@@red2coreblue584the song itself IS about a cheater but it changes meaning in the fnaf movie cuz youre supposed to actually take the lyric literally
@@Epic-i9y idk man its still confusing to me, i dont think the context of the movie changes it at all.

Yep. The ghost kids quite literally hear the secrets Mike keeps while he’s asleep.
What a fitting song to not only fit the 80’s vibe, but to also describe the situation that Mike is going through with the ghost kids. A great song choice for a sure to become classic of a movie. ❤
Only way the movie becomes classic is because how laughably bad it is lmao, and because it’s adapted to probably the most influential indie-horror stories/ game ever. But the writing in the movie was REALLY bad, I’m not even hating I enjoyed the movie but it was so predictable and man the shit that came outta Vanessa’s mouth was so cringy it hurt😭😭
@@tylerdavis3Well yeah, it's a FNAF movie. The story of the games is already fucking bad but it's a fun kind of bad. The movie captured that essence perfectly.
@@nikiardo I disagree. The writing in the games wasn’t bad it was just hard as shit to figure anything out, the movie was the complete opposite it was the most predictable cliche thing ever. I told my brother when we were in the theatre before he brought his sister that she’s gonna meet them and they’re gonna get in a circle and kumbaya, then she’s gonna draw the guy that stole his brother, and it was just afton, the phone guy. Also like I said the parts where Vanessa was there was just horrible and it was like embarrassing how bad her lines were.
@@tylerdavis3 The movie is also meant to appeal to general audiences, I'd be surprised if it WASN'T predictable
@@_The.Queen.In.Pink_ While I do agree for the most part it being predictable isn’t an issue, movie movies do the same thing so most are predictable, the writing was legitimately horrible though. Like I said I enjoyed it, honestly it probably was better doing this because it was funny how bad the writing was, it would’ve had to be written really well for it to have been more entertaining than laughing at it, if that makes any sense.

The drummer is incredible on this song. The timing with the guitar work gives it a one of a kind sound that never fades as time passes on. As Dick Clark would say "It has a steady beat and you can dance to it." Talking in your sleep, was released 41 years ago, this year.
Yes OMG the drummer is crazy good 🔥🔥🔥
Your words are musical wisdom.
Who were the American Beatles? Not their rivals Beach Boys, to make sure. To me, this track makes The Romantics the "American Beatles."
And they didn’t make another song that sounded like this. The whole album sounds nothing like this song.
The drummer is also the kid who plays Rebel Yell and White Wedding for Billy Idol.

When this came on MTV, you RAN for the TV! Bring back the 80's!!
Sleepwalking and sleeptalking, wow, can it happen? My gal tells me her secrets at the mention of the Romantics. Yes,we're here in 2024.

MTV had this song on heavy rotation. I remember getting home from school and turning TV on to my station and they had this video on all the time. Great memories. All those who were there to witness MTV , you are a Legend!
YUP!
WE ARE LEGEND ‼️
I feel so blessed, to have lived the 1980’s a totally unique & awesome 😎 time!
I remember when the Beatles first appeared on Ed Sullivan. My aunt was sooo excited. But I agree, MTV was another level
In it's original format, Mtv was excellent. The M stood for Music - not melodrama.
Memories of going to a roller rink and the DJ was playing this.
The 80s were the best of times, if you were in your early 20s.!! Now I'm 63.!! Thumb it up.
I knew their sound man C.W.Myers. Good guy.
Seems like our 20s was just yesterday.
Retired in rocking chair. 🤗
The 80's will always be the golden era of music!
Amen to that my friend.
Lol what? Not at all. I’d take any other decade over the 80s
Ton L idiot
@Ton L definitely I’d choose the 60s
Long live the 80's!!!
I love this song. One of the best songs of the 80's. The 80's had great music. Of course I am a 80's child. I listen to 80's music all the time. Bless the Lord.

How was this never a hit in the UK! It was perfect for the time.
40 years later, this song still rocks!
Me, 12, hear this for the first time 7 years ago from my dad and namco 50th anniversary for the original xbox. That xbox helped in me to get into these songs
....YOU ARE RIGHT!!...I WAS 22 YEARS OLD....I'M 62!!!!

I was 21 when I first heard this song. I will turn 61 in October.
Que peluca mas genial...🤣🤣🤣
I turned 16 years in 1983 when I first heard this song.
Brings back so many good memories. The 80's were the best to be a young adult!
Yes! We had so much fun ACTUALLY DANCING rather than grinding on each other.
@@KatWoodland Ah come on, be honest there was some grinding...😛

jealous ! 90s baby but i really wished i lived through the 80s. Cheers
@@lxvor8225 Definitely worth it ! And I was there right as late teen and early '20s.
One of the best bass-line and guitar riff of all times
Yes! I especially love the first 30 seconds
The drummer is INCREDIBLE here.
I’m 27 and enjoying this classic tune. Long live the 80’s...
I feel you I'm 21 and I was bombarded by the 80s and I'm also now listen to 90s
Born 1977 and i remember my mom listening to this song as a kid in the 80s. Just found this song again today after all these years. I am choked up listening to it, reminding me of the wonderful memories, a time when I was young, with no worries, feeling loved and protected, when life was simple as a 7-9 year old
Beautiful song and the drummer and bass guitar is out of sight. It's so captivating you have too play it over An over.
Join the club...when the world felt new, fresh and exciting. But as John Cougar sang in another hit video we watched in the same era "oh yeah life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone"
77 I was 7 years old n I love this tune it's magnificent
I was born in 1977 and this was my favourite song as a7/9 year old too
It was on a nostalgia radio station here in Belgium yesterday, not heard for years. I didn't know who it was until I checked the radio playlist a few minutes ago.
Yeah, love it. Really chunky.
