Who else listening The Look Of Love in 2024?
I am :-)
😊👍
Me three
I am always listening to The Look of Love.
This is your second listen.
Man the 80's gave us the best and most unforgettable songs of our lives. Did they not? Agree or disagree?
Thos song is orgasmic
Agree👍
I agree the 80s was the best
Absolutely, positively yes!!! I have lived through the 80s as a youngster and witnessed all the great music of the era.
TOTALLY AGREE. It's like God Himself ordained all those talented and creative artists to suddenly start composing and recording all those fabulous songs at the same time. As the saying goes, it was "an embarrassment of riches".
It's 1982, I'm 15 & watching MTV.
You have to love how UA-cam is the closest thing to a time machine ❤
Me, too!
Facts!
💯 😊😊
I 🤔 was a shy skinny 16 yr old in '82, miss those beautiful youthful days living in Bliss never knowing we'd 🔚 up in a pile of.. !!!
I'm 77 and still watching MTV in 2024. Still working on my ABC's.
58 here and it's 2024. Nothing will top the 80's
So right I'm 56 loved.the 80s 😊😂
Absolutely right 😄
I am here 2024 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Going 60 this year... :)
I'm 56 and really have realised how privileged I was to hit the 80's as a teenager and leave the 80's as adult. Wasn't grown up enough to realise how special it was at the time
This song is exactly 40 years and one day old. It's still as fresh as the first day.
Better than most of today's music-productions
Honestly, the video is campy as heck & the song is beginning to show its age but it's unbeatable for nostalgia value & with a few technical changes with today's technology it could be made into a very acceptable contemporary tune.
ABC Was One Of The Top Bands Of The 80's. Great Great Song.
Real music don 't exist anymore.
For sure bud
Myślami jestem w tamtych czasach kiedy byliśmy tacy wolni🤗🤗
I was 16 when ABC released this song and it's still one of my favorites. What a decade the 80's....
This is why the 1980's were awesome and unforgettable. I wanna go back to the 1980's forever. ❤😂👏🎵

48 and yes it was
I’d say if a song was popular in the 80’s and is still big in 2024 you have a great song!
I remember cranking this up in the car at full volume and how amazing it sounded. Now in 2024 it still sounds amazing, not dated at all.
i'm 55 now and the 80's were my favorite decade.
With you!...
Im 41 and the decade of the 1980s was by far the best for me.
im 55 as well the 80's rocked .. amn we had a chance to see some cool music
Me too. Where did the years go? Seems like yesterday I had no cares. Now, work, kids, wife, mortgage, bills. Ugh!
56 ans et pas mieux !!
The Look of Love by ABC is a perfect example of music in the 80's, whatever you wanted you could find from soft to hard or slow to fast we had it all! If you got to grow up in the 50's through the 90's with all the golden classic movies, music and concerts, YOU were blessed!
But not successful in Europe
@@ruhiger69 they deserve far more fame and recognition
Ottimo commento , condivido,
yes it really was a great song and it brings back so many good memories from 1982/3
90s were pretty magical too for all kinds of music - Electronica/Dance, Trance, Techno etc, Gangsta Rap & Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal and its more underground sub-genres especially Black/Death, R & B, even Country 🎶
I was 2 years old when this song was hugely popular in the USA. Now at going on 44 years old this song and video makes me smile. Am I crazy?
“Sisters and brothers should help each other.” Truer words have never been said. I married a woman who is my equal and best friend. It’s been magical for almost two decades.
I hate to break it to you but that like is purely about fuckin and nothing else
so you married your sister
I will never get tired of listening to these wonderful 80's songs!!

I fist saw this in high school. I never thought I would ever watch music videos on a phone in the palm of my hand. Crazy how far we've come.
I know...it’s absolutely crazy. I’m so sorry my parents aren’t around to see technology
Just think when I was 18 back in 2000 less than half of my peers actually owned a mobile phone and those that did mostly had a basic function Sony Ericsson????
Check out my 80s mixes!

56 now and still love this song,,bring back the 80s or build a time machine and take me home
We are so lucky to have been a part of the 80’s the best time to be a teen, best music, fashion. My new single out late 2024 features ABC Band drummer Richard Brook. It’s 80’s soulful pop inspired by ABC.
My favourite genre is the 80s, as my Dad used to play it non-stop when I was a kid. Now that I've played it over the years, I've now got my nephew into the 80s. This is how the genre will never die!
If someone could build a time machine to 80s who's onboard?
me.....immediately 🙋♀️
Save room for me. I want to escape this difficult reality.

Me brother
I'd probably go back to the 70s then enjoy them both in order.
Martin Fry is a great vocalist and this album is one of the best of the 1980's. Thanks for the great memories
Sure. I love the album, all the songs are great, I bought it when it was released, and remains one of my favorites 40 years after
I had this on cassette I would drive and never fast forward it.
He had the "Look"!
Amen to that 👌🏼
I think this is one of the best ever pop song 🎶🎶
You're right, it's a song with a feeling and its melody accompanies you and brightens your day.
One of the biggest hits of the 80s. And it will probably be a hit forever. ABC's debut album is almost 100 percent hits. Incredible. Many bands can only do this with a greatest hits album.
We are a group of people that had great times that cannot be replaced, Now 61 going 62 . Still enjoying these golden tracks
40 years later , here we are still listening to the best music.
It was the best time in my live.
It was the best time in everyone’s life

1984 was a happy year for me. Miss certain things now.
Lesson on life......never settle for second best!
This song will always have a spot on my 80s playlist.
Such an underrated band.
Saw a clip of Marty singing this recently he sounded the same well almost but just as great and 1000 times better than today's singers

I remember first time seeing this video on MTV back in the 80s, what an amazing music, video and feeling. MTV actually used to show music videos as intended, not the BS that they show now. What an amazing time period in music and in general, entertainment was the best and memories we built are amazing. Still nostalgic when I hear this music and music from the 80s.

I'm 24 years old and I've been listening to "old" music for the past 3 years now, and i just find it funny how I'm constantly finding new jewels even though nothing is new. This one is definitely one of my favorite findings!
There's so much great stuff that the oldies stations never play.

I'm 22, my dad got me into bands like ABC, soft cell, Duran Duran, very grateful for him to introduce me to this sort of music, better than the music of today
Keep listening! There were so many great bands that I didn't appreciate them enough until now, looking back. Kajagoogoo, Psychedelic Furs, and New Order come to mind. Dance clubs had so many songs to choose back then that some of the best didn't get much airtime.
Luke Walters same! 23 and loving those bands, as well as Spandau Ballet, hall and oates, toto... etc.
ur right this musics the best ever
Hi Luke - have you tried Ultravox too, (Vienna is just the tip of an electric-iceberg)
Luke Walters Very true. I was a kid when this stuff was out so my aunts and uncles are always shocked that I not only remember them but I own them in my collection of music
They didn't play for money, they simply expressed themselves authentically
And this kind of music and that which came earlier in the 70s , would force you to want to play guitar because it was so inspirational. That's why some of us play music for living. We thank God that musical appreciation, unleashed talents within us
What a banger from 1982! For me, this song belongs in the ranks of the icons of the early 80s, such as fade to grey, don't you want me, girls on film and tainted love. Hands down!
So glad I grew up during the Brit-pop invasion of the '80's. Nothing today even comes close to being this good!!!
Me too!!! British invasion was warmly welcome.

One of the songs that will always sound new. Been on my playlist for years now and never gets old.
65 here, and this song jams after 40 years.
It's near impossible not to have a smile on your face, as this song is playing. It's one of those great 80's songs, that just sticks with you for some reason. I remember when this first came out. And I still enjoy it today. Great vocals and a wonderful orchestral background. The 80's were such a better time. You just had such optimism for the present, and for the future. It wasn't perfect of course, nothing ever is. But all in all, it was 1000X's better than now for sure.
You know in the 80's people were saying the 60's was a lot better. Don't watch the news, it's all doom and gloom, Peace!
@@smith0779 That's true of any era. We always think that the past is a bit better than it is now. Unfortunately, it's the truth. For the most part, things were better than they are now. We were more optimistic for our present and the future, than we are today. Hopefully that'll change. Peace to you too.
@@Mr.SLovesTheSacredHeartofJesus Yes I agree!! I am so grateful I wasn't born a 100 years ago and forced to fight in the Great war. Things are getting worse because the majority of people don't care. Take care , continue to be nice and you will have no worries, God bless X
You had optimism for the future while you were in the midst of the Cold War? Whatever your smoking I want some of it.

Das war noch gute Musik. Heute 2022 höre ich es mit 53 immer noch sehr gerne. Wir hatten die beste, unbeschwerte Jugend. Ich vermisse diese Zeit ❤️
Anyone around at the time will appreciate just how incredible the production was on this masterpiece of an album. Trevor Horn’s genius brought previously unheard layering, depth and clarity to the record which, together with the great work by the amazing Martin Fry and band, makes this an unassailable and unforgettable classic. Just sublime!
Memories of when I was 18 in 1982. Not only a fantastic song but the carnival atmosphere really worked here, ABC knew how to use the new media of music videos.
There is nothing more 80s than this video.
