What a transformation! I don't get why people paint antique furniture. New mass produced furniture, yes, but antique? No way. Your attention to detail is by far the best on You Tube. And the fact that you inject some humor into your descriptions makes it so entertaining. It may not have been a "quick" project, but it was a beautiful result. Thank you for saving old furniture.
Sooooo agree!!!! ❤
That’s very kind of you! Thank you 🤩
Ottimo lavoro come sempre ☺️
Sometimes they were painted before they were antique! 😂
Sometimes they're painted to offer a layer of protection. Sometimes it's so it can be kept by the owner and painted to blend in as possibly it was too dark and heavy looking for a room. A million reasons. I don't judge (unless it was a crap paint job and then I judge. A LOT!)
I'm an 83 year old gran from Pinetown, near Durban S. Africa and have so enjoyed watching your videos for some time. My late husband and I lived in the south of England for two years. He was on a business transfer. I would like to have moved to England! The cats are entertaining to watch. You do very good transformations. Well done! Nanna N.
Hello, to my home country.
Wow! Gorgeous and amazingly creative. AndJay, you Crack me up 😂.
You are not only a professional and fancy AF, but you are also smart AF! This table is absolutely gorgeous now! Thank you for the sexy knee shot, too! I'm really loving all of your "quick" projects! 😊
😂🤗🤩💛🐾
Sometimes we all need a crying break! Hugs to your kitties.
😂😂😂😻
The tears add to the character of the finish, I'm sure.
Yes, you are a professional! It's fun to think back to your early videos when you were just figuring things out. Your attention to detail inspires me.
Thanks so much!🤩
I don't know if this is world-wide, but in the USA, lots of people are downsizing and moving to spaces that are much smaller than what they had previously. That table would be brilliant for my 750 sq ft apartment! And I think I told you before, watching you bring things back from the "dead" is always amazing to me. You are a resurrectionist! ❤
You are mad… in the best possible way. You do an insane amount of work on the pieces until perfection. Amazing. And your cat is one of a kind!
Thank you very much!🐾
A beautiful result, of course the “quick” project took much longer but you did an amazing job.
Side note: it's nice seeing Mando and Hugo getting along so well.
Thank you 🤩 and yes they are besties
From trash to treasure. Once again you’ve done a great job.
Jay, you’re more than a professional now. You’re an artist! You’ve come so far since you began!
I had to laugh at myself when you held Hugo up to the camera. I smiled & said hello Hugo to my phone 🤦🏼♀️
Fantastic result! A project always takes twice as long & costs twice as much as we think.
Stunning, Classy, and Elegant!
Thank you 🤩
Only a “professional” would call this a QUICK PROJECT! Your techniques, tips and tricks are so helpful. And amateurs like me need all the help we can get. The table looks lovely. I would have either given up after two days, stored in my garage for months or tossed it out after a few years. You make it look so easy and it’s not. Stripping paint is often such a time consuming nightmare. It’s great that you have your kitties for moral support.
As any professional can attest: the first 80%of a project takes 80% of the time. The last 20% of a project takes the other 80% of the time.
Being ‘fancy AF’ shows in the end result! Gorgeous. I love seeing Mando and Hugo having such a great time playing together (and Mando has grown so much!). Looking forward to the introduction to your new apprentice too. 💣🥰🇦🇺
Beautiful work, the golden touches give the finishing contrast to the dark wood. And you get funnier and funnier as time goes by!
Beautiful - the brass elements are just right. (We are all checking out your knees now - ha ha)
Yes, his knees are exceptional, but his wrists are to die for!
That sad little painted table really needed an extreme makeover, and you were definitely the man for the job! The final reveal looks like it came from a high-end boutique! ❤
Greetings to you and Mando from Virginia, USA! Mando is becoming quite the shop manager! Cheers!
Yay thank you 🤩
The contrast inside the draw was a nice surprise.
Like the dark wood against the brass. Beautiful!
Stunning! Gorgeous! Elegant! Masculine! I love your detailed work! There's no easy project when the piece is so old...The casters are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you so much!😊
Mondo really classes up your final shots 😂. He was meant for fine furniture ❤
He actually showed up and sat in front of the table as soon as I started taking pictures 😂
@@FlippingdrawersMondo enjoys photo bombing.😅😅
Mando is becoming quite the handsome young feline.
Ohhhhh! This is stunning! Well done, you!
Oh Wow!! That’s such a rich and beautiful color. I much prefer dark wood. Your little table would be at home anywhere in the world now. I love the drawer pull too. Excellent job!!!❤️🤗🐝
OMG! I just finished watching the last video of the 1930's sideboard restoration, awaiting the next upload. I realise that halfway through that video that I had seen it, but it didn't stop me from watching it again, only this time I was more focused on the entertainment of Mando and Hugo playing in the background. Lol
lol thank you ☺️ just uploaded a new video 😉
Such a beautiful and elegant piece of furniture from what looked like a basement or bar workshop utility table! Your woodworking skills and strong attention to detail never cease to amaze me. I’ve learned SO much about technique from watching your videos and you are definitely my favorite UA-cam personality who does restorations! Please continue your work… Each video release is a treat!
I swear I saw the wood draw in a deep breath when you removed that horrendous white paint. The before condition is so bad, and your finished table looks amazing.
I love the brass casters and matching hardware on the drawer. The drawer, the drawer tracks, and the drawer stops are artisan level work.
Mando is such an adorable supervisor. I always love seeing him in your videos.
Just beautiful! Your've given a sad little drop leaf table a stately and dignified new life. The brass drawer pull and casters against the dark stain are stunning. Greetings from central Texas! I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us each week.
Your work is awesome!!!!!!
Your finished products are BEAUTIFUL.
I love watching your videos.
Thank you so much!
My friend... You're more than a professional; you're an Obsessive Pro! That's the reason why I still enjoying your videos... and learning. I'm a humble hobbyst (not a hobbit) and feel an absolute pleasure when I rescue an old piece of furniture and give to it a new life. Thanks a lot -from 🇦🇷- for your videos.👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻.
Thank you kindly ☺️
Beautiful work! Always enjoy your videos and enjoy seeing Mando and the neighboring cats. This is the way!
They really love to play-fight. That's so cute.😊🥰
Wow! Attention to details makes for longer "quick projects"!
Indeed! ☺️
that drawer was for a table cloth and silver ware, in a time where most people lived in tiny homes the best things, like a fancy lace tablecloth and the best silver were kept with the table they served, this piece in the US would be part of a "stand alone" kitchen, before built in cabinets....I love that table and it deserved your attention...I would totally buy it if I were near you.
Love it hard to believe it’s the same table would grace any room or style thanks for sharing 🇬🇧❤️😁🐕
Amazing transformation Jay. Would never believe that was hiding under the paint. The castors elevate it in more ways than one. Love the drawer construction too. The standard I have come to expect from a Professional ❤👏👏👏👏👏
“Trenching” Thank you. I didn’t know about that feature.
And the clamp thingies with the stretch clamp. Thanks for that too. I never would have thought of that.
What a transformation! It's beautiful. I so enjoy watching you save pieces that were destined to be thrown away and giving them a new life. I also love watching Mando and Hugo play. Mando gotten so big! Thank you for sharing and caring.
I hope whomever winds up with this piece can place it in a sunny spot in their home because it looks just breathtaking in the sunshine. Wow you are so talented! You're also psychic AF cuz Bob really is my uncle 😉 Thanks for sharing.
Very nice. The small amount of brass looks great with the dark finish. Understated elegance. The comment about your knees made me laugh!
The wine vinegar made all the difference, obviously. You really are fancy AF. And a pretty good furniture restorer, too. (A new apprentice?!) I like the addition of the brass casters, and the new knob, too--like a little hint of jewelry,
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, and I am in love with this table! You ARE fancy af! I appreciate your sense of humor too! Great work, Jay!
One would never ever believe that little table would require so much time and effort. It looks great. I like the drawer thingie.
Yes, Sir! You are, indeed, a Professional!”
An impressive transformation! May I add that I am delighted by your announcement re an apprentice. I hope their energy is a good fit. You are mellow and meditative while being a professional perfectionist.
Thank you and yes 🙂

Absolutely stunning transformation! Your attention to the fine details keep your viewers coming back for more! I have a piece exactly like this that had been in my family for close to 75 yrs. It’s is better condition .. only the top has a few water stains and such. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!
Once again I am astounded by your skill to transform a piece of “trashed” furniture into something even better than when it was new. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. The technical explanations of “what & why” held my attention to the point I was almost sad the table was finished. It’s a beautiful work of art now. Thank you for sharing.
I love how you can take aweful looking pieces & give it back it's beauty like you did with this one I'm usually not a fan of darker colored pieces but this one is beautiful,,thank you for sharing your hard work with us ,,I truly enjoy the videos you make 😊
Thank you so much!
I'm always amazed at how intensely you restore these pieces that many might consider a lost cause.
That wood is simply gorgeous!
And I love Mondo's coat. He looks like a baby ocelot. ❤
Thank you very much!🙂
Jay I want to tell you how much I enjoy your videos....your level of detail, craftsmanship and sense of humor really all resonate with me. I always laugh out loud watching your videos and they have been a real blessing and a ray of sunshine through a very dark period of my life. Thank you so much. Namaste 🙏
Wow, what a beautiful transformation!
I would be very proud to have that table in my home wonderful job ❤
Thank you 🤩
A handsome piece - goes well with your knees & Mando!🙃
😂😂😂😻
You have done a remarkable job Jay. Really shows that in the capable hands of a professional, not much furniture is beyond repair. 🎉
Wow! It turned out beautiful!
Oh my, what a beautiful job you did on this challenging piece (I get why you needed three cry sessions)! And thank you for the sexy knees shot 😂
😂😂😂😂you’re welcome 😉
I loved this video. I am now considering adding a drawer to my drop leaf. I don't know when I will start working on mine. 😊 The dark stain and brass is always such an elegant look.
Watching you work Jay, is like doing the Master Class. I am now spoiled and when I see people do strange paint projects on antique furniture I cry. Mando kitty is a helpful boy who loves working with his dad.
Love your "2000 Years later" !!!!!! It looks stunning!!! Great Job!! You are a Professional!💖
Looking forward to meeting the new assistant 🎉 the table looks amazing - well worth the effort. ❤❤
Goodness, what a gem of a restoration! Clearly, you are a professional. Also, your cats are professional, too. They have been trained well.
Oh, well done. 👏👏👏👏 It looks amazing. The castors and the drawer pull add just the right touch of elegance too.
Thanks so much! 😊
.............because you are a professional !!!! Nothing left to say ! You are one of the two best furniture restoration channels on UA-cam by far ! Εισαι μαστορασ ρε φιλε !
Most of us would have walked by this old, broken piece of furniture but you don't. You see its beauty, and because you see it, you find it.
And then we see it too. Thank you.
That is a stunning transformation. You have managed to rescue and make beautiful so many pieces of furniture. Your attention to detail is what really makes these projects turn out so beautifully. The castors add a wonderful pop of shine.
Oh, the knees! 😲 I love watching your cats at play. They certainly have a lot of energy. Once again, I'm awed by the transformation. You have quite an eye if you could see this outcome while the table was white and cruddy looking. Lovely!
Such a beautiful little table! Great job.
You are a PROFESSIONAL. Looks fantastic, beautiful, awesome.
Not sure if someone said you weren't a perfectional?
But you had me at how you organized or shop. Screw anyone who says different. Great video.
Jay, this is a really great little table. I think the brass casters are a perfect touch. You really are a professional.
Another stunning result and now she is back in circulation for future generations to admire instead of on the rubbish heap. Thank you for what you do.
That looks wonderful! I do like the brass casters, they add a touch of class along with the drawer pull. Mondo was such a beautiful cat! He’s a pretty good inspector too!😅❤❤
Oh thank you!🐾
😊 knees 🎉 I love how you professionally repaired and restored this very old table.
Thank you! 😊
Jay: I guess you know there is no easy job. This table looks beautiful, besides it looks like it would be very functional. Kudos! Carol from California
Absolutely gorgeous ! I love the drawer pull and the brass casters. The dark color is a perfect shade to go with the brass. Well done, another beautiful piece. You have beautiful cats !!!
Jay: Massive 'short' project. Very good narration. Stunning transform. And les chats are a bonus.
When the drawer is slightly open, it looks like a spaniel with floppy ears. And the colour of this piece is absolutely stunning. Especially together with the hardware.
Every your project is a piece of art 🌟
I appreciate all the effort that went into the restoration and the filming and editing. Dark wood/ cherry stain is not my personal favourite but i can see how many people would love this.
Stunning transformation! Love the practicality of drop leaf tables!
Gorgeous, dark woods are certainly bounding back in style, seeing transformations like yours are helping that trend 😄
It turned out gorgeous
I LOVE mahogany furniture and what a wonderful, restorative job you did on this table. You can be proud of this work!!!!! Perhaps your best work ever! So well done. Your attention to detail is amazing.
LOOKS FANTASTIC!
Jay, absolutely gorgeous.! I completely understand when you say things are never a quick flip! With your work, it is always worth it. I am definitely looking forward to seeing your new apprentice!
I can't say anything than "great!". Great in subtleness and elegant appearance. In your capability to see treasure in trashes and bringing it back! As always do I LOVE that small amount of shiny brass elements. ❤
The table turned out amzingly elegant. I love the casters you put on it. Amazing. You're such a perfectionist. Love your videos, thanks for sharing!
Bengal cats are magnificent! The table looks gorgeous too, thank you for showing us your work
Thank you! 😊 they are also very loud and vocal 😂😻
I really love what you did to this table. I would definitely love to see it it my house. ❤😊 You are a professional for sure. 😊
I would be proud to have this on display in my home. Fabulous! I would expect nothing less than this level of attention to detail because, after all… you are a professional!
Wow, I so agree: truly this is almost a miraculous transformation! From dilapidated, decrepit and unloved to sleek, elegant and absolutely stunning. Making a replacement drawer with such attention to detail in the joinery and the stops. And that brass pull and those shiny matching castors; what a visually delightful counterpoint to that dark stain finish. The total effect just glows!. You only partly explained why: "because I am a professional". Yes that's true, but you are also an artist. You've created something unique and truly beautiful!
Great result! And those professional knees!!! (swoon) 😺
This table turned out lovely. I truly like the dark color and the easy way in which you made the drawer too. Have a great day
Thank you! You too!
WOW! It turned out beautiful. An elegant little table. Great job!
Beautiful! That old table actually looks "happy" again. ❤️
What a lovely little table -- I always think how useful those drop-leaf tables would be. It is stunning Jay.
That turned out stunning. I really like adding the casters
Excellent restoration..turned out beautiful ❤
Your bengel kitty is so beautiful. I can't get enough of his romping about while you restore the furniture. My grandfather was a furniture stripper by trade, and I didn't learn anything from him, but I do remember some 25+ years ago, I found an old table that was too high to be a coffee table and too low to be a dining table. I tried to restore it, and spent hours sanding it. If I could have done the restoration I would probably still have the table.
Such a beautiful transformation of something that 99% of people would have thrown on the tip. It's so wonderful to see lovely wooden furniture restored to something that will be so usefull today and in yearsto come.
I wonder if somebody will be restoring this piece again in 100 years time and saying that it was obviously restored by "a professional " at so e point in its history.
Lovely to see the cats playing - It's nice when your furry child has a friend who comes over to play at his house.
You always find a way to fit brass in. 😊 The color matching looked good to me. All in all, another lovely restoration, Jay. 💕
The " new " table is S O O O
E L E G A N T ,
breathtaking ❣
Love the end results. The addition of the castors on the legs was a very practical decision, especially, with a drop leaf table which often gets moved around when wanting to put up both leaves. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful!
