Just in case you don’t know, the green “fabric” is baize, used for cutlery drawers (& billiard table tops)! It’s usually wool or cotton, with a felt like finish. It helps stop cutlery (especially silver & silver plated cutlery) from becoming scratched & tarnished. (On billiard tables it helps the balls roll really smoothly). Love watching your videos, turning old & unloved pieces into beautiful & desirable ones. Best wishes from Annie, in Cornwall.🙂🌸
@@trudyeby464 I have seen someone use a heat gun to fairly easily remove baize, but that baize was still reasonably thick. How well it would work on the thin disintegrating baize I don't know.
Oh, no! It's the oldies bloc, here. I'm 75, too. But hey, this ugly buffet turned into a stunning piece; it was hard to believe how anyone could pull off such a transformation. Oh, and the humor? ---priceless, especially the orbital sanding section. Thanks for such a wonderful video. All of them.

Love the unique style of this piece of vintage furniture. You seem to find the best of the vintage designs. Also, I am glad you used the same hardware...it adds value to the finished piece. Nice job!
Thank you for saving this beautiful piece from the landfill. It never seems to amaze me when people just paint over furniture instead of having it restored.
I hope you plan to keep this one. I let nothing go any longer because I've come to understand that people don't get the time and energy that goes into a craft. Jay, your workmanship is outstanding and truly an art!! You take every step necessary to revive the pieces without making them look "brand new"!! I absolutely love your work and am always anxiously awaiting your next video! Lots of love for you and Mondo from the USA!!!

Once again you have done an absolutely AMAZING job Jay. Your patience, skill & desire to succeed on some very ordinary pieces of furniture are always on display. You have transformed another very ordinary piece of furniture into a stunning piece. Your interaction with the cats adds enormously to all of your videos, at times they are absolutely hilarious & help make your videos that 'little bit more interesting & entertaining'. I absolutely love this finished piece of now stunning furniture. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
That is a real Makeover !!! From a ugly painted piece to a more than beautiful Sideboard ! You did this furniture right to bring it back to its original and it make such a great different s ! Nice to work outside but when it is taken so long time to get it right you most be motivated to keep going ! Luckily Mando and Hugo where their to support you !! Nice video and you so much for sharing !
Love watching your cats carry on in the background. Also, I don't find dismantle-ing boring so as far as I'm concerned, you can leave that in if you have a shorter video. Great job, as usual and your "special effects" while sanding were hilarious.

I gotta tell you that turned out amazing. Beautiful. Would love to have it in my home. BTW, mondo is so stinking cute. Love him too
Jay, your workmanship is outstanding and truly an art!! You take every step necessary to revive the pieces without making them look "brand new"!! I absolutely love your work and am always anxiously awaiting your next video! Lots of love for you and Mondo from the USA!!!
This was my first time on your channel. It was a joy watching you restore this 1930s Sideboard, but I must say that it is the most beautiful cat I have ever seen. I have never seen a housecat with leopard spots. Thank you for sharing!
Welcome aboard! Thank you for watching! 😻
@@Flippingdrawers You did and AMAZING job!
You are magical!! I love your videos. The care you take! The beautiful choices! So relaxing and rewarding!❤
Glad you enjoy it!
My Lord, what a giant Job of yours. This Buffett looks sooo unbelievebel beautiful! After you took care of it.
Lots of work put into this piece. It looks beautiful. I love your calming approach to all these projects and I love watching Mondo & Hugo play with each other.
I love the humor while sanding!😅😅😂😂 I'm glad you find the time to be entertaining!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Amazing!!!! I love your assistants. They make the long hours seam shorter!
I will never grow tired of watching the way you restore furniture. Amazing talent. Bravo.
Mando is adorable 🐆 what a beautiful boy
Thank you so much 😀
I love how thorough you are at expaining what you're doing. And I also love your cats! So fun watching them play. Plus your work is excellent.
Another fantastic restoration! And wonderful to see so much of Mando. What a beautiful kitten!
I just love Mando he is so gorgeous! I adore your channel and eagerly await each new video. You have done a superb job of the Art Deco cabinet, it looks just like it came out of the furniture makers! I love your attention to every little detail and wish my dad was alive as he would have really enjoyed your videos. He made and restored furniture in his spare time after he came back from the war. Tnks for your great content and hi from Australia. 👍🏼🇦🇺
This cabinet turned out just beautiful. I like watching the PAINT being stripped off of wood to reveal the beauty of the natural wood grain, especially oak. You have a great day
Thank you and you do as well.
Another gorgeous transformation! New life to an old piece without destroying it's antique charm. You were absolutely right about accenting the flowers on the front doors. That added the perfect accent without being gaudy.
You did a beautiful job of restoring - reimagining a piece of junk into a treasure! Thank you.
You have the patience of a century cactus. It turned out quite beautiful. It would be something I'd love to own. Good job Mondo and crew.
Mando and Hugo are stealing the show 😂❤❤ You really inspire me to do some restorations myself. I am learning a lot from your videos. Thank you very much 🤗
Jay, this piece is beautiful❗️I love the brown stain color inside & out. You brought out the glamour or the doors & curved design.
I may have watched this video before, but so wonderful to view, your skill & Mondo & your charm-delightful. Thank you 🌿
🤩 wow! It looks amazing!
Hello beautiful Carol☺️ thank you so much for your support
I would love to see everything you have kept for your home. I know you have got to have some beautiful restored pieces that are one of a kind. Please do a video. Show off your skills Bubba!
Ha ha I do have a few. A schoolmaster’s desk, my meteor coffee table and the Brazilian rosewood drawers
Gorgeous! Love the gold hardware and little flowers. Especially love all the kitty breaks!
Good to know! Thanks for watching !
Exquisite!!! Love your craftsmanship! Love your sense of humor! Love Mando! Love watching him wrestle Hugo!
