I love that you chose some of the most unique pieces to restore! I am a sewist and make something new out of something considered a throw away. I have restored many vintage items of clothing. It is challenging and so rewarding. TY for sharing this benign piece of history.

I turned my mother's silk wedding negligee into a blouse... sadly, Mom was far more petite than I and the blouse required additional fabric in a particular shade of yellow that wasn't easy to track down. We learn so much about history by adapting "old" clothing to contemporary fashion standards...

This is one of the most fascinating little bureaus I've ever seen. I've collected coin banks since I was a child, the more doors and drawers, the more I love them, and such a simple wooden cash register like this is just wonderful. The final color is so warm and pretty on this wood, and I love that you reused the old handmade nails. Excellent new feet. Just lovely, all over.

You did a great job on the drawers they looked like they’ve always been there. You kept as much of the original as you could, that’s awesome. It’s what makes this old grocery cash box live again. (Maybe a bank from all your extra change n hide key from the kids😅) I’m hoping this is yours to keep. It’s definitely a piece to be proud of. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟

What a piece of history, as a kid I remember the bread makers in the old part of our city had these boxes. My sister and I used to walk down to buy bread and will handover coins to the bread maker and he would stashed the coins inside the box. What a meomery, what a restoration. ❤
This is absolutely amazing. I think you said it was a cash table or something like that. But I would like one as a old fashioned jewelry box. That would look fantastic sitting in the middle of a big dresser. I love it!! ❤️ 😊
