The paint work done outside was pretty impressive, some things that people should avoid if you want it to look extremely good is to weld pieces of metal in areas that have holes like in the rust area you have. It's better to cut it out and weld a piece of metal because using that much body filler will eventually crack the paint. Another thing is before applying the coat of primer to the whole car, it is better to sand the hole thing out first until you get it to bare metal because it will adhere better, when laying the paint on top of a surface that's not well prepared will also crack the paint in the future. Last thing, is to always remove all trim pieces, I saw that you left the black trim on the front bumper and on the doors. Taping is eh and the paint wont cover everything and since the paint under the trim isn't removed, that can cause the paint to start peeling off. Just my piece of advice for anyone who's trying this at home.

a few tips to those getting ready to paint a car for the first time. Always follow body lines, so paint the hood front to back, not side to side. Also, for a better result.....wet sand the base coat before clear coat, it will look twice as good, and well worth the extra work. Prep work is 90% of the final look, and doing it in a drive way is not easy, lol. Kudos to this guy. Also....do NOT wax the car....let the car dry for at least a week before you wax, or the wax will seal the paint and it will not finish drying deep in the paint

I have spray painted a roof spoiler myself with the right paint code and it really wasn't hard at all. Just throw a lot of clear coat on it so you have enough to work with when wet sanding and polishing. To my surprise the paint job looked better than the oem paint in most areas.

I get this was a DIY budget paint job done outside. Turned out great. Props for giving it a shot. As a Professional Detailer/Polishing tech. I would recommend moving the DA a little bit slower during wet sanding. Slowing down arm movement a lot more during compounding and polishing stages. Fast movements aren’t ideal for correction, as the polish and compound doesn’t have a chance to heat up and break down. I would also recommend adding one more step to wet sanding and using a 5k grit pad and possibly an 8k grit pad as it would reduce the need for as much cut and buff. Considering the circumstances it turned out great! 👍🏻

Plasti Dip is pretty good if you know what you are doing, admittedly you do need a £10,000 spray booth but we use a Spanish product that lays flatter and smoother and you can now get a machine polishable clear top coat that looks just like 2K clearcoat and is still peelable if you want to remove it. Most of the jobs we do now are better than a majority of sheet vinyl wraps, only thing we can't do at the moment is a chrome finish but I don't think that is far away. The Halo and the Autoflex clears are incredible.
As someone that has polished a few cars and trained all over the US.... way too much product on those pads and paste wax is super outdated. That said, the dude worked hard and I'd hire someone like that any day. Train a hard worker and you have an employee for life.

DIY work and deserves appreciation. It's also gives opportunities for new learners and professionals
Can this process be done in under 20mins?
Just robbed a bank, cops saw getaway car.
Plasti Dip is a PITA, I've used it for trim pieces and thats all id ever use it for.
Plasti Dip is pretty good if you know what you are doing, admittedly you
do need a £10,000 spray booth but we use a Spanish product that lays
flatter and smoother and you can now get a machine polishable clear top coat that looks just like 2K clearcoat and is still peelable if you want
to remove it. Most of the jobs we do now are better than a majority of
sheet vinyl wraps, only thing we can't do at the moment is a chrome
finish but I don't think that is far away. The Halo and the Autoflex clears are incredible.
IT SEEms you play gta alot
Hive Mind yes it can be done
Go to pay and spray
My god I feel like this would take me five months!! The dedication! Very impressive.
One must really like his car to go through all this.
Could be project car
As someone that has polished a few cars and trained all over the US.... way too much product on those pads and paste wax is super outdated. That said, the dude worked hard and I'd hire someone like that any day. Train a hard worker and you have an employee for life.
Gotta love a homestyle paint job that you can shave in the reflection with! Awesome!
Don't forget the wipe off the leftover product with a microffer
i just died when I read this comment
Me too
What leftover product, didnt see any.
Daz Dee im dying help😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅👌
A couple more hours refining the paintwork and you're golden
Gosh damn, that is some high quality paint!
The job of a man who knew what he was doing 👌🏻
I love people who have such dedication when working. It's a lot a fucking work on that car. Hats off
One of the best tutorials I have watched thus far..thanks for everything I’m a total beginner, did slot of research, ask experts a few questions a few experts didn’t even trust to show me some of their tools even though I’m just going to be working on my personal projects..I am grateful for that though caz it led me to do my own research which made me more confident in doing what I’m about to do..I would have like if u added description or links to purchase the tools u have ..like I say I’m a beginner and this is the first time I saw the machine u used to sand the car after clear coat .please do consider listing tools in the description or even links someone can purchase tools from..never know could be your sale...but I must say very much grateful for this tutorial..
This video makes me want to paint my entire car 🤨
Rachel Hastings 😂😂 easy!
Go for it girl, you can do it
Rachel Hastings word!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right behind you
I think you did a great job painting that car on your driveway.
Greatings from Belgium! Keep up the good DIY- work!
If the rusting process that made those rust holes isn't stopped (by appropriate work behind the panels), the new paint job will be ruined by new rust holes in less than one year's time.
Need seafoam
Nailed it....Great how 2 video,number 1 in my book.
What a great work. Only the passionate people will appreciate it. Bravo buddy
This guy did perfect for outdoor and the amout equipment he has
Man! The only thing I can say is awesome job bro. Wooow!!!
Clearly for amateurs by a well meaning amateur doing a tidy up and that's fine and a bit of fun. Its an old car with some life in it but not worth a professional respray. If you have the energy aint to fussy why not? don't knock it. Some of us have been there then we hit the big time and then we end up watching stuff like this to kill time lol.
I've seen this same comment on an interior detailing video
Grady Dunkin yeah he hit it big time! Now he’s copying comments on youtube 👌
Wow! I’m exhausted-great job and you did it in your driveway!?!
Decent at-home job. Hard work and effort... nothing wrong with that. Good job!!
