Curious civilian here. You mentioned in one of your videos that the UCMJ even has rules for veterans or retirees, what rights do they loose or gain? What can a civilian do that a veteran/retiree is not allowed to? Do veterans regain all their regular civilian rights and freedoms? I heard a rumor that free speech is not regained and that retirement and VA benefits are at stake if they're caught speaking poorly of the military even as a comedian?

Hey there, Jim! If someone’s a veteran who was discharged before reaching 20 years of service and qualifying for military retirement, they are not still subject to the UCMJ. Also, if someone is a retired reservist, they’re not subject to the UCMJ either. But if someone retired from active duty and is still receiving those retirement benefits, they may be subject to the UCMJ. It’s very rare that an active duty retiree would face a court-martial, but it has happened.

Anakin's actions were in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, specifically the UCMJ and Constitutional principles regarding the use of force. By responding to force with force and not initiating first contact, Anakin demonstrated a lawful and measured approach in line with the legal standards of the UCMJ and the Constitutional use of force.

So if a U.S. Personnel cheats on their spouse they’re in trouble with the U.S. Military; but if a U.S. Personnel’s spouse cheats on them then that’s none of the military’s business 🤦🏿‍♂️

It comes down to what's within the commander's control. The commander has the ability to order and reprimand personnel under their command, but they don't have that same authority over a civilian spouse.

Personally I think article 134 is probably one of the good ones because military has to sustain some sort of professionalism and having let’s say (sailors) because thts my branch doing tht amongst each other can create a lot of probably when the main focus is get the job done that opens up favoritism drama/gossip ect it needs to be in play because we all are apart of something bigger than ourselves

Hello Ma’am, if ever i need to contact legal services of the Air Force, do you know anyway how I can contact them? I’m currently at tech school and it’s owned by a different branch and unfortunately they don’t have any legal services here

Find the nearest Air Force base, and they should be able to assist you. If you do an internet search for their legal office, you should be able to get their contact information.
