  • Benefits Military Spouses Receive After Divorce
You're married to a U.S. military service member but you're about to get a divorce. What benefits are you still entitled to receive from the U.S. Government as a former military spouse, even after the divorce finalizes? In this video, I go over healthcare, your military spouse's retirement pay and disability pay, and access to military installations' Commissaries, Exchanges, and other morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) facilities. I also go over how legal separation plays into all of this, including your ability to live on base and your right to access support services that are available to military dependents. AND I let you know what could cause you to stop receiving these post-divorce benefits.

I went through a lot of financial crisis during my divorce, I had to raise my two kids alone, Currently I'm living smart and frugal with my money. Bought my second house already. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for me; even till now I earn monthly through passive income. I'm planning on retiring when my kids finish college..

@@eadad4371 Generally, investing requires higher knowledge. For this reason, It's important to have a solid support structure (financial consultant) to guide you through especially in asset picking. I operate with (Regina Louise Collaro) an investment advisor who partners with a licensed wealth management firm. For the record, the experience has been the best for my finance. She is quite popular for her services so you might have heard of her.
She made me financially stable investing through her help, now I earn on a monthly basis through her passive income strategy... So I’ll advise you do get a good Investment advisor for yourself.

@@stephaniefythm You are right, I am one of many who has benefited from investing with Regina Louise Collaro. 2020 is an unforgettable year in my life, back then I lost my job due to covid ,got divorced and had no reason to live. Military members are US government property. How can they sign a contract with a civilian without the contract being approved by JAG or their commander? Also, the state nor the military never disclosed all information and laws pertaining to the contract at the time of signing. This makes the contract void. All contracts must have full disclosure at the time of signing.

I have a similar question. Asking on behalf of my son.
Dual military, renting outside military housing
Not Legally separated, she moved out to barracks while deciding wether to legally separate. But Army is telling her their have to take away her BAH unless their legally separated.
Just need more info. Her Sergeant talked to my son and told him they should work things out because she can’t be staying in the barracks. WTF
What if she doesn’t want to return? Legal separation make my son have to pay her spousal support? No kids … thanks

Awesome information Ashley I really appreciate it. I writing you to help my sister in law who was married to a Army soldier 19 years and 6 months before they were divorce. Her husband retired 6 months later and immediately got married again.. My sister in law was not aware of the 20-20-20 rule at the time they divorced but her husband did and left her apparently with no benefits other than 42% of his retirement but nothing else. She does not have access to the commissary, or any benefits such as VA home loan. He left her with 4 children which are now grown. What can she do to can get benefits for access to any other benefits.

Great information Ashley. I have a question that I hope you can answer. I married an Army guy at 19 y/o. We have 1 child together who is 5 y/o now. We have been separated for 3 years. When we were together he mistreated me and cheated on me, so I left him. He is out of the Army now and not working. He only pays $90/ mo.in child support. I know he is getting Army disability because he broke his leg while in service, but he keeps everything secret from me. I want to get a divorce, but I also want my daughter to get the benefits she deserves. I don't know his SS number or his current address. Is there a way I can get his Army records based on the address when we lived together at Fort Braggs, NC? Thank you in advance.

Benefits end for dependents at age 21 unless they are a full-time student seeking an associate's degree or higher from an accredited school. In that case, benefits end at age 23 or the expected graduation date, or whichever comes first.
