I'm from the UK and never saw these guys live. The album "Slave" was one of the first LP's I bought and as a bass player he was one of my heroes. He had a unique style which I try to this day to emulate. I went to from guitar to bass because of this guy. What a player!!!!! RIP Mr Mark
Ohio! Cleveland: The Dazz Band, The Deele; Michael Hampton (Funkadelic); Cincinnati: Bootsy, The Isley Brothers, Midnight Star; and Dayton: Dayton, Zapp (Roger Troutman), Sun, Lakeside, The Ohio Players, Faze-O, Heatwave (The Wilder Brothers), Junie Morrison (P-Funk/and solo), and SLAVE. I loved these bands as a tween, teenager, and young adult. I exalted for years that PFunk was my favorite until one day I woke up and realized that the only music that I never got tired of was the music of SLAVE. The greatest Band, the greatest Bass Player, the greatest screaming guitar licks, the most unique female vocalist, the most unique male vocalist that almost broke through but never saw the light of day. Danny Webster was Keith Sweat before Keith Sweat ( I guess there wasn’t room in the world for more than one famous Daniel Webster); Steve Arrington’s vocal abilities were only exceeded by his lyric writing prowess. Starleana Young, a voice perfect for the “Hard Funk” of SLAVE. They broke up precisely at the wrong time. Mark Hicks (Drac) guitar licks were incredible and gave SLAVE a unique fusion feel in some of their jams. However, SLAVE was and always will be defined and identified by the sound of the HANSOLAR,S (Mark Adams) bass playing skills. No one sounded like him (except Sandy Anderson in Odyssey’s Inside Out). When the two Mark’s lost their lives in the same year, months apart, that was the day the music died. Steve Washington was the Fearless Leader but Drac was the Heart and Mr. Mark was the soul of, in my opinion, Ohio’s greatest Band and that's saying a lot. They didn’t have the polish or received the praise and pay of the Ohio Players, Lakeside, The Isley Brothers, Bootsy, Heatwave and others but after all these years it’s something about them that stands out. I believe it is "that Bass.”

I'm not a musician at all, in the summer of '77 this group with the great mark "hansolor" adams, had me and all my high school friends going crazy! To this day, getting ready to turn 63 years old and I still honor Mark listening to SLAVE everyday while I workout, RIH BROTHER MARK! WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE YOU IN OUR HEARTS!

I'm still searching for an answer to my question about which bass Mark, the Hanslor used to record on this album and the later Slave albums they recorded on Cotillion Records? I know about recording and EQ what it can do to sound. I know about his playing technique, I have a Fender Jazz and an Alembic Series I, both which he played, and I've come close to the sound but not quite. He had that three pickup modified Fender Jazz bass with the active electronics and I suspect that this is the bass he used on those recordings to get that unique tone out of his bass aside from outboard equipment. This is part of what has kept me a Slave fan since the beginning. If anyone know someone who knows about this, please send them my way! 🎸
I absolutely agree....Playing beside him on and off the stage and in the recording studio I am a witness. Mark was and is the best Funk bassist I have EVER heard!
Thank you so much man! I joined on bad enuff album....co wrote steppen out sang lead with Danny webster on that song and in and out....new plateau...I sang every song lead vocals and a duet with the great Floyd Miller.@@wdwilson
Yes man...Sorry it took so long to get back with you....Danny Webster came up to me after i sang ez lovin you and looked me in the eyes and said' Foot....i want you to sing all of the songs on this album" i almost fainted...my mentor letting me take over.....so he is responsible for me singing on all of these. I am singing falsetto on share your love with Floyd.@@wdwilson

Thank you for your post & comment! Makes me sick how people do for the love of money! Mark & others were gifted! I grew up listening to how gd these musicians were! It’s a rare gem now to find musicians that creative today!!!
One of my favorite groups. I saw SLAVE at Five Points in COLA, SC in '81 or '82!!! Also in concert with Frankie Smith and KANO. (During the same time frame)!!!
Wow. I came to YT to find a bass cover on the bassist for Slave. As a teen myself back in the late 70's this band was one that caught my attention from the start. I don't remember the name of that song with that iconic bass solo in it. The song had a line ," All of the ladies, all of them fine, all of them so lovely I can't make up my mind, but I'm looking at you girl from the corner of my eye..." . The bassline in this song blew me away. Mark was one of the bassist that influenced me to pick up a bass; the first being Jermaine Jackson, which I thought was doing the playing on those old J5 records only to find out it was Jamison and other bassists actually playing; anyway it was all good, because the bass today is my favorite instrument. The bass is the first line I'm listening to. Anyway not to be long about it; I was hooked on Mark's incredible bass playing. I really hadn't listened to their music in years, and coming to your video just now finding out that he passed on. And your advice is so valuable and needed for these young kids wanting to get into the music industry. From some of the things that I've read about past artist, they had really suffered because of all the most that's in that industry. Thanks for your insight and for the passion for what you do. Peace out.
Thank you for this video ... I'm speaking for the children when I say that Mark left a legacy ... in the 5 years he's been gone my eyes have been opened wide ... I'm very disappointed in the Columbus Police Dept... Det David Dennison hasn't investigated this case at all ... I have uncovered so much that they could have it makes me sick ...two individuals told me Mark was hit with a gun TWO ...one giving details that only someone who was there would know...I'm frustrated and tired because he was clearly murdered ...please any and everyone reading this share his story ... people are already talking ... and the main one who should be has remained silent about it...even saying they need their 'lawyer' present before being interviewed by detectives ... so yal can't imagine our frustration ...I will stay viligant and he will have Justice ...thank you once again!
You are most welcome Sheena we lost one of the greatest bass players that ever lived under so very sad circumstances and we demand justice for Mr Mark.
+Sheena Mitchell-Avery My dear lady, you have my deepest sympathies for the loss of your husband. Please know that we the fans, will keep praying for your family & for justice for Mark. He was such an inspiration to people, not just here but around the world. I have a friend here on YT that is from the UK who is a BIG fan of Mark's bass playing. I know that it's not much but know that we hurt with you as well. Maybe, if you haven't already, you can go to the state atty. general to force Columbus PD to do their jobs! May The Most High keep you and yours safe & at peace.
Sheena Mitchell-Avery We got you and your family, you just let us the fans know what to do when we need to do it, and we're there, I know it's hard, but girl you got this, YOU GOT THIS,... you not alone, I know it feels like it, but you not, Gods all over you, Mark is like, That's my baby, you stay strong, let us know what to do in each city, man, soooooo many people will turn out, Love you babygirl
+Morrisman64-2 I really appreciate this Brotha. Thank you for posting. I agree and you are right, I think The Hanslor was 15 when they recorded Slide. I was blown away. They sounded like they'd been recording for 20+ years. They were my absolute favorite group back then and Mark Adams is my #1 Greatest Funk Bassist of All Time. RIP Mr. Mark "The Handslor" Adams. You inspired us all.
Mark Adams was definitely one of my favorite bassist ever. When I was a teenager back in the late 70’s when I came across this band Slave, man that funky bass line from “Watching you” was just so mesmerizing. Adams was an early inspiration to want to check out the bass. But my very first influencer on bass was Jermaine Jackson, but later I learned it was Jameson actually on the recordings. Bernard Edwards, and Larry Graham was influencers also.
Wow...i stumbled upon this while looking for bass tabs for " SLIDE". I had no idea that slave were only a few years older than me when they made slide. REST IN POWER MR. MARK
The bassline to slide was so simplistic yet so funky , it was one of those basslines that bass players just starting out could learn and funk out with it. I heard he passed too but I didnt know it was a homicide, wow.
I agree that bass line was tight. It's been documented he was hit in the head with a bat and left for dead on the grass in the rain according to his common law wife.
It's sad none of his fellow band mates want anything to do with Mark or to help find closure, plus I didn't know he was murdered, thanks for sharing this
+WAYNE FOOTE Do you think, as a former member, that you could influence the investigation in any way? I appreciate your contributions to Dayton Funk history. I know that I'm assuming things but if members of the band don't care then no one else will. Not saying that you aren't that way but if it was me, whether we fell out or not, I would owe it to the man's family, particularly to any children, to see that justice would be done. To me, that's what black brothers should do for each other.
I appreciate your thoughts Geoffrey....it has nothing to do if we fell out or not. I live in san francisco and I mean.....my funds are extremely limited and I just don't understand why this situation has not been investigated properly with some arrests. It is very hard for me to influence the practically un-influence-ables is that a word? of these people...i mean it seems to be some kind of cover up....it happened a while ago...and I wasn't there...if I still lived in dayton there would be more that I would do. when this first happened i mentioned presenting this case to forensic files. Some of the people closest to him for decades of history with him don't seem to care at all! I WISH THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE IT....I do not hold any grudges against Mark.thank you for your thoughts. Foot Funk.
WAYNE FOOTE I appreciate your response, I agree that this needs to see some TV exposure. Maybe THEN we'll get something done about his murder because that's what it is. Forever a TRUE Fungkster!!!! Thanks.
Pretty neat. Back in 1979, my band out of the CA bay area was out on the road and playing at the 20 story Holiday Inn in Syracuse, New York. Slave was doing some shows downtown. and since they were staying at the same Holiday Inn and we were playing 6 nights a week there, they came in to see us and we got to hang out together for a few days. Nice people and great memories.
Hey man I follow you and your so right Mr Mark definitely inspired me to play bass man I wish you would put up some videos on how to play song like life can be happy, steal your heart away ect...the funk I would appreciate it a lot
Yo Brotha, Thank you So Much for Yr. TRIBUTE SPOKEN to Brotha Mark Adams. He Didn't Deserve to Meet his ending Like That! So Good to Hear He was an Inspiration to you & So Many Others. Do you know if there was or is There an Investigation into his Demise? His Soul CAN NEVER REST UNTIL THE THOSE RESPONSIBLE MEET JUSTICE! SAW A NICE INTERVIEW W/ FLOYD MILLER (THE OTHER DAY) ON " Truth in Rythm/FunkNStuff." He gave a Verbal History if the Band & It's Offshoots!
I caught PARLIAMENT - FUNKADELIC in 1979 at the Milwaukee Auditorium and SLAVE was the opener. DAMN!!! what a jam that night was!! SLAVE was already so good, and considering how young they were. RIP to all who have passed from those two legendary bands.
There are very few groups that can claim that " they adapted to the record company, if anything the record company adapted to them ! So I can honestly say that " Slave was one of the very few groups that crossed over to the commercial side ( because you gotta make money)but yet were able to still to throw that raw funk in your face even in a more commercialized setting and I have to reiterate to some of my fellow bass players who have a helluva man crush on Marcus Miller ( and rightfully so ) that it was Mark Adams that hit the Soul and R&B radio waves 1st before I or even most of the bass players I knew had even heard of Marcus Miller.... I didn't start hearing Marcus until 78 when he was with Lenny White , Lonnie Liston Smith and Chaka Khans " Naughty album. If I ever had a bass hero it was Mark Adams and with all do respect to the bass players who've and has played in Slaves band before and since his passing I say God bless you and thank you
erik dennard Marcus Miller I can't remember Marcus Miller but I remember Floyd Miller who was with Slave from the beginning Who was the Original lead singer singing Slide
SOMEBODY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, IT'S A DAMM SHAME WHY NOBODY WANTS TO COME FORWARD AND HELP, HIS FAMILY NEED SOME CLOSURE SO HE CAN R.I.P., LUV' YA MARK MY BROTHER!
Thanks 4 the contact , I myself is a bassist & guitarist and I loved the way mark played ,very influential.one day I was on my way to school ("back then ")I left the radio on and soon as I was about to close the door I heard " SLIDE " 4 the first time and I was stuck, like I miss the bus just to hear it till the end, I couldn't get the song out of my head,Yea I was hooked on SLAVE since.... by the way I love that picture of him in concert! peace Chas !
Thank you Sir, for this great informative history. I am Shocked to learn he was murdered and they were Teenagers!!!! R.I.Power, Mr. Mark Adams. I went to college, to learn Piano, and Music Theory, I and II. I Pray his Children’s Mother gets the closure she is seeking. ❤❤❤
We also lost Sandy Anderson who was the bassist on “Inside Out” by Odyssey. “Inside Out” and “Watching You” by Slave is the same song. If I’m not mistaken Steve Arrington may have played drums on both songs…
I live here in Dayton and he was not murdered. I talked to his son. The autopsy also said he had an aneurysm which when that happened he fell backwards onto his head. I don't think it's a secret that Mark had a drug problem which more than likely caused the aneurysm. The only person pushing this murder angle is his ex girlfriend who was and still is jealous of the woman who was his fiancee at the time this happened. Even going as far as saying the fiancee had something to do with it which is ridiculous. His own kids are not even pushing that
To The Person Who's ln this video it will be a pleasure to talk With you I am a friend of the Common- Law The mother Of his three children I've been trying to help her I'm hoping that maybe we can put our heads together cuz I have some ideas that might can help contribute to this madness I'm also a friend of Mr Steve Washington One of the founders of Slave who has been very ill so I'm hoping that all of you will pray for him as well
Per Tim "Tiny" Dozier from Slave. They didn't do many shows promoting their albums. There just really isn't much film footage out there to be seen unfortunately. SMH An overlooked jam from that first album was "You and me". Mark went crazy on that bass.
Thank you Morrisman for quick reply, I have been a Slave fan from the beginning & never got to see them live, just sat in my room learning all Mark Adams bass lines/slides. There's barely any info on Mark, is there any way to find detailed information on Mark Adams life and bass playing?
Larry Graham....the greatest bass player of all time in my opinion. The list goes on with Aaron Mills, Mark Adams, Verdine White, Marvin Isley, James Jamerson, Bootsy Collins, Marcus Miller, Cedric Martin, Luis Johson, Bernard Edwards, James Alexander. I probably missed a few, but this list is off the top of my head. Man....I miss the 70s music!!
Hey Morrisman, do you know how Mark Adams got named the Hansolor? I have read almost everything out there about him, still a lot of unanswered questions.
It had something to do with the theory of Hands Soloing here on earth. It seemed to be that kind of a concept by Mark from me speaking to him about it. he also told me that he got that sting on the bass from verdine White.
100% man I learn how to kill it on the bass by age 9 my teachers was slave records barnard edwards of chic and pleasure and the brothers Johnson and rick james .
Yes GirI............ I lived with Mark. He recruited me as lead singer in 1982 from here in San Francisco ca. I am singing every song on new plateau album including a duet with the great Floyd Miller on share your love. Mark let me take Steve Arrington's place and he always had a bass around him.@@rosilynmakeba1092
Marc Hicks left to work with Steve Washington and to do his own solo work and Mark stayed with the original Save until his sad and untimely passing. He remained a true hero and still is !
I took my nephew to see Drac/Slave at Morongo Casino in California and we were up front staring at Drac waiting for those solos . He came up to us and jammed and he knew we were digging it. Unfortunately he died right after that performance. Rip Drac
If you say Mr. MARK one more time. Just call him Mark or Mr.Adams...anyway Mark Adam's aka The Hansler and Slave was my favorite funk band . Never got the props they deserved
An extremely sad story. Mr. Mark Adams was only known in funk circles. However I think his bass playing was absolutely magnificent, his bass danced walked and talked. He was what marlon Brando was to acting, Frank Sinatra to singing, Charles Dickens to writing, Fred Astaire to dancing and Muhammid Ali to boxing. I believe his bass playing should be studied in university. Mark Adams and a Slave the baddest bass and hardest funk band in the land.
Mark legacy still moves us. I will never forget him i meant him and drac they still live in my ❤ can't never get drac out my mind saying hea mike there go's make at Berts environment in Detroit and he remembers me from Grand Rapids mi.
I'm from the UK and never saw these guys live. The album "Slave" was one of the first LP's I bought and as a bass player he was one of my heroes. He had a unique style which I try to this day to emulate. I went to from guitar to bass because of this guy. What a player!!!!!

The best live band ever, they sounded just like their records live in concert.
Mr Mark was the real fck’n deal on bass.
@@mackdanny1703 I’ll share this with Steve Arrington.

The greatest funk bassist of all time, PERIOD
I absolutely agree....Playing beside him on and off the stage and in the recording studio I am a witness. Mark was and is the best Funk bassist I have EVER heard!
@@waynefoote3781 it must have been super kool performing with him AND all the other great unsung giants of funk. What recordings did you play on?
Thank you so much man! I joined on bad enuff album....co wrote steppen out sang lead with Danny webster on that song and in and out....new plateau...I sang every song lead vocals and a duet with the great Floyd Miller.@@wdwilson

Sheena Mitchell-Avery
Sheena Mitchell-Avery We got you and your family, you just let us the fans know what to do when we need to do it, and we're there, I know it's hard, but girl you got this, YOU GOT THIS,... you not alone, I know it feels like it, but you not, Gods all over you, Mark is like, That's my baby, you stay strong, let us know what to do in each city, man, soooooo many people will turn out, Love you babygirl
I didn't know that had happened to Slave. Soo much untold history about us Black folk. Especially in music!
One of my idols on the bass, along with Bernard Edwards,...
Mr Mark is dearly missed
May God Bless him! Most excellent music! Loved that bass! I bought all their albums!
Indeed
Mark Adams was definitely one of my favorite bassist ever. When I was a teenager back in the late 70’s when I came across this band Slave, man that funky bass line from “Watching you” was just so mesmerizing. Adams was an early inspiration to want to check out the bass. But my very first influencer on bass was Jermaine Jackson, but later I learned it was Jameson actually on the recordings. Bernard Edwards, and Larry Graham was influencers also.
you have crazy timing man... I was just watching this last night.. always on point as usual
+Bo Marbuun Thanks Bo
My favorite bassist RIP
I'm just hearing of this in 2019 and ..... THIS IS SO F'N SAD AND I AM MAD AS ALL GET OUT!!! WOW THAT SUCKS!!! R.I.P BROTHER, WOW.
He had the best 70's Jazz Bass tone! Guys like Marcus should give him a shout-out in every interview!
Wow...i stumbled upon this while looking for bass tabs for " SLIDE". I had no idea that slave were only a few years older than me when they made slide. REST IN POWER MR. MARK
Indeed they were still kids jamming like grown men
The bassline to slide was so simplistic yet so funky , it was one of those basslines that bass players just starting out could learn and funk out with it. I heard he passed too but I didnt know it was a homicide, wow.
I agree that bass line was tight. It's been documented he was hit in the head with a bat and left for dead on the grass in the rain according to his common law wife.
The simplistic basslines are some of the best ones imo!!
Again , great commentary. Wow ! Drac, was only 17-18 when he played that solo, unbelievable. RIP Mark Adams..
A true legend
Drac was 16 mark was 15 when they recorded slide they were very young and funky as hell
@@calvinhancock9748 Drac was a beast !
Thanks for you words of wisdom ♥️🙏🏿🫵🏾
It's sad none of his fellow band mates want anything to do with Mark or to help find closure, plus I didn't know he was murdered, thanks for sharing this
Indeed so sad of a story to a legend.
Nice presentation bro! Thanks for your take on this....Mark was incredible.
Thanks indeed Mark was the best!!
Thanks.
Your welcome Geoffrey....
Mark "Mr. Mark" Adams the reason why I play bass.. so sad to hear he died the way he did
Mr Mark was 16 when he played slide. I was sold on bass at that exact moment STONE JAM was another awesome track
Volcano Rupture was funky too. The steady bass flow and the guitar solo.
Hey man I follow you and your so right Mr Mark definitely inspired me to play bass man I wish you would put up some videos on how to play song like life can be happy, steal your heart away ect...the funk I would appreciate it a lot
Yo Brotha,
Thank you So Much for Yr.
SAW A NICE INTERVIEW W/ FLOYD MILLER (THE OTHER DAY) ON " Truth in Rythm/FunkNStuff."
He gave a Verbal History if the Band & It's Offshoots!
I heard he made the top 10 bass players of all time. My opinion he is the best RIP Mark Adams & Mark (drac ) Hicks!☺
If I ever had a bass hero it was Mark Adams and with all do respect to the bass players who've and has played in Slaves band before and since his passing I say God bless you and thank you
Here, here!

Marcus Miller
I can't remember
Marcus Miller
but I remember
Floyd Miller who was with Slave
from the beginning
Who was the
Original lead singer singing

Great job. He also influenced me also in my younger years and now. He was different than any bass player I have heard to this day.
Mr. Mark was one of a kind he is missed
SOMEBODY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, IT'S A DAMM SHAME WHY NOBODY WANTS TO COME FORWARD AND HELP, HIS FAMILY NEED SOME CLOSURE SO HE CAN R.I.P., LUV' YA MARK MY BROTHER!
Indeed my friend
Thanks 4 the contact , I myself is a bassist & guitarist and I loved the way mark played ,very influential.one day I was on my way to school ("back then ")I left the radio on and soon as I was about to close the door I heard " SLIDE " 4 the first time and I was stuck, like I miss the bus just to hear it till the end, I couldn't get the song out of my head,Yea I was hooked on SLAVE since.... by the way I love that picture of him in concert! peace Chas !
Mr Mark is dearly missed
Slave was my favorite funk group of all time!!!!!
Thanks for sharing
Snapshot was and still is just brilliant
I live here in Dayton and he was not murdered. I talked to his son. The autopsy also said he had an aneurysm which when that happened he fell backwards onto his head. I don't think it's a secret that Mark had a drug problem which more than likely caused the aneurysm. The only person pushing this murder angle is his ex girlfriend who was and still is jealous of the woman who was his fiancee at the time this happened. Even going as far as saying the fiancee had something to do with it which is ridiculous. His own kids are not even pushing that
Thanks for this video, bro. Was wondering what happened to Mark.
To The Person
Who's ln this video it will be a pleasure to talk
With you
I am a friend of the

I've been trying to help her I'm hoping that maybe we can put our heads together cuz I have some ideas that might can help contribute to this madness I'm also a friend of
Mr Steve Washington
One of the founders of
Slave
who has been very ill so I'm hoping that all of you will pray for him as well
Why doesn't anybody post Live video concerts of Slave from Stone Jam, Just a Touch of Love days, I know there's some out there?
They can't for legal reasons
Per Tim "Tiny" Dozier from Slave. They didn't do many shows promoting their albums. There just really isn't much film footage out there to be seen unfortunately. SMH An overlooked jam from that first album was "You and me". Mark went crazy on that bass.
Another great video and very wise points.
Appreciate this. I preached this to my son as well ❤
Mr Mark was one of the best on the bass.
He should be in the rock n roll hall of fame
I Knew Mark Very Well. I Have Him On My Funk Track. Mark Was Caught Up In A Bad Life..... Love You Mark
LEGEND
Mark Adams passed away in Columbus, Ohio, in March of 2011, and "Drac" passed away in Dayton, Ohio, in June of 2011...
Thank you Morrisman for quick reply, I have been a Slave fan from the beginning & never got to see them live, just sat in my room learning all Mark Adams bass lines/slides. There's barely any info on Mark, is there any way to find detailed information on Mark Adams life and bass playing?
You can find on the net Mr mark life and times
I really hope TVone Unsung do a story on them that would be cool❤
Larry Graham....the greatest bass player of all time in my opinion. The list goes on with Aaron Mills, Mark Adams, Verdine White, Marvin Isley, James Jamerson, Bootsy Collins, Marcus Miller, Cedric Martin, Luis Johson, Bernard Edwards, James Alexander. I probably missed a few, but this list is off the top of my head. Man....I miss the 70s music!!
Hey Morrisman, do you know how Mark Adams got named the Hansolor? I have read almost everything out there about him, still a lot of unanswered questions.
The world will never know all of the truth sad to say
It had something to do with the theory of Hands Soloing here on earth. It seemed to be that kind of a concept by Mark from me speaking to him about it. he also told me that he got that sting on the bass from verdine White.
Did they ever get the headstone?
Thank you
100% man I learn how to kill it on the bass by age 9 my teachers was slave records barnard edwards of chic and pleasure and the brothers Johnson and rick james .
Very Nice !
Thanks
Who played bass for AURRA??
Steve Washington played the bass for Aurra and he's a member of Slave aka fearless leader
Mark Adams played bass on the first album on when I come hoke....Steve Washington on every album.
@waynefoote3781 I was right! Slaps extra hard!!
Yes GirI............ I lived with Mark. He recruited me as lead singer in 1982 from here in San Francisco ca. I am singing every song on new plateau album including a duet with the great Floyd Miller on share your love. Mark let me take Steve Arrington's place and he always had a bass around him.@@rosilynmakeba1092
what about benard edwards
But what happened to louis johnson?? Still a mystery!!

Great review. Your right, u really have to practice if u want to become a musician.

+joe cool Thanks Joe
His son Mark Akridge is carrying on da Fungk with his group Son of Slave
Wonderful
PLEASE REVIEW THE REVIEW ITS DARK YOU CAN'T SEE YOU... BUT YOU DO TELL TRUTH
Why did Adams and Hicks leave Slave?
The usual in bands Money/ Musical differences /etc.
Marc Hicks left to work with Steve Washington and to do his own solo work and Mark stayed with the original Save until his sad and untimely passing. He remained a true hero and still is !
Thanks.@@waynefoote3781
He was I e of my idols .....mo milla the parrot aka. Mo milla

So sad 😭 let justice ⚖️ investigation find where the incident report, rip mark
TRUE GOOD ADVICE!
All of the 70s band were ahead of their time...ewf was also in their early 20s playing very seasoned.
Indeed
I took my nephew to see Drac/Slave at Morongo Casino in California and we were up front staring at Drac waiting for those solos . He came up to us and jammed and he knew we were digging it. Unfortunately he died right after that performance. Rip Drac
WOW! You got Dracs last performance. What an enduring memory indeed!
🙏🙌🤜🤛
Bass Line on which tune? I'm sure the whole album didn't have one bass line.
C mon man you know we are takin bout!!
THIS IS SHOW BUSINESS 2020.
51?! That's young.
Mr Mark is missed
Don't forget Larry Graham
Bassist Jaco Pastorious was killed in a similar way
I remember by a Club bouncer
He was not murdered. The autopsy reported that he had an aneurism and when he fell he hit the back of his head.
Fell on grass???
blunt force trama
Bernard Edwards died from pneumonia.
Drinking and drugging will only put you on the "wrong" side of your rainbow..
Slave didn't have a single song that wasn't good...
