Yeah. All the out of place antagonistic attitudes/dialogue and angsty writing would actually fit in the mirror universe. Even after season 1 where things started to get a little better, it still never quite felt right or "Trek like". Old trek always had it's hefty share of cheese and the occasional poorly written episode too, but it carried a subtle sense of class/dignity. Characters in discovery are (generally) just too pent up and over dramatic.
So... does it mean captain Killy became the next empress in that universe? because she was the most loyal captain of the empire and the highest-ranking officer present at the moment the rebellion was put to death and, of course, the most trusted officer of the empress and an officer capable of putting aside her instinct to look for personal glory in order to do what's best for the stability and interest of the empire.

TO start, I have nothing against the actress, but I've known some women with attitude like Burnham in real life the way the idiot writers in STD wrote her (both mirror and normal Burnham type). As "hot eye candy" as they are, their attitude is something you'll never be able to settle down with for the long term unless you're also a psychopath to "even" things out. Some crazy chicks are reportedly "amazing" in the sack, but not even I would want to get near a possible psycho. To be honest; a female cousin of mine who's still enlisted in the army says that a woman as insubordinate as Burnham in the show are fast-tracked out of military service with a dishonorable discharge - no demotions, no bothering for a second/third/fourth/what-have-you chance - just a straight up court-martial and kicked out ASAP. And depending on the severity of the infraction for the dishonorable discharge; may include a stay at Leavenworth - be it temporary, or permanently. Unlike Tom Paris from Voyager, whose infraction was about covering up his own accidental pilot error - Burnham's "infraction" was intentionally instigating a mutiny on board her own ship in the very first episode of the goddamn series.
Worst....background fighting....ever. Simply no gravity to it, just going through the motions without intent, though the Cinematography certainly didn't do them any favors. Two leads did much better, but could still be improved.
