Great video and impressed that is this is ur first youtube video. You seem so used to it and so confident and the set up and narration are 👍🏽 great video
I feel you, UA-cam is interesting for all of us and we all have to start somewhere. Don’t be shy and keep going. At the end you could say something like „see you next time“ 🎉
Nice, love that you put Bham on the map and captured your experience in such quality. Seemed like yall had a great time especially at the falls, one of my favorite spot. I also own the x100v and can agree its a fun all arounder that's just well built. Recently traded in the Sony rx100vi for traveling abroad for the GRIII for everyday casual outings with the family where having a camera is only second thought. It's amazing what you can capture in those moment as well. Both have their purposes pros and cons so I can justify both in my kit.
Yeah that’s the thing with every camera I think. They’ll all have their own pros and cons and situations that they’re best suited for. It’s kind of hard to imagine just only owning one camera seeing as how I got each of mine for a completely different purpose haha. I’m glad you’ve got a good thing going with your setup too!
Thanks a lot! Yeah I could see it being a pretty great little camera for vlogs, although it lacks the usual 3.5mm and instead has a 2.5mm microphone input so you’d probably need to get an adapter, which I suppose isn’t a big deal haha
Dope first video man. I’m thinking of starting my own channel too and this give me a little confidence to try. What are you using to shoot in your office?
You totally should! My stuff is linked in the description, I use a canon R6ii and a sigma 35mm for that shot, as well as a Rode NT1 mic. I think the most important part is decent audio. An iPhone is good enough to shoot with but you’ll probably want some good audio for your voice for sure!
Ok I’m super impressed that video came out of the x100v. The lack of stabilization sucks for me. But i mostly use mine for photo. I love how portable it is. And that with the filter its weather sealed. Took it on a boat day and loved having it
Right? Honestly I had never tried the video feature out before this (I’m sure most of us who got this camera bought it with the photos in mind) but I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks for watching :)
You’re quite comfortable in your first video and your content is interesting. Watched your “one tip for next level photography”, for some reason I thought you were a Fujifilm shooter rather than an R6MII/5DMIV one. There you go, you have an X100V! Thanks for the video, subbed.
Haha yeah I’ve been a Canon guy since day one. Not for any particular reason, I just happened to buy a rebel t4i for my first camera and then began to collect canon lenses, you know how it goes haha. The x100v is probably my favourite camera to use though, it’s just so fun. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼
Had one, sold it. Yes it's nice but I had a hard time with lack of stabilization and missed other focal lengths. Agree that smaller is better, currently using an Sony A6700. It clicks a lot of boxes for me, small, amazing AF, IQ, stabilization, nice choice of lenses.
Awesome first video!!! I work in tv/film/commercial production and you seem very natural on camera!! I only have one suggestion which could have just been my experience but maybe try turning down the background music just a tad while you’re speaking because I found it a little distracting and hard to focus on what you were saying but other than that I thought this was a amazing video!!
Thanks so much and thank you for the tip! I agree completely, I watched it again a few days after the upload and took notes on what I could improve and that was one of them. For my second video I actually looked into how to properly mix the audio and I think it sounds better than this one. Thanks for checking out the video! 🙏🏼☺️
Nice video. I owned the x100v and returned it, not because of the image quality, but of the photography experience, simply didn't agree with me. Instead bought the Ricoh GRIIIx, which agrees with me for 100%
Hi Levi! Very nice first video. Just pick a better content next time as gear appraisals are divisive and you have decent photo/videography to show. I can argue why the x100v is a superb camera and I can also explain why it is not my choice and likely it will never be. But who cares as long as the shot I am looking at is technically great and pleasing to my eyes? Most often I am suprised that the best shots are taken with a nothing particular gear. Happy shooting!
Really awesome review, especially for your first video!! I’m in the market for a new Fuji after finally decided to upgrade my X10! Chopping and changing between the 100v, XE4 and XS20 I mostly shoot travel and street photography and love a simple point and shoot - do you have any thoughts? Thanks dude!
Thanks a lot! The x100v would be a great choice as long as you’re comfortable with the fixed lens. My buddy who does travel/street photography shoots with an XE4 which is essentially the same thing just with the option to change the lens. Same ability to do the film simulations and everything!
@@camerasandcoloursthanks so much man, that’s exactly my thought process with the XE4 v 100v! Do you ever feel “restricted” with the fixed lense of the 100v? This will be my only camera but think my style of shooting would suit the 100v
@barrybbenson3879 I don’t, no. But part of the reason I bought it was specifically because of the fixed lens. Super easy to travel with, can fit right in your pocket.
Great vid with some interesting points. But, let's be honest, this camera is not 'super-affordable', it's over hyped price is ridiculous. Secondly, why do people want to fit a camera into their pocket these days, it ain't any good in there... surely round the neck or in the hand is far more appropriate unless it's just a fashion statement. And let's face it, the X-E4 with pancake is just as effective, more readily available, similar size (unless you've got a camera in the pocket fetish), and it's a lot, lot cheaper. Even an old X-T1 is no heavyweight and can by just as stealthy (and way cheaper). Sure, the X100V may feel good to some, inspire some to shoot, and give the results some would like. But the ULTIMATE travel camera... doubtful to most.
You nailed the UA-cam trifecta….
Fuji x100v, coffee montage, low-fi music.
Joking aside the Fuji is a great camera and good first video.
Haha some things just go hand-in-hand
Great first video! Nice job breaking everything down :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for checking the channel out 🙏🏼☺️
So happy you started a channel!

Thank you very much! It’s encouraging to read that 🙏🏼

Great video! Just ordered one from Amazon last night, hopefully they fulfill my order😂

So good!!!! I love this
good job bro~
Great video man! I feel the same about trying to vlog w/ my camera too lol. I’ve been needing a nice little digi camera. Might just pick up the fuji 🤔

@@camerasandcolours looking forward to the upcoming videos 👍🏻
can you please tell me what's the video settings?
thanks in advance💛
For the Fuji? I shot most everything at 24fps, some at 60fps for the slow motion shots, with the Color Chrome film simulation
yes for fujifilm x100v

A surprising review given that most people fall in love with it for the photography experience haha!

Great video. Using the 100V for video on a gimbal is a really interesting idea
That little thing is a computer camera? Hell yeah! That’s fire
1st video?? Man... you really should do it more time. If the first is this qualitty, I can imagine the next.
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! Next one in a couple hours :)

I think x100v is just for recording ,not for land photography。because 35mm is not wide or long!
I agree about landscapes! I prefer at least 24mm but preferably even wider
Let me give you a like and subscribe just for starting bro😎👍🏽
