Turkey Burgers with bacon

  • Ground turkey fried in bacon grease adds to the flavor of the burger. I topped with bacon and sautéed mushrooms & onion. I wasn’t going to film this but I decided to after frying the bacon. This was a recipe I made up, threw together last minute. I put some Italian bread crumbs and flour in a bowl and added salt, pepper, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, basil and mixed in the ground Turkey. If the Turkey meat is too sticky add a bit more flour. Then roll into a fist sized meatball. Lightly coat the ball with flour and then flatten out on non-stick foil. Fry your bacon. When done remove and set on a plate lined with paper towel. Remove the pan of grease from burner for a couple minutes so the temp is not too hot for the hamburgers. Add burgers too the bacon grease on medium heat. After burgers cook remove and place on a plate and cover with foil. Add onions and mushrooms to remaining bacon grease and sauté. Once done add burgers back to frying pan and add cheese and let melt. Then top how you like on the bun.
