Grandmas traditions. New Mexico
Переглядів 79 годин тому
Clips on how we try to carry on grandma/great grandmas Christmas traditions from New Mexico. She left us years ago. But we turned it into a bigger family tradition. We don’t have as many people here like when she and grandpa were alive. Maybe when I find my old video cam recorder I can upload those videos. #mexicancuisine #newmexico #christmastraditions #grandmacooking #grandmarecipe #christmas
Dollar Tree candle craft for fall and Halloween.
Переглядів 2112 годин тому
Tried the candle hack that everyone is posting. Not as easy as it appears. Messy craft too. Definitely not for kids because of hot wax. But try it and you may find a new craft you love. You can make it simple and skip the whipped cream topping. #halloween #dollartree #craft #candlemaking #candlecraft #fallcrafts #dollartreecrafts #holiday #holidaycrafts #scentedcandles

Easy Ramen and egg-rolls
Переглядів 42Місяць тому
Easy semi-homemade meal. Low budget. Great for college students and teens who are learning to cook too. Used ramen and added vegetables and sauce. Egg rolls are quick and easy. Egg rolls use a ground pork or you can use hamburger but it’s usually pork, chicken or sausage. Chopped cabbage or a bag of already shredded cabbage that has the carrots in it. If not you’ll have to shred a small carrot....

Green Chilé New Mexico
Переглядів 252 місяці тому
Made Green Chilé how much grandma did. This was without meat. Only thing I think I should have done is I could have browned the roux a bit more. Making your own Chilé is easy and cheaper than buying jarred. Sorry the editing app I use seems to be not working well. So if video is not great it’s because it was glitching.
Butter chocolate pudding cake
Переглядів 5372 місяці тому
I used a butter cake “boxed” mix according to box directions. Pour into greased and floured baking dish. Set aside. Make instant box chocolate pudding. When the chocolate becomes thickened spread on top of the cake batter evenly. Bake at 350 30-45 min some ovens may take 60min but watch the cake so you don’t over cook it. You can flip the cake once it’s cooled a bit if you want the pudding on t...

Chilé Caribé New Mexico
Переглядів 182 місяці тому
This is a chilé my grandma would make in the blender. It’s easy. It uses a lot of fresh garlic and garlic power. Water and a bit of sugar to take the edge off. It’s thick like a malt or shake. You can use to cook in other dishes like she would put some in her posolé or menudo or top on eggs and potatoes or tacos and tostadas or even use to make enchiladas or put in a wrapped burrito. I never se...
Turkey Burgers with bacon
Переглядів 1003 місяці тому
Ground turkey fried in bacon grease adds to the flavor of the burger. I topped with bacon and sautéed mushrooms & onion. I wasn’t going to film this but I decided to after frying the bacon. This was a recipe I made up, threw together last minute. I put some Italian bread crumbs and flour in a bowl and added salt, pepper, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, basil and mixed in the ground Turkey. If t...
Fried breaded liver and onion gravy
Переглядів 1673 місяці тому
First time cooking liver. Making it for my elderly mom whose iron levels are low. I think I prefer the crispy edges compared to the thicker middle. But it sure won’t be my to go to meal for me. But those who love liver then here you go. My grandma never soaked or breaded hers but I saw a recipe that did this and it looked good so I tried it.

@@RoastedSushiiI literally just put the tree down to get sun. I sat down to drink my coffee. And noticed he was walking oddly. I grabbed my cellphone to record when I saw he had the sticky bug things stuck on his butt.

Thank you for this video. I always deep fry my corn tortillas, and they don't come out great every time, so I'll do them this way now. But, after I cook the tortillas, I fill them with meat and cheese, then I heat up in the microwave.
