If I may clarify my comment on the 'K' marking on the G36C - it's a C model i.e. 'Compact', so we would not expect it to have a K ('Kurz')-marked receiver. The obvious explanation is that it was built on a K receiver with a semi-auto only trigger group and C barrel, handguard and carrying handle - but UK police do not use the K so it's a bit odd. (NB - edited from my original comment as I made an actual mistake in that one!)

@@jehoiakimelidoronila5450 I suspect the issue isn't to do with the length of the barrel, but the marking on the receiver. Just an FYI regarding the General Dynamics RM277R - it used a different cartridge from the MCX Spear that was much lower chamber pressure and polymer cased. One of the big selling points was how much lighter a standard ammo load would be (30% IIRC) and that they didn't need the same chamber pressure as others to reach the required range. I was rooting for the bullpup myself as they just make so much sense :)

As a G36C fan, I am very glad to see one anywhere I go. Also as a side note on the PF51 (P50), the game actually mentions it is originally a semi automatic weapon that's been modified for automatic fire. Which is nice. I also did not know the XCE Bar was a real gun, very cool.

Regarding the grenade launcher I’m pretty sure the games excuse is that the shell is like split in half so it houses two projectiles… even though the firing pin would have to modified for that to work.
Probably something similar to the 3GL that came from the Metal Storm program, which is a 3 shot 40mm grenade launcher that uses the superposed load principle and electric priming in combination to produce a grenade launcher where you can fire 3 times before you need to replace the WHOLE barrel assembly.
@@44R0Ndin That's what I was going to say. If you look at the shell when it is loaded, the front looks like it is split in two, so I am guessing that the in-game explanation is that it is an electronically fired cartridge that fires half of the shell per shot.
4:44 The RM68 appears to have two kinds of reload animation/sequence. The one Jonathan noted using the right hand to replace the magazine is for a partial reload for when the gun isn't completely empty. The "correct" with using the left hand to reload is for when the gun has emptied its entire magazine and thus using the left hand after putting in a fresh magazine then follows up with pulling the charging handle.
which makes it even more dumb than usual, taking your hand off the trigger in the exact situation where you would need it there in case you have to use the single round left in the chamber.
it might have also be done to elongate the partial reload to keep all the timings the same, which is a weird decision from a gameplay perspective but would make animation variation implementation easier. From an artistic perspective the animations in the more recent BF games are super clean and weighty, they've done a great job in that department.
@@dickizzinya9085 the rm277 in mw2 has that as well. For some reason they turned the magazine release buttons near the trigger into the bolt release, despite the gun having a unique bolt release on the right side. All I need is a breakdown of Killzone's weapons just to see how much sense he can make of it, and to see some Killzone representation on the internet again.
Jonathan, the "K" in G36K means "kurz" or short. It's just the german designation for the short carbine model. Also as a german, I don't mind american guns being attributed to us! =)
@@forzikt No, the C was used to mean Carbine in G36c, since they had made the G36k prior to it, which used Kurz instead of Karabiner because, and I can only assume, it wasn't short enough to call a carbine.
I'd absolutle want to see Johnatan talk about the Deus Ex HR and MD weapons, since he mentioned again, and he mentioned like years ago that he played it and would be amazing to hear his opinion about it
There IS a two-barreled grenade launcher. It's soviet-made ДП-64 «Непрядва» or DP-64 Nepryadva. It was made for sea use (surfaced submarines, ports, military ships and so on) against combat swimmers or other special forces. It is not 37 mm, though, the caliber is 45 mm, but that's okay, I guess :D
I was bummed the RM277 Amicus didn't win the Next Generation Squad Weapon program. Glad it is in video games though. The other companies you couldn't remember who worked on it was LoneStar Future Weapons. Which is now owned by True Velocity, who made the polymer cased rounds for it.
There is a very experimental coilgun in the commercial market. Ian from Forgotton Weapons did a video on it. Would be interesting to see Jonathan react to it
Happy I found this series, always a good watch. I would like to see FEAR's weapons covered, its a good mix of real life but slightly off weapons and totally bizarre energy weapons.
One thing to note, is that handheld portable coil guns already exist. They may not be particularly useful or effective right now but Ian from Forgotten Weapons has done 2 videos on 2 coil guns. ua-cam.com/video/eAHKS0nVlL4/v-deo.html - GR-1 Anvil ua-cam.com/video/EwHRjgVWFno/v-deo.html - EMG-02
The railgun looks extremely similar to the GM 6 Lynx, the bullpup .50 BMG rifle. I immediately saw the similarity in the mag well and rear end, but upon comparing them, aside from the screen and battery assembly, it's a Lynx.
I think the proper nomenclature is "less lethal" as opposed to "less than lethal" now to underscore that those rounds can actually be lethal. Also, that Beretta/True Velocity bullpup is not canceled, it's being offered on the civilian market, so you have still a chance to shoot it! The idea and execution of the cartidge seems to be great so you should try it out if you have a chance.
With the SPH Explosive Launcher the reason given for 2 shots in game is that its actually 2 shots that are stacked and fired electronically (similar to how metal storm worked) with a standard rear case so it can be shot out of normal grenade launchers with no modification needed.
We already have hand held rail/coil guns. Ian fired one on Forgotten Weapons. It of course isn't very powerful and the pieces of steel rod it fired tended to tumble, but it's at least the beginnings of this firearms technology being a real thing.
One thing I was hoping to see brought up here is that for some strange reason the G36 has a 20 round capacity even tho its clearly the standard 30rnd one. And if you get the extended mag it still only goes up to 30, but first of all the mag itself looks weird, but it also looks like a 60rnd mag
Bf2042 is horrible when it comes to having correct magazine models and round count in them. It's been like that since it came out. Really weird thing to do
@@TheMusicftw1it has high power round as a default mag (less damage drop at longer range), and for sake of balance it default mag can hold 20 rounds, but the standard round with 30 rounds mag can be unlocked later.
I came here to wonder the same thing. He says that handheld coil and rainguns existing in the next 20 years is absurd. Meanwhile I'm like...both already exist. They're prototypes, sure, but they're surprisingly capable for prototypes. I fully believe that railguns and coilguns will see major strides in the next 20 years.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it's because the EMG-02 is extremely underpowered for it's size? It is a start though. I could see a coilgun like that in 20 years time. Better supercapacitors and batteries. Maybe superconducting coils too.
The point Johnathan makes about coil guns being rather unlikely is this: Carrying the power supply alone is an unreasonable burden for soldiers or military personnel (and will certainly be so in 20 years' time), considering the weight of regular equipment, which is seldom less than 30 kg. Batteries and electrical components in general are usually heavy and carry a certain potential danger for the user. Especially with the current doctrine of using unmanned equipment, such as drones, to keep the casualty rate as low as possible. A soldier who dies only brings something to the enemy side. I think it is more likely that we will move from projectile weapons directly to "energy beam weapons" than produce energy-loaded projectile weapons. But even that is still in an unpredictable future. Edit: Above all, a new weapon system must bring with it incredibly many more advantages than the existing ones. So here's the question: what does a modern M4 currently weigh with a loaded 30-round magazine plus the spare magazines in the vest carrier? Can the energy weapon undercut this weight and what other advantages does it bring me? We have all heard and read about burnt-out e-bikes and e-cars of all kinds and know how difficult these fires are to put out. I wouldn't want to carry a battery like that around in a combat situation. The projectiles that could potentially hit me are more than enough for me.
I'm sure Jonathan is aware of the ArcFlash coil guns but I think he was referring to EM guns capable of actually outperforming conventional "powder guns". As he hinted, a viable candidate threshold for that would require meeting or exceeding the performance of DMRs or anti-materiel rifles. The 10mm square bore railgun that I used to manage could accelerate 1 gram projectiles to around 3000 m/s but was powered by a room full of 8000 V capacitors. Our best ever firing rate was about 1 shot per week, but we were an aerospace research project, not a military technology development programme. Not least from current interests in electric vehicle developments, power supplies should be becoming more effective with regard to power per unit volume or per unit mass. But our experience was that power supply work was the least favourite part of the EM gun research, as seen by military funding agencies. That's why I really applaud the work that ArcFlash are doing.
I think True Velocity might have been planning to bring a civilian version of the General Dynamics NGSW (what 2042 calls the RM68) to the market and calling it the Amicus, but I don't know if that ever really came to fruition. They just have 1 video of it on UA-cam from what I can see. Otherwise, that could be Jonathan's way of obtaining one and adding it to his collection of bullpups.
If it's using the weird polycase ammo I dont see an appreciable market for it, but using 308/6.5Creed/.277 Fury and SR 25 magazines there will be some market. Probably the same people buying FDE SCAR17s a few years ago.
I reckon the Cyberpunk depiction of rail guns is more realistic (not in size but in battlefield role) in that they are not there as the main service weapons but are there in situations that require heavy penetrative power for instance when shooting through walls or thick body armour. I will say I think the Tech Shotguns make little sense without a destructive environment as I think the role they would play IRL would be as breaching weapons where rather than shooting at specifically the hinges on a door you could shoot out a section of the wall
I don't think the Rosch MK4 would be too futuristic. The weapon is surprisingly similar to ArcFlash Labs EMG-02 CoilGun that you can buy and use today in usa. However from Forgotten weapons videos about the coilgun and its predecessors EMG-01 & GR-1 Anvil leads me to believe that their accuracy and power aren't there yet. If I remember correctly.
The G36C (C="Compact") is a compact variant and a further development of the G36K. It has a shorter barrel than the G36K, and a four-prong open-type flash hider or a birdcage type flash hider.
PKM can actually use disintegrating links as it pulls the cartridge. Ukraine actually made one out of plastic, Armourer's Bench did a video on it. The one that "shoves rim and all" is the VZ.
Yeah, the rim keeps a 'push through' belt from being a good idea (since the rim would get hung up on the belt link as it's being pushed) but the way disintegrating links work is perfectly compatible with rimmed cartridges. It just needs to have links that will be pinned together when a round is pushed into them when being belted up.
The railgun battery does change depending on the battery the gun either fires a super powerful armor-piercing shot with it being single charge up for a long time round, a second battery that has a slight charge up 3 burst fire mode, and a fully automatic mode with no charge up.
17:13 on disintegrating belts. There are plenty of firearms that use disintegrating belts that cannot allow a round driven forward. Most the the Browning belt feds (1919, M2, etc...) have links around the case bottle neck, so the round is extracted backwards and the link disintegrates anyway
You've probably seen this 50 times, but for the railgun? The battery swaps depending on what fire mode you're in. I don't know if that would really change anything though.
How cool would it be if you had a crazy strong futuristic weapon (Railgun) but it has a quirk (You need to reload/manage both the magazine and power supply) *(cough Metros Tikhar and Railgun cough)*
What Jonathan is not aware of is that there actually already exists a prototype for a handheld coilgun. Ian from Forgotten Weapons has put out two videos about the very first iteration and an already improved version of it. It is still rather low power for a projectile weapon but it works.
So I looked it up, the difference between the G36K and G36C is that the K version is a shortened version of the original G36 (k meaning “kurz” in this) and the C is an even shortened version where the K has a 12.5 inch barrel and the C has a 9.0 inch barrel
At 5:20 - I agree with Jonathan about modern optical sights being robust enough, but surely the main reason to fit canted altenrate sights is for a different engagement range? Usually you have a non-magnified sight alternated with a primary magnified sight, so if the fight changes range, you use the appropriate sight. A non-magnified red-dot paired with irons is pointless - just carry an extra battery if you're worried.
Absolutely love the series and the tradition of breaking Jonathan mentally through cursed guns. Would be awesome to see Jonathan reacts to weapons of F.E.A.R. and Max Payne series. The guns from those old school timers deserve some attention from this chad
Everything or Nothing has the weird situation where nearly everything has the capacity made wrong at the last minute (the demo had correct capacity), and the models all being very crude even for the era.
In regards to the SPH 37mm launcher, I like to think it is just a less-lethal launcher that was repurposed by the no-pats with some kind of custom-tooled lethal round. It doesn't explain the fact that multiple operatives on opposing sides made the exact same thing but, hey, its a video game.
That G36K has to be an armorer's special if it's a British SWAT piece. The KEs and KVs are export versions of the K, so it's a mystery where that one came from.
Don't forget that British Aerospace used to own H&K and would have been happy to produce batches of bespoke models to satisfy orders from individual police forces.
Jonathan , just a thought about the sph explosive launcher`s dual shot single barrel issue ..... could it be an innovation along the lines of how rounds would be fired from the metal storm ? sequentially mounted rounds ? ie 1 in front of the other ? otherwise yeah strange choice with that one
The grenade launcher doing 2 shots is likely based off of the metal storm system of having 1 cartridge containing 2 shots and an electronic primer setting each shot off with one barrel
I would love to him react to more weird weapon designs that are really unconventional like weapons from Serious sam with the semi auto rocket launcher, the brutal chainsaw launcher, the bomb carrying parrot etc.
Seconded the idea for Johnathan to go over the weapons of the Serious Sam series. Even the dual revolvers you start with are pretty dang interesting, what with their "explanation" for the unlimited ammunition for them.
The irl RM68 had a weird hybrid gas system with a recoil mitigation system and according to some people who have shot it was very light recoiling for the muzzle energy.
Now in terms modern handheld railguns there is an company that makes an e-shotgun that is a coil gun that shoots rapid fire metal discs but the projectiles even on the highest settings are going at about the same speed as air guns.
I would have to re find the name, but there is a .22 caliber rail/coil rifle available for purchase in the U.S right now, it's $3,000 for a .22 cal, but it does exist
I didn’t realise the XCE BAR was real either, I figured since it somewhat gave me Desert Tech SRS vibes it was just a BF-ised futuristic iteration of that… Also can second that point about slapping mags while reloading. In Army Cadets we would get a grilling for doing that both in drills and when live firing the L98A2s or the L86 LSWs. Got it hammered into us that you kinda wiggle the mag when it’s in the well to ensure it’s seated… but never slap it.
The 2 shot grenade launcher seemed inspired by the multiple launch GLs back in the 90s that had multiple rounds in one barrel and were activated electronically from front to back.
I am not sure if Jonathan used to point out the technical inaccuracies of the fire arms, but, I noticed that the G36C in game hold 20 rounds in a magazine while as far as I know, it should be 30. Just thought I mention it...
I would very much love to see Jonathan react to Fallout 4 weapon mods, specifically the vast array of MP5 mods to rate the accuracy or believability of them
In theory (assuming you had the power source to run it) a rail/coil gun would have higher magazine capacity (with the same physical sized magazine) because it's only a projectile rather than a cartridge
True but then yo'd have to carry the much greater mass and volume of the power supply as well. There might also be a greater need to have some kind of sabot around the projectile, for example to provide the railgun armature and, depending on the application, the sabot mass may count as a parasitic mass, as does the propellant mass in a powder gun.
That G36K is a thing of beauty. I keep telling myself I don't need another gun, and a G36 is unobtainium, but there is Tommybuilt.. and I have a homeless Aimpoint pro.
I though a $700 red dot on a $600 handgun felt bad, a $3500 gun on a $500 red dot feels worse 😂 I couldnt care less about HK weapons but Tommybuilt is definitely a cool company. If you got the money, do it.
Canted iron sight would be useful with the use of a scoped rifle, although if you’re using a scoped rifle I doubt you’d be wanting to run around any close quarters buildings, but when that would happen it’s better having sights than attempting hipfire, but at that point why not have a canted red dot, or a scope that has a red dot or irons included onto it
I'm sure somebody already answered it , but the "K" , i would assume is for the German Version "Kurz"- literally "Short". Its a bit Longer than the C ( Compact ) I'm not sure about the Civilian Version but if i recall correctly the Military K variant didnt have a Picatinny Rail but came with the "Default" x3 and Red dot Optics - thats the only "odd" thing i notice here I loved the G36 when I was doing service back in the Day. Was nice to shoot and a blessing to have on Marching considering its low weight
I’m reasonably certain Ian from Forgotten Weapons fired a handheld coil gun. So I’m not so sure in twenty years there won’t be one on the market or in use somewhere.
@jonathanferguson Does the GR-1 "Anvil" not count as a handheld coil gun? I know it is not powerful and is gimmicky, but it functions none the less. Just your thoughts on it would be interesting. I know Forgotten Weapons did a video on it as well.
The Railgun pick up in the Last Stand BF4 DLC is a bit more of what you're talking about. You don't change the battery, but it deals massive amounts of damage with a single round breach type loading system
Funny, the RM68 reload is how I reload bullpups, including magazine-fed rifles and bullpup shotguns. I find it much more natural and comfortable than using my left hand the way I would with an AR pattern rifle.
Could we get another Hunt Showdown ep? There's a bunch of interesting/niche weapons including one he specifically mentioned wanting the devs to add last time.
I'd assume that, with the G36, the "C" stands for Carbine which is "Karabiner" in German. So that might be where the confusion comes from. -> I just checked wikipedia, and apparently, the K stands for "kurz" (German for short), which amounts to the same thing.
I didn't quite understand the part about the sights on the RM68. The russian optic, that looks like a picatinny rail version of the OKP-7, has it's own battery housing and to my eyes it seems the other sights as well. Is the rail on the gun looks so dissimilar to the picatinny rail that it wouldn't fit?
the G36K... the K stands for Karabiner (german for carbine). i dont know why the g36c is marked g36k. maby the useing the same parts. cause it is a modular system after all.
I think it’d be really interesting to see Jonathan’s reaction to the guns in Cry of Fear, they’re not that many, and they’re basic, but the animations are very well done and it has the very rare to see VP70 with an accurate ROF
I sadly don´t know too much about your G36c and its markings. But in Sweden we say karbin instead of carbine and kompakt instead of compact. I have noticed that the English languadge seem to hate the letter K for some reason. Could it have been imported after having been marked?
The difference between a G36K and a G36C is barrel length. The G36K ("Kurz", which is German for short) is slightly longer than the G36C ("Compact") by abouts 10 cm.
You saying we won't have handheld coulguns by 2042 is a bit odd, considering we have handheld coulguns *now* The EMG-01 and EMG-02 are both handheld, man portable coilguns. They have less power than a .22, but they're also pretty homemade. I could see an experimental coilgun by 2040 if we can get better supercapacitors and more energy dense batteries. That seems to be the limiting factor.
I agree that power supply technology is one of the main limiting factors. Perhaps progress in electric vehicles (and other tech like industrial laser cutters) will generate useful spin off for for EM guns.
Only thing I could imagine the devs were thinking when designing the 2 shot sph launcher is maybe metal storm, It's old tech at this point and never was practical enough for military use.
The weekly reminder that the royal armories doesnt have a Sig P220 subversion with the fireselect/safety on the slide. They live of donations , and im sure theyd appreciate this specific model to complete that line. They have the regular version..
My understanding is the K means Compact, of course this is conjecture but my reasoning is because G-36 C meaning Carbine and "K" being the German version for English's "C". My only supporting "evidence" is In R6S Mute has access to the H&K MP5-K which is configured in a more compact design like the folding stock and 8" barrel. Once again just conjecture but it makes sense to me. Edit: On the SPH Launcher that has bugged me so bad since it appeared but I've come to terms with it because of a small idea. That being it has ben electronically modified to fire a weird "smart" munition. Instead of the shell being one single shot it behaves like a over-under shotgun but only in its casing, not the launcher itself, so a duel chambered shell with a 2 strike electronic primer and two shots.
9:40 Slapping your magazine is not allowed in the Austrian army (which I wasn't part of). If you have to slap your magazine to seat it correctly, your manufacturer need better quality control. If you slap the polymer magazine of an AUG for example, while the bolt is open, it's possible that the cartridges jump out of the magazine and get stuck diagonally in the action and you have to clear the gun before you can use it. It's not necessary either, the gun takes the magazine as it should and you only need to tug slightly to make sure the magazine catch engaged properly, as you should btw with any gun, so there's really no reason to slap the magazine in unless you like to make life more difficult for yourself

The RPL-20 (RPT-31 in game) is actually firing the 5.45x39 mm cartridge. It's designed as the new SAW to replace the RPK-74M.
Replace?!.😢😮
@@knrz2562 Yes, because belt fed = more ammo = longer continuous fire.
So far this thing and the Kord 5.45mm were in testing and the Russian military haven't shown much interest about it considering that they have the PKP already.

He’s the only expert that actually plays video games which makes him a lot more interesting to listen to because he acknowledges the liberties that a game has to take to make the weaponry balanced in a fictional digital environment.
Its real name is XCEED from Tec-Target-Schneider
I absolutely love that Jonathan referred to himself as a connoisseur of bull pups. Complete unintended giga Chad this man is.
He literally wrote a book on bullpups.
@@CertMediocre hahaha yeah no kidding, him and Ian are two of my absolute favorite people on youtube
Considering how much the weapon designer loves his bullpups.... That's something they both will have to fight over.
@@CertMediocreI think maybe THE book on Bullpups
@@CertMediocre Specifically on British Bullpups, even more specifically from the Thornycroft to the SA-80, even more more specifically with a beautiful red cover as an option :)
Apparently there were a few blackpowder revolvers that worked like that. I was hoping he'd see the description and comment on that
update in the game it now only fires one shot per loaded cartridge....
Noticed the same.
Yeah I noticed that as well. I think it's to add some visual variety to the reloads.
which makes it even more dumb than usual, taking your hand off the trigger in the exact situation where you would need it there in case you have to use the single round left in the chamber.
it might have also be done to elongate the partial reload to keep all the timings the same, which is a weird decision from a gameplay perspective but would make animation variation implementation easier.
The rm277 in mw2 only has the rear magazine release button. A really silly design decision tbh.
All I need is a breakdown of Killzone's weapons just to see how much sense he can make of it, and to see some Killzone representation on the internet again.
Have a bump for the Killzone algorithm.
I miss that series.
One of my favourite games
Jonathan, the "K" in G36K means "kurz" or short. It's just the german designation for the short carbine model.
Also as a german, I don't mind american guns being attributed to us! =)
The K and C are different models though, with the K having a longer barrel and doesn't come with a picatinny rail by default
Aw nice3
i thought it is Karabiner or Carbine, meaning assault carbine
Which is now owned by True Velocity, who made the polymer cased rounds for it.
the gun is laser beam in BF2042 due to slow firing rate
There is a very experimental coilgun in the commercial market. Ian from Forgotton Weapons did a video on it. Would be interesting to see Jonathan react to it
theres also a different one that matt had on demoranch that shot steel discs
Happy I found this series, always a good watch. I would like to see FEAR's weapons covered, its a good mix of real life but slightly off weapons and totally bizarre energy weapons.
One thing to note, is that handheld portable coil guns already exist. They may not be particularly useful or effective right now but Ian from Forgotten Weapons has done 2 videos on 2 coil guns.
ua-cam.com/video/eAHKS0nVlL4/v-deo.html - GR-1 Anvil
ua-cam.com/video/EwHRjgVWFno/v-deo.html - EMG-02
Had exact same thought.
It of course isn't very powerful and the pieces of steel rod it fired tended to tumble, but it's at least the beginnings of this firearms technology being a real thing.
seeing the Rorsch return as a MK4 is really cool, even though i don't think i will play 2042, i really like that detail!
I am always down for a Deagle waving session. Great content as always.
I wonder if Johnathan hasn't seen the ArcFlash coil gun that Ian covered on Forgotten weapons 10 months ago
Glad someone(s) else was going to ask this, too. :-)
The point Johnathan makes about coil guns being rather unlikely is this:
Carrying the power supply alone is an unreasonable burden for soldiers or military personnel (and will certainly be so in 20 years' time), considering the weight of regular equipment, which is seldom less than 30 kg.
The civilian version is called the Genesis
If it's using the weird polycase ammo I dont see an appreciable market for it, but using 308/6.5Creed/.277 Fury and SR 25 magazines there will be some market. Probably the same people buying FDE SCAR17s a few years ago.
Jonathon mentions Deus Ex Human Revolution, but I can’t seem to find a video of him reviewing the weapons. Possible idea in the future? 👀
Not yet, but with the advances in battery technology it may be a thing sooner that people think it will. Or maybe in 2042?
The Rorsch does like 2500 m/s of muzzle velocity, the real coilguns are like 60 :D
G36 C (Carbine): 9inch barrel, 228mm, designed for police
G36 K (Kurz): 12,5inch barrel, 318mm, designed for paratroopers, KSK, KSM
How to quickly identify them: The K version has 4 holes while the C only has 2 above the barrel
You can never wave around enough deagles, Jonathan.
Interesting how the character actually reloads the rm68 with his left hand when the mag is completely empty. Too bad Johnathan didn’t notice that haha
How cool would it be if you had a crazy strong futuristic weapon (Railgun)
but it has a quirk (You need to reload/manage both the magazine and power supply)
*(cough Metros Tikhar and Railgun cough)*
But Jonathon, we have handheld coil guns now! The huge prototype and smaller prototype Ian showcased earlier this year or last year.
The railgun reminded of Guns in Boundary (basically COD-Counter Strike, but in space). Hey, let Jonathan breakdown on that game.
Absolutely love the series and the tradition of breaking Jonathan mentally through cursed guns. Would be awesome to see Jonathan reacts to weapons of F.E.A.R. and Max Payne series. The guns from those old school timers deserve some attention from this chad
@13:30 the Sage Deuce Grenade Launcher is an over under top break grenade launcher that was also seen in Underworld Awakening.
Amazing work as always! Star Wars Republic Commando perhaps? Or the 007: Everything or Nothing game?
EON! Yes!
Everything or Nothing has the weird situation where nearly everything has the capacity made wrong at the last minute (the demo had correct capacity), and the models all being very crude even for the era.
@@kanrakucheese yeah, definitely in need of a remake.
The HK G36K, the K stands for Kurz= short variant (total length: 833mm) , the C is for the compact variant (total length: 716mm).
I mean that is literally just what the lore text that was on-screen said, I think.
The rpl 20 actually uses 545, it's made to fulfill the same role as the MINIMI
The K suffix for the G36 probably stands for Kurz since it has a short barrel.
I didn’t realise the XCE BAR was real either, I figured since it somewhat gave me Desert Tech SRS vibes it was just a BF-ised futuristic iteration of that…
Also can second that point about slapping mags while reloading.
Just thought I mention it...
to be fair ArcFlash Labs EMG-02 actually uses same kind of batteries as power drills
I though a $700 red dot on a $600 handgun felt bad, a $3500 gun on a $500 red dot feels worse
😂
I couldnt care less about HK weapons but Tommybuilt is definitely a cool company.
Its a bit Longer than the C ( Compact )
I'm not sure about the Civilian Version but if i recall correctly the Military K variant didnt have a Picatinny Rail but came with the "Default" x3 and Red dot Optics - thats the only "odd" thing i notice here
I loved the G36 when I was doing service back in the Day. Was nice to shoot and a blessing to have on Marching considering its low weight
we do have that coilgun Ian was playing with a few months back
I’m reasonably certain Ian from Forgotten Weapons fired a handheld coil gun.
2:20 imagine the jumpscare as you and the enemy meet but died and his corpse flops to your face while listening to Jonathans commentary.
0:49 could it be that this particular C variant has been repaired with a K variant?
The K indicates a export version as far as i know. For the K models is only single and full auto options while the burst is not an option
Just a FYI about the XCE BAR. The real name isn't this one. It's the TTS Xceed (TTS for Tec Target Schneider)
The Railgun pick up in the Last Stand BF4 DLC is a bit more of what you're talking about. You don't change the battery, but it deals massive amounts of damage with a single round breach type loading system
This is the first time I've heard Jonathan mention Deus Ex, I'd love for him to touch on that series, either the OG version or the new ones.
Funny, the RM68 reload is how I reload bullpups, including magazine-fed rifles and bullpup shotguns. I find it much more natural and comfortable than using my left hand the way I would with an AR pattern rifle.
Those kel-tec guys are wild, love 'em
Could we get another Hunt Showdown ep? There's a bunch of interesting/niche weapons including one he specifically mentioned wanting the devs to add last time.
I wonder if Nordvik is a reference to, or at least inspired by, Sandvik, which is an actual real swedish industrial company.
Hope he does 6 Days In Fallujah soon
The K in G36K stands for Kurz and means short in German. It is used in other guns like the KAR98K and MP5K
the G36K... the K stands for Karabiner (german for carbine). i dont know why the g36c is marked g36k. maby the useing the same parts. cause it is a modular system after all.
The G36K ("Kurz", which is German for short) is slightly longer than the G36C ("Compact") by abouts 10 cm.
there already IS a handheld coil gun. It's been on forgottenweapons.
You saying we won't have handheld coulguns by 2042 is a bit odd, considering we have handheld coulguns *now*
The EMG-01 and EMG-02 are both handheld, man portable coilguns.
Pretty sure G36K also stands for Carbine but it is the domestic designation. In german we write it "Karabiner"
There are handheld coil guns being made, they're pretty much fancy bb guns as of now tho
There's a company called Sage Control that makes a double barreled 37mm riot gun. Also available in 40mm.
I saw a video of a drill with a styr Aug where the dude reloaded it with his right hand and actually beat the record for speed
