Please don`t use all your fingers. Release with your index and middle finger. If u feel uncomfortable like that u can also use just your middle finger or middle and ringfinger. The first option is the most used one. And don`t move to fast. Stay near the basket till u can make 10 in a row. It will take u some time to become a good shooter. If u work every day on it for 4-6 months u will be the best shooter on your team a make 3 pointers easy. Also it is really important to film yourself, so u can see all your mistakes and fix them. Like u can film yourself every two days work on changing one thing. After u have a good jumpshoot it will be just tons of reps
Release using either your index and middle finger, or you can release using all 3 fingers excluding you thumb and pinky, depends on which one is more comfortable
My finishing is good I just need to learn to make the ball spin and I play with double rim so if that shit don't hit the board perfectly it ain't going
Use your left hand and just stand in front of the backboard and just aim to hit the backboard and have the ball bounce off lightly and catch it and do it again
Bro u been playing for almost a year only. Relax, you probs aint even able to lay up with ur strong hand consistently. Once u start getting better and start practicing different types of finishes, dribble moves etc. Just remember to practice the same thing both sides and eventually u will be able to do a lot more with ur off hand
Depends, how do u judge ur in game performance? Dont just look at the score. For me, the way u know u have improved is when u either, start knowing EXACTLY what to do in different situations in game or when u score more while taking less shots
This my coach fr
Fr tho
Ong bro
Do you recommend using shooting fingers for beginners or just use all our finger to snap the ball
Use what works for you, but I’m sure Keith can help more

Shooting must come off your index or middle
Yessir this what I need right here added a new drill for my workout good looks my guy!!!
The problem is that my other hand sucks too😅
Hell no bro😂
This worked so well, I’m subbing
This is how Bob hurley sr used to begin his practices with the precepts of utilizing a weaker hand 👍🏼
Another amazing vid bruh
👇🏻
Thank you!!! I’m about to do tryouts for freshman year summer league. Do u have any advice for me??
I found this useful as! Also goated kicks❤

My finishing in a nutshell be like
But my problem is I can't run while dribbling with the left hand
So don’t. Dribble with your right hand and when you gather the ball, finish with left
just practice dribbling with your left hand
@@bananalegend194 and do this. Don't know why I didn't say that
You the guy
my fucking neighbor complains ever time I play basketball (She's my French teacher at school)
I see you u with the ja 1’s
How tall are you man?
My finishing is good I just need to learn to make the ball spin and I play with double rim so if that shit don't hit the board perfectly it ain't going
Is that ja1 family trivia?
Smart
Do it with a weighted ball
helps!
Ik this is off topic but I’m too distracted by the singular ceiling fan
😂😂
I started playong basketball few months ago prolly a year ago and i still cant finish with my left, i camt even hit the backboard
Use your left hand and just stand in front of the backboard and just aim to hit the backboard and have the ball bounce off lightly and catch it and do it again

Keep practicing and playing hard, enjoy the process and trust it! ❤️🔥
I understand the struggle. Been working on my left for 2 months now and it’s been frustrating because i can finish with my right really well
Dang, i don’t got a week, tryouts next tuesday
How’d it go?
how many meters or steeps should place that cone?
are we supposed to do it with the left hand if i'm a right hander?
for the uncomfortable distance is it supposed to be farther or shorter than usual?
Slightly too far usually if youre too close its a standing layup
Why don’t I see any change in my in game performance when I can tell I’m getting better?
play more live ball
I do it too, you might not be comfortable using your new skills in the game because you’re afraid that you will mess up or turn the ball over
@@keithpoitierperformance hard here in ireland, im 12 and my team practoce is only once a week. Also basketball is umpopular here

@@Osmedfr Keep grinding ❤️🔥
Is it ja1 on ur foot?
Looks like he’s wearing the Ja 1 Trivia.
u gotta master the first drill then move on to these ones
I see a those ja 1️⃣
2nd
I’m right handed but I’m better at doing layups with my left
I do this with a water bottle
Should be teaching kids how to shoot before they get to the basket, like a floater or a pull up.
He has 😂
Those are dead moves bro, this is the new generation. 3’s and layups get u way further
@@Drogas3653 ??? Even steph who is the "role mode" for the new generation of shooting 3s has one of the best floaters in the league and uses it often.
@@Khergit a floater falls under the layup category imo
